Almost got electrocuted on day one and they NEVER fixed my space (stayed over a year). The on-site lady is super nice but management above her doesn't care about tenants or the space. The ceiling insulation is falling and gets everywhere... I had enough when I came to visit my space after dark in a pinch and still had no lights in my 10x30 space after a year plus. Paying way to much for crap like this. Again the on site lady is super nice and always kind but I can see corners are being cut above her. Will never go back. read more

I needed help paying my brother's public storage account. His storage unit is in another city. I was told you can pay the bill at any location. Travis was so friendly and helpful. He wasn't sure of the procedure, so he called another staff member for guidance. It is nice when someone cares and helps you. Seems rare these days. read more

Don't buy the insurance! First PS makes it seem a requirement to buy the insurance. They itemized your monthly bill to reflect the insurance. Then when you try to cancel they make it impossible to do. If you deduct the insurance and don't pay it they add 3x the amount in a late fee. I am traveling out of the country now but as soon as I return I am taking my things out of PS! They are not reputable business people. The local employees on site are good. The PS website and no customer service sucks!! read more

The ceiling in the storage space is falling apart and parts of the dirty and dusty (moldy) insulation fall down onto your personal belongings. The top of the storage units is not enclosed allowing for spiders and rodents to travel from storage space to storage space. In the summer, the interior smells mildewy. Water easily flows in under the steel rolling doors. read more

Moved my things out of this storage unit to move it to an indoor facility. There were mouse droppings on a lot of the clear bins and they ate through some of my things. I know it's an outdoor storage facility, but even with a pull down door, the items closest to the door were filthy. Spend a bit more money and go to an indoor, climate controlled facility. read more

Hey guys. I rate this location a 0. Since my lease was up and I needed a break, I had ALL my property in a storage unit for a couple of months while on vacation and came back to quite a surprise. All my things were damaged. My white furniture (sofa, desk, entertainment center)and wicker furniture were damaged from water damage and mold growth on them. The bags off clothes (93% of entire wardrobe) were infested with eggs and roaches. My electronics were damaged from the leaking ceilings. Not to mention, when I first called to set up my move-in, the representative told me the units were climate controlled... This is obviously false! The manager neeeeever answers the phone when you try to call (and returns your message a day or three later) and all the while they're sitting at the desk or usually on the frequent lunch breaks (since there's only one person on duty most of the time). I don't wish for anyone to go through the things I'm currently going through and it's been 3months since I've been back in my new apartment with absolutely nothing to sleep on, sit on, or wear. I'm a server at a restaurant so everything I owned was purchased from hard earned money. Again, I've been fighting this for 3months now!!! Choose another location or company! read more

What a dump. The insolation or whatever it is, interplanetary mold for all I know, fell from the ceiling on all of my things, ruined everything. I wonder if it was asbestos? Also got broken into twice. Try to file an insurance claim. Lol. If you don't have your actual store receipt for the item stolen they won't honor your claim. read more

They raised the rent every other month. I went from paying $50 to $100 in less than a year for an outdoor storage unit. Recently changed my location and I'm paying $50 elsewhere for a climate controlled indoor unit. read more

Not a place I would recommend. The lady working the desk when I initially rented this unit (2 years ago) is still working there so that's a positive. She is very nice and was very helpful but she can not make up for the physical limitations of this site. if you want to go in with anything larger than a pick-up truck be prepared for a near impossible task. Every corner has paint or damaged fencing. The unit was a 10x30 which we needed but the ceiling lights did not work on 3 of the 5 circuits/ conduits. The insulation is falling off of the ceiling and was all over the items I had stored. I was fortunate that this unit did not leak and we did not have issues with roaches but maybe because I put traps and powder down when we moved in. I'm not sure any storage unit is a good experience but this one failed my expectations in many ways. To top it off they refused to let me place two bags of trash in their dumpster (most of it was their insulation that I had swept up.) 240.00/ month for two years and you can't use my dumpster...the icing on the cake. read more

The area is shady. From the beginning I haven't be able to get all of the lights in my storage unit working (only 1 out of 3 working), because the staff doesn't have light bulbs (what?!) or the ability to fix the electrical problems. The ceiling material (insulation I believe) has been falling onto my belongings from the beginning. I have been in my unit for 5 months, and they are increasing my rent $40/month at my 6 month mark for the same, crappy quality storage unit. I DO NOT recommend this to anyone who wants to keep their belongings in good shape. read more

I had a break in and needed a storage unit asap. I worked with Casey Dean and she was friendly and professional. I came in late in the evening and made it out shortly before closing. Things were still horrible at the home front and within hours of getting my unit, I needed to close it. Casey contacted her manager Jordan Messer and I'm scheduled to get a refund. I'd literally ran off the road and needed two tires, all of this from lack of sleep after my break in. I appreciate the both of them for taking time to listen and being helpful. The unit itself, I was not happy with whatever is growing on the ceiling. But, my furniture would be covered so I wasn't concerned. I was disappointed that they use the bait and switch approach to renting units. $1 for the first month, $25 admin fees (like for what?), and $20 lock to secure the rental. So I'm still paying $50 the first month. That's horrible. The inside of the unit ceiling looks horrible. They said it's in the process of being fixed. Looks like that was a lie and the inside of the office smelled like marijuana. I'm like are you getting high at work? read more

Customer service although pretty good, does not redeem high cost and unwillingness to work w/ customers and general condition of property. I was looking for a storage for about 3 month then a place a call to public storage spoke Vernon very polite and very aware of his job. Made an appointment went in and he took his time showed me the sizes. He even educated me on many different aspect of the storage I was impress. Due to his knowledge of the sizes and my items he helped me made a valuable decision that all my items fit well. I wish it had many people like Vernon that took their time with the customers and making sure the customer is satisfied. Because of Vernon I have recommended many people to self storage. Whitney was AWESOME!!! She exhibited great customer service. I spoke with her earlier after reserving my storage unit online. She asked me to come by the storage to view the unit. I told her that I would be leaving work early to get there. She assured me that she would wait for me if I was running late. I ended up going to the wrong location. I called Whitney and told her where I was and what happened. She said I will wait for you until you get here. When I got there she was waiting with all my paperwork in hand to sign after looking at the storage unit. She made the process easy. Job well done Whitney. Thanks again!!! read more

Back in May I was told that I would get a special deal for $25 for the first month. I only needed it for a month so I figured this would be perfect. When I got to the storage place I was told that I had been misinformed. I had to come up with $58 and instead of the $80 a month I was quoted over the phone, I was told it would be something like $175 a month. They also prorated that amount to get me in. I also was not told I had to pay $20 for a lock in which I could have brought my own for a lot cheaper. When It was time to remove my things out of storage, in which I had paid the $175 and was ready to move out a full month ahead of time, I was informed there would be no prorated refund. They prorate you to get you in but if you have money coming back they don't prorate. I discussed this with a manager a black guy at the austell road location and he laughed at me. I would not do business with these people again under any circumstances. They are a complete rip off! To top it off , when I moved into my place I discovered that I had transported roaches from the storage unit. My place is contaminated with them now. read more
