That's when I suggested we check out Walker Street Mini Storage. It did look a tad bit sketchy but it was still located within Castleberry Hill. Plus it was across the street from No Mas Cantina! Let me just say that there are not too many places in Atlanta where you truly feel like a business is family owned! Even though its not a family owned business (actually operated by the developers H. J. Russell), Lenora made the experience so easy and awesome! No contracts...month to month rentals...and access to 7PM every night! Plus it was very affordable! The only negatives are that they did not offer their own insurance and their climate control rooms were not that fantastic and would be difficult to move furniture into them. On moving day, I realized that the unit I had reserved wouldn't accommodate all of my belongings. Store Manager Jalena D. went above and beyond to help. She quickly found an additional unit--conveniently located directly across from my original one--and walked me through the entire process of adding the new space. She even offered water to my movers during the transition. I had an issue and some questions about the space, so I called nd since nobody was available to speak with at the time I requested a callback, nobody even thought about calling back, even after 2 days of requesting a callback, still no callback, this was red flag, so I canceled my contract public storage for the time ever, they never even called with the customary follow up for a new rental, so I literally have not spoken to one person in that since my initil signup. You have now opened me as a FORMER customer up to Cubesmart who at least showed the standard and much better customer service at least at that store. This store failed to do basic good business practice. Its a downtown store so they have probably gotten comfortable with lack of customer service because they don't have to worry about foot traffic, but this is one foot that won't traffic into this store ever.
