This should have been my first red flag because no other mover I contacted requested a deposit to hold the date. When I told them I needed to cancel our move they told me they had to keep my deposit because I only gave them 2 weeks notice instead of the 3 that they require. I had literally booked them the week before. Their contract states that the return of the deposit is "discretionary" I asked why they were choosing to keep my deposit and they said they had to turn down other work, so I simply asked them to provide me with proof of the work they turned down and they stopped responding to me. I just think this is a really terrible thing to do considering they did zero work for us, had 2 two weeks notice and chose to keep my money instead of returning it. Please don't book them unless you are 100% certain that your move will happen.

Once I called regarding some mouse droppings I found in the unit (which Google says is quite common and unavailable) and I was really upset, and she told me how they would do everything they could to help and what I could do to improve the situation. She handled it wonderfully. Every time I called, Nieashia was friendly and awesome. So, a huge thanks for Nieashia! And I really appreciated Michelle T's friendly monthly calls to remind me to make a payment to avoid late fees. Michelle once helped us financially in a huge way. The monthly calls and that one discount probably saved us hundreds of dollars over the years- so a huge thank you to her too!

They were excellent all around, from Amy, the moving coordinator, to Josh, Joe and Neil the three gentlemen that performed my move. Communication from Amy was clear, prompt and friendly. The movers arrived right on time for an 8 am start. They knew their stuff. In addition to moving a couch, desk, and chair among other items, they moved my 55" flat screen tv and my Queen-sized sleep number bed with no problems. They do charge an up charge to pack the tv into a specific moving box for flat screens, which I thought was fair and much better than them simply trying to wrap it. They worked quickly and were done loading in 90 minutes. They were also familiar with my new building and knew where to park to unload and quickly got me set up and everything was completed by 1 pm. Moving is stressful, and the movers saw me when I was not at my best, and their friendliness, good humor, and competence really helped me get through the day. I thought the pricing was competitive for a professional service. I did call other companies to compare, and one of them wanted to charge 3x the price to move the flat screen tv, and didn't want any responsibility for the sleep number bed!! Just silly. My last storage unit was very dark and the lighting system was awful. At DE Storage New Garden, the hallways inside are bright and well-lit at all times. I don't have to worry about using a flashlight inside my unit to see where I am. Instead, there is general light provided by the facility that helps me be more efficient with my time while feeling super safe. Also, the management team is incredibly kind and understanding. They truly care. This is by far a FIVE STAR business in the heart of Southern Chester County. Highly recommend!
