Connie has so been helpful giving me information on both properties in the area and while I was actually going to "go with the other" she continued to help me. Some how a misunderstanding came about and at the last minute (I do mean last) and she was able to fit me onto her site whew ! When we arrived she had just finished cleaning and treating the unit to be rented. We started the paperwork, she explained everything and later delivered an envelope to me knowing that we were on a time schedule. If you need a storage unit call about availability Ark fills up pretty quickly and the "special rates" are "good for six months only." read more

Who knew a storage place could make you feel at home?!? Connie and Laurie are absolutely fantastic! I have been using this facility for over 5 years and I will never go anywhere else. Location and price are important but being able to access my unit at anytime and still feel safe is huge for us! This facility and specifically the ladies that work here are so kind and helpful that we have several family members and friends that have units at this facility. If you are considering a storage unit then look no further as this is the best bang for your buck! Clean units, friendly staff and safe access 24 hours makes this the best storage deal in town!!! read more

Ms Connie and Ms Laurie are not only the casement professionals but the salt of the earth as well. I always feel safe at the property no matter the time of day. Ark is one of the very few properties that does not close its gates to it's residents. Ms Connie ALWAYS knows who's on her property at all times...and always knows what they are doing there. Ark is cost effective, clean and safe...why who one go anywhere else. There are never very many spaces open because these two ladies generate word of mouth advertisement....and you can't pay for that. Such a great experience!! I was truly dreading having to deal with getting a storage unit in between my move( I've heard stories before) but the Ladies here made it a wonderful experience. They were helpful and informative, even offered my movers water while they were unloading things into the unit! read more

I had an excellent experience from the first contact onward. The manager lives on site and really went above and beyond the call of duty, is on-call via phone all the time (after hours - leave a message and you get a rapid call-back), and from what I recall has monitors in her house. It seemed like every time I was there after hours I saw her car there and I came there fairly frequently so she is on-site a lot after hours. She is in the office until 6 so you can drop by after work if you want. The security cameras are sharp and a good amount. They are on top of pest control prevention. There are outlets outside the units so if you need electricity you can use an extension cord to bring it into your unit. Unlike other area storage units that charge $25 and up for one-time sign-up fees, when I signed up at the Cobb Parkway Ark Self Storage location fall 2016 there was no fees besides the first month's rent and when I signed up you got half off the first months rent. I had a climate control unit and it was kept at a warmer temperature in the winter than other storage units do and nice and cool in the summer. It was also great to be comfortable when I was sorting through my unit, not freezing in winter or sweating in summer. The other people who I met who rented there were very friendly and accommodating. As an attractive young woman I went there often even late at night and I never felt unsafe. I always knew the manager was on-site and just a phone call away. Plus some of the patrons are very nice people who come frequently. They stayed out of my business, but I knew if trouble started they would help out. There are a few bands that practice there at the time I write this, but they are required to be in the climate control units (per management) so they are not loud. They are actually really great bands musically speaking when I went and put my ear close to the door. They are super polite. No one ever pushed me, talked very much to me, or pressured me, but just said hi and left me to do what I needed to do, which is something I liked. I was greeted with a locked door, although an employee was inside. He was arguing with someone. When he saw me he opened the door and yelled for another worker to come inside. The second guy came in, and I was immediately confused. He was in business clothes but was sweating to the point that he was literally dripping onto the floor. He looked like he had just run a marathon through the Sahara. I asked if he was okay and he said yes, that he had just "been lifting outside" on his lunch break. Odd, but whatever, to each his own. The sweaty guy eventually got my my keys and I was off. I completed my move and dropped off the truck. That's when trouble began. I accidentally left a box in the truck, but only realized it after I left. I called the next morning as soon as they opened and asked if I could come retrieve the box. (I had dropped off the keys in the box the night before, and could not get back into the truck). I was told that I could not get the box and that it had already been discarded. I was also charged a $25 clean-up fee, despite asking if I could come take care of the box myself. The people who work here are the worst kind of lazy - they don't provide any up-front help and then won't work with you when you return your rental. They are completely incompetent, and whatever they are being paid is too much. My advice is to avoid this facility and give your business to a place that will let you claim your own box rather than throwing it away before talking to you.

For example, you cannot trust consumer ratings on the company's website which are all collected on the first day of move in and curated by the company to publish only the most positive of reviews. You will note that there is no way to publish an independent review of Public Storage on its website after the first day of move in. Beware of reviews posted on Yelp and Google reflecting satisfaction with the first day of move because the company facilitates their placement. Concentrate on reviews of Public Storage over the length of the rental experience. I am a deeply dissatisfied customer particularly because of Public Storage's bait and switch pricing practices. Without stating so, the company attempts to lure you in with a rental rate that is superficially reasonable. There is no opportunity to sign an annual contract or to lock in a long-term rental rate. In my case in what I understand to be standard practice for this company, the company arbitrarily announced a 35% rent increase six months after I rented my unit raising my bill from $281 to $381/month. The amount is, no doubt, calculated to squeeze as much extra income as possible out of the renter while still making it uneconomical to hire movers to change to a different facility. In essence, one you store your stuff with them they have you over a barrel and exploit that mercilessly. When I objected, I was told they did not care, and I was welcome to take my business elsewhere. I would suggest you do so as well.

I paid a simple hourly fee for the labor, and a flat fee for the junk removal of the old units. No hidden costs. Richard was the team lead, and his experience was clear; they arrived on time and they handled the job with speed and assuredness. They quickly took out the old units with a lot of care to my property, then they fully installed the new ones for me. They made all the connections and tested it, so I didn't have to worry. I can't say enough about how well they treated me - they were all true pros every step of the way. AHM handled each detail, and I ALWAYS knew what to expect and what it would cost in time and money. They were transparent with everything and took great care of me. I will happily hire them again whenever I need labor, junk removal, or moving services.

My friend and I did that and put them in the two largest boxes I had, and handed them to the workers that way (so I guess they ended up breaking down those two of course, but the rest were all flat.) I don't have cardboard recycling at my apartment and I have a vending machine business, so I'll definitely be back at some point to recycle more cardboard and possibly other materials.
