Very bad experience with this moving company. It cheats you with super low estimation, and then increase the price drastically on spot. The estimation they gave me was $3200. I had showed them all the pictures of my stuff that needs to be moved and I also told them the number of stair steps I have, everything was communicated to them clear and in details. They gave me a quote but the quote means nothing to them. In the end I had to pay for added time, added materials for wrapping and added fee for bulk item. The amount I need to pay is not even near the estimation, it is way way way more than the estimation. What's the point for estimation anyway. Just to lure the customer to their payment trap? I had to pay $5300 in the end, 65% more than the estimation. So if you are considering this mover, I warn you that you need to add 65% more on their estimation before signing the contract. It walks you through the whole process, you can go room by room checking off the furniture and other items that need to be packed. Super convenient! But the absolutely most fantastic part is their moving crew. I was lucky enough to get Gregory and his team who were wonderful! Very careful with everything, wrapped all my stuff up and got it all to the new place without a scratch! They even took apart my bed and reassembled it and also took my flat panel TV off the wall and boxed it up. I felt like they were really taking care of me and my stuff. It took them 12 hours for this one job, and they were just as enthusiastic unloading the truck at 9 pm as they were loading it at 8 am earlier in the morning. On the day of the move, we had a team of three. Goga ran the show. We had set up a full service move, and they had everything to help us pack. Boxes, tape, padding, wardrobe boxes, tools, etc. The scope of our move got bigger and more involved as the day went on, and Goga and team were kind and graciously adapted to some last minute changes. This was the easiest move I've ever been through. Zip to Zip is very professional, and knows exactly what they're doing. I had several other moving companies not even return my call. Alex called me right away after my Web inquiry, and had my entire move set up with no surprises from the very first conversation. Good website, responsive sales and flexibility leading up to the move. Then the middle of the move, the movers kept mentioning they expect a good tip and they would give me a good deal. After getting to the new move location - they refused to unload my stuff until I paid for the whole move up front and kept asking me how much I'd tip, before the job was done. Then they kept asking me to write reivews on all these sites, including Consumer Affairs while hovering around me, before the job was done. Obviously, this made me very uncomfortable and I signed the contract to confirm number of hours worked, materials, etc. and paid so I could get my belongings back. In the end, I was charged outrageous fees for moving supplies, half of which I specifically did not ask for (I told them use the supplies I already bought) and I wasn't given an itemized receipt until several days and request later. read more

I wanted to write an authentic review to warn prospective customers since these folks seem to coerce people into writing them great reviews - on the spot, before they leave. It even looks like they are so intent on only displaying positive reviews and the highest ratings that they offered someone a partial refund to rewrite their original poor review. This is so devious and deceptive, and the positive reviews were why we chose them in the first place, but you need to know that I'm sure the real truth is that most of them were not great and written under coercion. Their rate seemed a bit on the high side, but they do provide you with 3 men which I would highly recommend as opposed to 2. But then they charge extra for tape, blankets, and shrink wrap - we wound up getting charged well over $200 for this alone. And not a lot of furniture was even moved. Note that they also pro-rate their hourly rate to the nearest half hour, not 15 minutes. They will claim they give you a "discount" for cash, but the reality is that they charge you an extra 3% for a credit/debit card (no checks). So, in the end the price is the price. They will also ask you for a $200 deposit ahead of time (to be deducted from the total), at least they did with us. When it came time to pay, what we offered them for a tip I guess wasn't enough (it was about 18% in cash, since the whole move was in cash, pretty generous) - their lead guy actually said, "just so you know for the future, we usually get $50.00-$55.00," which was over 20%. Who says that about getting a tip? So rude! Most people don't even tip their movers. PLUS, as I said - they pressure you into giving them a great review, then and there. Finally, since everything was shrink wrapped, there was a ton of it to throw out. They left all of that with us to dispose of, didn't even take that away. It filled up our entire garbage bin. If you live in the Bucks County/Montco area, PLEASE TRY LAST MINUTE MOVING IN LEVITTOWN. I've used them twice and they are excellent, but unfortunately, they were booked when we needed them. read more

The initial quote was middle of the range from all the quotes I got from other moving companies. Super communicative, they confirmed with me a day before that the move is still on. Three guys showed up, scanned the rooms and got to work right away. This is first time any movers didn't scrape or scratch any walls. They were very careful with all items. Disassembled all beds and reassembled them super quick. They were friendly and didn't waste much time at all. Move from Philadelphia to Media took about 3.5 hours inclusive of travel time. He took his time to explain the charges and what to expect so there wouldn't be any surprises at the end. His guys were respectful and prompt in the instructions they took from my fiancé, Zura and me. They showed up a few minutes early which was fine with me. After receiving the breakdown of fees, the began working on the move. They were methodical in taking the furniture apart and wrapping/taping it up before loading it into their truck. The placement of the boxes was well done, as it looked like a game of Tetris except the boxes didn't disappear when they were stacked successfully. We explained that college hunks moving company broke a lot of my fiancés furniture and damaged my walls when she moved into my house, so we wanted to avoid that during this move. They didn't break a single thing on our move! I could go on and on about Zip to Zip, but I need to get back to unpacking. Just wanted to write this review while it was fresh on my mind. We had such a horrible experience that we did a deep dive and found that others left negative reviews for very similar reasons to the following: - During the quote conversation, we told them about all of our furniture and an approximation of boxes. They showed up with a 500 cubic ft truck and said they'd need to take two trips. Terrible planning. - Quoted 4-5 hours, took 8 hours. Very inefficient. - We were quoted $1100-1300 and $350 for packing materials. We were told we'd have to pay once the truck was half unloaded. The total was $2400 with nearly $1000 of that being on packing materials. A gross underestimation and we had no choice but to pay to retake possession of our things. They also charge a 20% credit card fee. - Despite them asking multiple times if something was going and us responding "yes, everything is going", they left an 8x10 rug on the living room floor. We had to call them to come back and get it. - Used a ridiculous amount of boxes (rather than reusable padded blankets) for padding, shrink wrap and tape to blatantly drive up the cost of packing materials. - Folded up our expensive king mattress like a taco, wrapped the hell out of it with shrink wrap, then left it in the bedroom to go make the second trip without setting up the bed. My husband had to do so. - Despite wrapping everything, for some reason they did not wrap our ladder shelf at all, which now has a loose shelf and isn't stable. - Inverted the knobs on a cabinet to protect them but did not replace them the correct way upon completion of the move - Left us with all of the shrink wrap trash To sum it up, this was a truly awful moving experience.
