From start to finish the communications were frequent and responsive (thank you, Jesus - that's the person at Packhorse that I communicated with a lot) as well as professional. The crew, Shane, Charles and Trey arrived on time, were courteous and very professional (as well great to talk to). The packed all the furniture carefully and were vigilant and careful with all my belongings the whole time. They literally worked like packhorses. The cost was reasonable too! "This is one of the worst moving experiences I have ever had. The two movers removed the drawers from my high-quality bureau and stacked them on top of each other without any protective material. In every prior move I've made, the movers left the drawers inside the furniture and wrapped the bureau to prevent them from sliding. That was not the case here, and the handling appeared careless and unprofessional. They repeated this process with my daughter's furniture, and one of her drawers was damaged as a result. When the mover tried to put the drawer back, he told us the issue was caused by clothing caught behind it, even though he had removed the drawers and some clothing had fallen out during that process. The company ultimately compensated us $60 for the damage, which I found wholly inadequate (a more reasonable amount would have been in the $250-$350 range based on typical furniture-repair prices in my area). Additionally, a bag of silver dollars, half dollars, and Susan B. Anthony coins that belonged to my late grandfather had been stored in one of the drawers that was removed during the move. After the move, I discovered that the bag was missing. They also disassembled my electric standing desk, for reasons that were unclear to me, and it has not worked properly since. Sadly, I am not able to recommend Packhorse. They offered me money to remove my honest review. Please sort the reviews and read the numerous damage complaints before booking. After sharing my experience with the company no one responded for 4 weeks, but right after posting this review a general manager called to offer "a little refund" in exchange for deleting my honest feedback: From clogging my toilet to damaging multiple furnitures, this was my worst nightmare. Two of the three crew members were also on phone calls for the most part of the move. The pleasant intake process and good reviews were misleading and did not represent the service provided. Movers at my condo unit caused a scratch on a new hardwood floor about 4 ft long. Rock salt and boot prints as well were tracked in. Front doorframe damaged. Property gets banged up and damaged all because of a move? I will take photos and see what can be done. read more

I found these guys on Thumbtack. I had a pretty light moving job, all things considered. It was January 1st and they were super busy since it rained the day prior and had to reschedule a bunch of clients for the 1st. My initial time frame was 1pm - 3pm but by 2:30pm I was alerted they'd service me by 5pm. I was initially a little irked because I was so stressed with the move but once the two guys showed up, they did everything very quickly and carefully. They were a pleasure to talk to and joke around with. Still professional, though. Ryan was very helpful throughout the entire process. OH - also SUPER affordable. Can't recommend these guys enough. Took a chance because of how new they are, but they clearly know what they're doing. They were on-time, professional, quick, and affordable. Got written estimate right away. They kept in great communication leading up to moving day. Friendly movers showed on time. They carefully packed the truck knowing all items were going to a storage unit. Did a masterful job stacking items in unit. The estimated hours was 100% on target. The actual movers were good, but the scheduling was terrible. A simple 1 item 1 way move went from "this afternoon" to 7:00pm while I was sitting in a totally empty apartment running my phone battery down. He offered to schedule with us the following day but we had a tight schedule and I felt nervous to trust he would follow through. I hate moving but they made it a little bit easier. They were very helpful. I do suggest that everything gets labeled completely by the client before the movers show up. We have a loft in our house and would have liked more things to have been put in the loft. I did label but some didn't make it up to the loft. It was a long day so I get it.
