Prime Storage lost my belongings after moving my unit. Management has done nothing to resolve it, and I was disrespected and threatened by employees when I asked for an update. Very disappointing experience. They are saying I moved out before the construction whats not true and all my things are still missing. I have call many times and send e-mail but no answer. I've had items stolen from unit and it was never replaced. Based on a year of being with them the over turn rate is high and causes problems amongst employees and tenants. If they "feel" you violated the contract you will be automatically terminated. Honestly do not rent with them unless you really have too. read more

I have traveled a lot for my education and profession, so I've used storage for many years. I have two students at college in Atlanta and have needed to store things in a safe, clean, and accessible location. Prime Storage off Delk Road was recommended to me by one of my colleagues that was familiar with the area. This is one of the best recommendations I have ever received. The place is wonderful and the people are even better. If there is a challenge 3arises, they quickly resolve it. They remain friendly, calm, a transparent. I rented a unit from Prime storage located in Marietta, GA Powers Ferry Pl. on or around 10/19/2024. At the time of the rental, I was given the option of 2 storage units which were later told to me were unavailable. I was then contacted by the GM (Patrick) to move me to another unit and promised me a cost of $114 (a special rate that they were offering during that time). After one month of being in that unit, I began to notice a leak in their roof which hovered over my unit. Each time it rained, my items were being damaged. The GM at the time offered to place a covering over the roof to prevent further damage to my items until they fixed the leak. Several months went by with constant complaints regarding the same issue. I filed a claim for the damaged items under my renters insurance in December 2024; however, Prime Storage did not respond to me until 3 weeks to one month later after I visited the facility several times to complain about the lack of communication. After going back and forth with the claim adjuster that they required me to use before I was able to rent, I was finally paid a portion of what my items were worth. On 02/21/2024, I filed a final complaint and received an email from the new GM, Adam who stated that I declined to move out of the unit (which I did not decline. I requested that they paid for the transfer of the unit since it is the fault of the facility for not mentioning to me that they had maintenance/leakage issues before it was rented to me). Furthermore, I never had a conversation with the new GM (Adam) regarding this matter; therefore, he had no basis to lie on me and say that I declined to move to another unit). I was told later by an assistant manager after multiple complaints about water damage to my unit that he was aware of the issue prior to me renting. Adam (GM) became upset about the recent complaint and told me that he wanted to discontinue with me renting from me and asked me to be out of the unit by 03/17/2025 (Eviction) instead of rectifying the situation in a professional matter. Now I have the financial burden of moving out of a unit because they refused to fix the link in their unit. Not to mention they abruptly increased my rent to $214 from $114 after only 2 months of renting from them (they cannot increase rent within this short period of time) and failure to maintain proper maintenance on its facility which violates the Georgia House Bill H.B.811 for Storage facilities which protects customers from predatory practices from Storage facilities. From start to finish they helped us so much! They were willing to bend over backwards when our less than credible moving company decided to hi-jack our belongings. A huge shout out to Jeremiah! NEVER USE THIS PLACE. They are a complete scam. AND THEY ARE DIRTY. Their employee did not complete the required documents for my move out even though I was upfront with every single person I spoke with about moving out in 1 month. NOW they charged me OVER 400$$ for 1 month of storage. I did not get any $1 promotion month or anything. The employee does not even work there anymore which is their excuse for not helping me out and charging me more. MANAGER is A JOKE I called multiple times to speak with them.... I'm taking the bad credit over paying them anymore money. They didn't even have the decency to get the manage to call me about this.
