    This place is useless. I've rented a unit for a year and a half and just upgraded to a larger unit…read more After realizing the 2nd unit won't be big enough for a few extra items I need to store for a few short months, I decided to inquire about a 2nd additional unit (instead of going larger and then smaller again in a few months). I also inquired about a 3rd unit- a parking space to store an extra vehicle. After leaving a message yesterday afternoon- with no return phone call- I got online to price other storage units in the area. After finding a better price per square foot, I double checked i-storage website. I see that an online reservation is cheaper than an in person rate, so I went ahead and reserved a 2nd unit and received a follow-up message that a manager would contact me to go over the reservation and paperwork. Hoping to move some items on a nice 60° day, I wait for a phone call that never comes. I follow-up AGAIN with i-storage Claymont and NOW I'm told the online price is for new customers only. Nobody called me. Nothing on the website discussed this (see photo). I am now told (per my inquiry) that if I were to move all my things out of my unit and cancel it, that I could go back online as a new customer and get the new customer price. Why on Earth would I deal with the hassle of moving all of my things elsewhere just to move them back? This is an aweful way to operate a business and I doubt that the attorney general's office would feel the same. I can take my timely payments of $200+/monthly for all that space elsewhere. Thanks i-storage. It was a real thrill. I should also add that people live here. There are people who literally park their trucks outside their units all day and you can watch them sitting in their units watching TV and eating out of mini-fridges. I somehow doubt they sleep here at night, but it sure seems like they call this place home.

I called the district manager, Julie to ask why. She said that its all about demand. When you go on the website for istorage for Hickmand road, in De. the rate for a 10x20 outdoor parking area is $76.00 per month, I am paying $119.00 . The istorage in New Castle charges $62.00 for same spot.. Julie is unprofessional , and this all about corporate greed. Many of the other renters will be leaving also. They will miss us.
