Malcolm is great with communicating with customers. Any issues get resolved with a clear, concise path to a resolution. He is also friendly, professional, and shows that he cares about the people who use or have used the facility. Hours are inconvenient, but it didn't affect me as much as others since my schedule is flexible. There is a gravel lot you can use for parking while using, or one of the loading bays. read more

I've had a unit for over 3 years with no issues, facility was clean. Since new management has taken over, my unit now has rodents.. RODENTS.... Over $8,000 worth of items ruined! The halls leading up to my unit smells like a bum is living there. Management is aware, was told "you never now who you're renting next to". If I was you, I'd find somewhere else to store your items. We are at a complete loss of all our items now. AND have to move the items out ourselves and dispose of them. This place went from 5 stars to -1 stars! read more

Professional and clean. They made it convenient to easily move in and out as needed. Friendly staff!

We were looking for an affordable storage unit (hello grad student indentured servitude- aka pittance). Frustrated with ridiculous prices, we found ATL storage through yelp. Just as all the other reviews mentioned, Malcolm was great! He answered any and all our questions, gave us a special, and was quick at looking up what was available. When we went for a visit to see the unit, he gave us a tour and allowed us to reserve without a card hold etc. There were no other hidden fees (that we saw), space was well light and on a side street. They sell packing materials cheaper than most other places in ATL (ex. Master lock for $10 ish vs $15). Although the units have humidity control, we needed a place with climate control- So we ultimately didn't reserve a unit here. read more

I truly appreciate the guys at Atlanta Storage. I've been using them for storage space and moving truck rentals for years and all the staff have been exceptionally pleasant, helpful and accommodating. It's a breath of fresh air to have a business that still seems to be more community oriented than just motivated by profit. That said they have the best rates in Atlanta and their facilities are very well kept up. read more

Had a storage unit there for 2 years and got a great deal for the first year. Malcolm is super helpful and accommodating. Also rented a uhaul from there twice, the trucks are clean and well maintained. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking for storage or uhauls. read more

I rented from them a few times while I lived in Atlanta. I never had any problems getting a vehicle and returning it. The pricing is spot on. The down side is what others have said- parking is limited and the area is sketchy. read more

I've dealt with plenty of horrible U-Haul rental places in the past: a large storage facility that gave me a truck with NO gas; a horrible-smelling "market" that operated a U-Haul truck business "on-the-side" complete with hired crackhead "security guards," a used appliances store that held up my reservation for an hour because the owner was having his family reunion on-site the very same day, etc. etc. Imagine my surprise when I came across a U-Haul rental facility that: * Had the EXACT TRUCK I reserved online, READY FOR PICKUP on the day I reserved it...with GAS IN IT (3/4 of a tank, in fact)...OPERATIONAL ...CLEAN...with a dolly and furniture pads FREE OF CHARGE. A moment of silence, please, as we bask in the glory that is Atlanta Storage. My lamentations over U-Haul bullshit shenanigans are no more, at least within the Atlanta Metro area. Pros: *Re-read the review above. * Competent Staff (The guy who helped me was cute and smells good. I would have hit on him but I was too focused on the truck and blinded by quality customer service.) *Small business. (Small businesses make the area less sketchy.) Cons: *Parking is tricky to find. If you can't park in the loading area, you can park on the street or on in the U-Haul truck lot at the corner of Metropolitan & Shelton. *Sketchy area. (Go in the daytime. You won't regret it...unless you leave your car there overnight. But why would you do that?! O_o? ) read more

Storage units are extremely clean. All have indoor access. Appear to have good security. Helpful staff who will rent you a unit without creeping you out like at some other facilities (where do they find these people?). Also less than two blocks away from a MARTA stop. BUT.... the neighborhood is sketchy. If you don't mind the location, then this is a solid four star place. Just thought you should know. read more

I love the staff here they are friendly understanding they are extremely clean very very helpful words can't explain my love for this place has the area to perfection Atlanta storage the best ever read more

Very very rude front desk person with the dreads. Does not answer the phone and made me waste a trip coming up here to tell me they have no units when I could've been told that over the phone read more

THATS ME OPENING UP THE TRUCK! I was moving from Atlanta to Houston last year... and I was excited to help. I always enjoyed visiting this storage. Both of the gentleman that worked there always was pleasant and professionally conversational. The guy that is also in the video has always been helpful when I needed. Although the location is on the WESTEND... it is in the hood, no one is gonna bother you. Folks in the hood needs storage too. lol read more

Recently used these guys. A separate customer was late bringing back a large truck which I was scheduled to use, so the area manager "Josh" called UPS traffic control to locate the closest truck of comparable size in the area. The area manager personally drove me to the recommended location to pick-up and didn't leave until I was in the truck. read more

Thought it was a great spot, until I realized I got scammed - we drove under three miles, had it back two hours before the rental was even due, and I got charged for 30+ miles of travel. Don't trust these dudes at all, would not go back. read more

I have used this place two times since I lived in atlanta, and they have been good to me. Atlanta Storage gives you one month free rent and Malcolm is always there to help. Customer service is not the Best in Atlanta but they do a great job there. read more

Do not count on the honor system at this location! When renting a U-Haul truck here, make sure you confirm the gas & mileage before and after your trip because you will be robbed otherwise. I rented a truck here this weekend and used it to move my things from storage to my new apartment less than 5 miles aways on Northside Drive. Though I refeuled the truck before returning it two hours later to the surprise of the clerks at the store (my movers are super fast and awesome), I was first told that we parked the truck in the wrong place in the lot (though we were not given specific instructions other than to park it in the assigned lot across the street) then told we would be charged an additinal $17 for gas and an additional $20+ for mileage as the truck had been driven for 28.8 miles (by whom? I have no idea). When I explained to the clerk (R. Simpson) that we had gone less than 5 miles up the same street Metropolitan Pkwy/Northside Drive) and back, he contested and said he had to go by the numbers. Since I hadn't been asked to confirm the gas and mileage before I took the truck, I felt duped. But I returned to the truck anyway to double check his recording of the returning mileage and it was actually 6 miles less than what he had noted on the invoice. I returned to the office to point out the discrepancy and he went out to the truck again and returned to offer no apology and then stumbled to offer a refund which the other clerk on duty had to step in and assist him with as he didn't know how to do it. After many minutes, I asked how the refund would be processed and the second clerk said that the initial hold that was placed on my card had been replaced with a new charge when I returned the truck and that charge would been returned and replaced with the (third) new corrected amount. I further inquired as to how many holds would actually be on my bank account in real time and he said it may take a few days for the charges to clear or be lifted from my account (yikes). Overall this entire experience left me feeling like I was taken advantage of and ripped off because I never confirmed the outgoing gas or mileage. However I literally drove from the rental site to the Public Storage (at 647 Donald Lee Hollowell Pkwy -- which straddles the corner of Hollowell and Northside Drive) to my apartment at 499 Northside Cirlce which Google Maps notes as 4.8 miles north of this U-Haul dealer on Northside Drive. While this location was great in having trucks available for last minute reservations on a busy Saturday, their oversight in mielage and gas recordings fell on me -- the customer. If for some reason myself or anyone I know rents here in the future, I will definitely make note to ask the clerk on duty to walk out to the truck with us and confirm the gas & mileage before heading out and once returning as oversights can prove expensive. read more

I used this facility for 5 months. The office staff was pleasant and professional. When I moved out, my belongings were covered with rat and /or mice droppings because according to management, " the owners of the adjacent storage were storing food items". Following many attempts to speak to management, I finally gave up. I emailed and forwarded photos, but was only able to communicate with who may have been their administrative assistant. The experience was frustrating to say the least. The owner /managers never offered to pay for any cleaning or to compensate me in any way for what was clearly not my fault. They never bothered to apologize for the rodent infestation. My experience had to be a textbook example of some of the worst customer service practices ever displayed. I will never use them again. One star because of the kindness of the daily office staff read more
