I listened and did what he said, and we came out at the end with very minimal damage. FYI it was the cargo trailer way of moving-you load and unload it yourself. We did the loading end but the Sultans of Schlep sent 3 smart, funny, hipster artists to unload, which they did in 3 hours. I don't plan to move anytime soon but I would hire them again in a minute.

The new light fixtures I asked to have installed were sticking out of the wall because the prior fixture box was not in all the way, and cement had been put around the box to cover it up. Instead of completing the installation of the new fixtures on the old poorly done box and having them stick out, we discussed it, and he suggested that he could chip out the cement, which was not a simple task, and replace the boxes with "half boxes" that I would need to purchase. In the end, he was able to put the original boxes back in properly and install the new lanterns flush with the wall. Looks really good!

He came back to us that same day with a fair quote and was very responsive and friendly with the several follow-up questions we asked in the next days. His brother Dominic and other employee, Blake, were the ones that actually did the work in our home over the course of 9 days. They started by removing some wall paper and then spent numerous hours filling countless holes and cracks in our walls and ceilings. They tried to seal off the areas they were working in in order to minimize the dust as much as possible. They were very diligent at filling all the cracks and holes and smoothing them out so that they were no longer visible. They did several ceilings, a few bedrooms, trim, a living room, kitchen, and hallways, including two staircases. We actually added to the scope of work a couple of times and they were very accommodating. As we were working from home the entire time they were doing the job, we saw first hand how hard they worked throughout the day. They even came back for an extra couple of hours one day to make sure a blemish was fixed. They really went the extra mile, giving it their all and the results showed. We are very happy with how everything turned out! On top of a great outcome, it was a pleasure having them in our home. They were very respectful and friendly, and did a better job of cleaning up at the end of each day than any other contractors we have had in our home. The tech came to my condo and tried to charge me for looking at the table and saying he had to talk…read moreto his manager. He was asking for payment and was planning to leave right then. I told him I'm not paying him for doing nothing and just to leave and supposedly talk to his manager. So he went outside and called his manager and then came back (tried re-entering without knocking) only to quote me $1,000 to take my table to the shop, which needed glue basically, and then $150 for labor ++. I didn't even pay that for the table. He then said he could try and epoxy that might not work for $580. They were terrible to schedule with. This is the epitome of bad business and advantage-taking.
