NOT A PROFESSIONAL MOVING COMPANY!!!…read more Rushout Movers = a man named Phillip who has 3 strong sons. The boys and Phillip are hard working, kind, polite, honest, and communicative; however, they do NOT know how to move big homes! A lot of our furniture now has scratches and dents, and that is not even the most upsetting part. This beautiful newly renovated home we just bought now has scratches on the hardwood floors and dents on the walls. We stretched to buy this home and now it has bumps and bruises before we even started living in it :( The boys were careful, but they do not know how to load a trailer - never stack 10 boxes high with no ratchet to secure it all together. And make sure the laundry machines are properly padded and covered. We bought our laundry machine (you know those aren't cheap) less than a year ago and now there are DEEP scratches on it and the lid won't even close all the way. So many of our belongings fell on top of each other in the 2.5 mile drive to our new home. Moreover, they did not start until 10am and did not end until 9pm, and that's only because my injured husband (ankle injury in which he has been advised to not exercise, hence hiring movers) had to help for hours AND they still ended up leaving a lot of heavy things in the garage because it was getting so late and everyone was so tired. Phillip completely under-estimated the number of movers needed and how long it would take. My husband had already asked Phillip to finish the next day because his boys were already 8 hours deep and tired, and their unfit, completely inexperienced buddy had already left, but I'm sure they just did not want to pay for another day to rent a U-Haul. If you need a one-bedroom apartment moved - hire them. If you need simple unloading (no fancy appliances) - hire them. If you need someone strong - hire them. If you need someone knowledge on how to move a 3,000 sq ft home - do NOT hire them.

I won't name the complex, because I am really upset at the decline of the quality of living there over the past 11 months- but basically I asked a bunch of companies to get me estimates for moving on Friday night, and I ended up going with Tote because they sent out an estimator right away, and also the price was reasonable. Luke reached out to me Friday night, and we texted about getting someone over quickly. First thing Monday morning he was in my apartment, COVID aware and safely estimating the cost of my move. They were not the cheapest, but from the professionalism and thoroughness of walking through my entire place- his estimate wasn't that far off from the final bill. Monday I chose to move, they came today. Two days. This morning Tyson and Dexter called me on their way to my apartment to give me a heads up. We walked through the apartment and the clock started around 9:40. Within 2.5 hours they packed up my entire place and loaded it. I had many items already packed and they did an amazing job getting it out of the apartment so quickly and professionally. Literally world class workers. Zak called me and wanted to check in on how things were going. We discussed insurance options, and I let him know I was very pleased with the team they sent out. I moved about 13 miles. On the way here I bought lunch, and we provided drinks as a courtesy since these guys were CRUSHING it today. They were done about 30 minutes after the 5 hour estimate- but that's not a big deal in my book. All in all- they moved a 3 bedroom apartment in 5.5 hours. The unloading was also Championship level because there are three levels in the house and they were accommodating to the places we needed items moved. My parents had several boxes from their move. The movers gladly offered to take them out of the garage and also the boxes of packing paper. It was tremendous, the extra effort they made to make sure we were happy. I can't thank Dexter and Tyson enough. I was VERY happy that my family was happy. I want to give a special thank you to John Magruder, who is the head of operations there. I had one item damaged, and he resolved it about 5 minutes ago personally to my satisfaction. It's 10 PM, and he answered my texts (I was expecting to talk tomorrow, but he was going on vacation and wanted to get this resolved ASAP). Sincerely, a great person to offer to talk tonight and get this completely resolved so he can enjoy his vacation and I can move on with my unpacking and settling in. AWESOME person. Tote handles local and national moving. I am going to recommend this company HIGHLY to anyone that needs a hand with their move. Support small business owners! Especially during these difficult times.

Let me preface that I hate giving poor reviews to small businesses...I understand that reviews can…read morebe much more important to them than they are to large chains... that being said, moving is typically a high anxiety enterprise and you need to know as much info about who you choose to move with as you can. I also feel that all actions have consequences, some good, some bad...this is the latter. I recently had an out of state move with a full pack that I had set up with Tote Moving & Delivery months prior. I called in frequently to make sure everything was on schedule and was always told by the owner that it was. They called to inform two days prior to the move that they were going to outright cancel the move as they had 2 employees out sick and one other who had a family member pass. I understand that things happen and I can be sympathetic but to have no backup prepared for an out of state move and/or to not even offer to move the date back was unacceptable and put me in a terrible, stressful bind. This ended up costing me thousands of dollars extra to procure a last minute mover. I was also not pleased that I had spoken to the owner all throughout the process but when it came time to give me bad news, that job was given to another of his employees. I asked the owner to contact me and he told me he was too busy covering for the workers that were out. My total move was to be over $8000 and that did not even warrant a personal call back in the owner's eyes? *I will say they did offer to have another company that they had a relationship with try and assist me but when I read reviews of the other company, they were flat out scary. They were rated extremely poorly and many reviews mentioned fraud and theft, so I did not consider using them. That did not even seem like a viable solution based on what my research came back with. If you use Tote, perhaps you will have a better experience...but just know that the potential for the whole thing to fall apart is there, it happened to me.

I had to file a police report for my insurance as Cortez basically told me it was he said/she said and his guys don't steal. I really wanted to like this team and give them the benefit of the doubt. I had a crew of three do…read morea LOAD job, loading a 26' UHaul moving truck for a 3-bedroom apartment. One of the crew was on his phone nearly the whole time and needed several verbal prompts and reminders of tasks. Throughout the LOAD, the crew did not use tie-downs or ratchet straps at all to secure the load throughout the truck. I kept mentioning it as a suggestion (knowing they're the 'professionals' and should know what they're doing, and again, give them the benefit of the doubt... but I've also moved several times and know securing throughout the truck is critical for security) but they assured me 'it was packed tightly.' Additionally, the crew did not use provided furniture pads or plastic shrink wrap to wrap/protect furniture, shelving, pictures, paintings, etc. - even with me giving suggestions to do so... When we unloaded at our destination, several pieces of furniture were damaged, either punctured, scuffed, scratched, or bent... because the load was not tied down nor were furniture pads used to protect surfaces. I wanted to trust that everything would go well, but it didn't unfortunately... so all of this to say... I'd not recommend this team.
