Used EverSafe again. This time to load a POD for a move to Florida. Joe lead the team of 2 & they did Amazing!!! They completed the job an hour or so earlier than anticipated saving us money without cutting any corners. They couldn't have been more helpful. I could not believe everything they fit in our POD! Fast forward to having the POD hauled out of our driveway - it was hectic to say the least & the POD was rocking & moving at a million different angles thanks to the truck getting stuck in the mud. Why would you consider any other moving company for packing/moving when EverSafe has the whole package!!! Their customer service, accurate quotes (an interesting process but so on target with the results), packing - so careful that they blanket and shrink wrap each piece of furniture and box dishes, etc. so that absolutely nothing breaks. Their workforce is courteous, punctual and have a total "can do" attitude. I have used other movers. Can't say enough about EverSafe who exceeded my expectations. Joe and Chris came at the appointed hour to empty my third floor student rental space. I had put stickers on everything that was to go, so it was pretty clear. The fly in the ointment of this move was that one of my cats decided that he WOULD NOT be put put in the cage, so he hid. I simply could not find him., So I closed all the doors from which he might emerge, and alerted Joe and Chris, who were very careful to police the various doors from living room to porch to outside. Their packing was speedy, their attention to my newly painted stairwell walls was exquisite. They brought all the boxes down to the porch (keeping the door from living room to porch closed, and stowed everything in the truck. I can say without a doubt, I've never had a better experience than I had with Eversafe. These guys were on time (early even), professional, cool to talk to and they know what they're doing. They individually double wrapped anything that looked to have any value at all. First time ever that I had a move take place without a scratch on my tv. They carefully disassembled and wrapped all furniture and then professionally reassembled at the destination. Moving out of my condo in the city of Philly, from the third floor with a tiny stairwell, in 90 degree weather with 70%+ humidity, sounds like hell. These are the BEST Movers in Philly. Joe and Alex packed everything for me on Monday, loaded the truck on Tuesday and drove to Western PA and delivered everything on Wednesday morning. Everything was in PERFECT condition. They placed all my furniture exactly where I wanted it and arranged the boxes in each room so that I would not trip over them. I used them last year when I moved from Philadelphia and after a not so great packing and moving experience in Dallas, I found myself thinking about how great they were and realized I never dropped a review. I can't thank them enough for squeezing me in when I realized I would need help packing for my cross country move. I appreciated it also because most companies will not pack without moving you, due to liability reasons, and it already was a struggle to even find long distance movers during COVID. They arrived early, were efficient, asked me frequently if I was ok with how certain things were packed, and careful. From phone contact with Jay and Rob, to the actual move by 3 of the hardest working young men I've seen lately - Tim, Joe, and Chris - this move was much easier than I'd anticipated. Despite paring down and giving away much of our old furniture, after 36 years in the same home we still had a lot of stuff. Jay and Rob were very professional and pleasant on the phone. Tim, Joe and Chris were on time, we walked each room so they knew exactly what they were taking and what we were taking independently, they started wrapping, carrying, and loading quickly and efficiently. The move was only about 5 miles; they left our old home as soon as they were done, knowing we'd be about 10 minutes behind them. As soon as we got to new home, they started off-loading and had everything in the house really quickly. There was a contractor still doing some work in the house and he had equipment in some rooms, which made for a bit of an adventure getting boxes placed, but the crew dealt with that hiccup very well. I'm still unpacking (as I said - a lot of stuff) but nothing was damaged, they were done on time, we didn't exceed the quote, and I am very satisfied. I've already recommended your company to two families who are planning moves in the next year. It was a pleasure dealing with a business who lived up to their promises. UPDATE: The company followed up on my initial 3-star review. We talked on the phone and discussed all the matters. It's a pleasure to know a company that cares about customers' experience. They provided a partial refund due to the extra expenses I had in renting a separate truck to finish the move. Overall, EverSafe is a small but super-dedicated company. To add some of the positive experience of the move (which I glossed over in my original review): * They did not damage any item or any walls in both houses. * I called 2-3 times before the move asking spicy questions on damage responsibility, etc. Each time that took the time and explained everything (full responsibility on damage to the house). * The movers delivered everything in the rooms we had marked boxes for. * They showed on time, with a very good moving truck. * They were nice guys and asked if everything was going well several times. The incidents below can be easily fixed now that I know the owner cares (he even searched for a truck door monitor to place in the cabin to avoid future incidents). Would still use this company in the future. Just... you know, keep an eye on the move and the work the guys do because after all moving is never a magic process that can happen without supervision. ------------------------------ ORIGINAL POST I moved an ~1000 sqft house, rather small. The move went overall ok, they showed on time, and the truck was very good and versatile for moving. Three guys were enough. Two major incidents happened. 1. Eversafe asked for a list of things to move before the date, which I gave. I managed to move myself some of the delicate stuff, and threw away two beds which were on the list. Part of the items on the list did not have to move anymore. But I had few other items from the shed outside which could perfectly replace the listed items. I even showed the entire house before the move. They loaded the truck in just a couple of hours and then refused to take the items from the shed outside, with the pretense that the items were not on the list. Trying to convince the group leader did not work. As a result, EverSafe did not move my entire house. I had to rent a separate pick up truck and move the rest of the things myself with a single ride (you can imagine there weren't a lot of things left there). And guess what, EverSafe finished the move earlier than quoted (in just about 4 hours). The guys seemed to want to finish quickly, at the cost of leaving the customer with an incomplete move. 2. I decided to follow their truck between the two houses (15 minutes drive). Lucky me, as I saw the backdoor of the moving truck opening and flying around while the truck was riding in major roads. They endangered people, cars, and risked to lose the cargo on the street. I honked like crazy to make them stop and close the truck door. If I wasn't there, my belongings would have fallen from the truck. I expected some sincere apologies when we arrived at the new place, and their leader simply seemed to not care that the truck door. At first he did not say anything. When I asked him what went on, he simply said to me "Ah, I thought I locked it", and that's it. Giving them 3 stars for the benefit of the doubt, but I think they might deserve only 2. It was an acceptable experience that ended well with some extra cost and headaches on my side, but the EverSafe crew was not that different from other moving companies after all. They do not seem to care about the customer. Just get the money, finish quickly, and who cares. read more

Safe Guard made an otherwise annoying experience much less better - I hate moving, it usually sucks but they definitely helped. We used them to move from the City to the suburbs. Booking was pretty smooth. Move day was fine, came in time, moved what needed moving and were prompt about it. None of the movers had any BO which I really appreciated. I am a big fan of deodorant users. Everything arrived in the same number of pieces as it left our old place. No scuffs or marks anywhere no sticker shock at the end of the move. I had a very similar experience to Betty K, who posted on 6/22/14. Very nice fellow (Angelo) contacted me back, but asked for information I had already placed in the email to Eversafe. That was a little frustrating. I asked for references, too, as they indicate you can request the most recent from them, with no "cherry picking". Never got them from Eversafe. Also, the round trip from their office to our apartment, to our new house, and then back to their office was well under 45 minutes. But I got a transportation fee estimate of 290 dollars. Unless your insurance is astronomical, I cannot see how they calculated this fee for such a short trip. When I contacted Angelo to ask for a more detailed explanation (after pointing out how close all three locations were to each other), I never heard back from him. Went with another mover that was cheaper and upfront about costs (and actually got back to me). Sorry guys, but you need to communicate with your prospective customers better! I was having a hard time finding a moving company that would answer my phone calls, let alone give me a reasonably detailed quote. In fact 2 other moving companies I found were downright rude to me. One of them sounded like - I kid you not - a Russian mafioso that really didn't want to deal with the hassle of moving my "small townhouse". Then I found Eversafe via a Google search, and I am SO glad I did. The agent (I forgot his name) on the phone was detail-oriented (I guess they use a software program for their estimations). He was clear, forthcoming, and followed up via email. He promised that they bill based on the in/out time, and they don't round-up. I was skeptical at first, but there was something about his candidness and transparency that appealed to me. He called me again the day before, to confirm the move across town (1 hour drive). On the day of the move, the moving guys (Derek, Justin, and Jon) arrived almost 20 minutes early. They were fairly low-key and professional (as much as muscular, sports-loving, strapping young men can be, at any rate). They wrapped/padded and loaded my property up with the necessary TLC to ensure that nothing would break. They drove off in the big-ass truck and arrived at the destination *LESS THAN 5 MINUTES* AFTER ME! Let that sink in for a minute, folks. After all, we're talking about a moving company, here. Without further ado, they checked out the house layout, then proceeded to offload our property with efficiency and care. Even though my wife and I sometimes accidentally misdirected them on item placement, they accepted the changes graciously and with ZERO GRUMBLING (at least within our earshot, hahah). At the end, they marked time accurately, and invoiced me for a cost that was slightly lower than the original estimate. I gave them the maximum recommended tip, and they seemed really grateful. But later on my wife was like, you shoulda given a little more, because they were so hardworking and accommodating. In summary: EverSafe's agent AND their moving guys communicated honestly, fully and professionally... moved my belongings swiftly, were hardworking, and kept their promises. This is literally the most non-BS experience I've ever had with a moving company. Hopefully they keep up the good work, keep hiring good movers, and their positive reputation spreads. When I move again (because unfortunately I am in a rental), I will definitely call EverSafe, and ask for Derek, Justin, and Jon if they are still available. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY DURING THE PANDEMIC! Our movers showed up without masks. When we asked them if they had masks, they said no, and the guy in charge just kept saying that it is was too hot out to wear masks. I understand that wearing masks in heat can be uncomfortable but for obvious reasons, we wanted them to wear masks. We didn't know what to do as they HAD NO MASKS WITH THEM so we let them move us out of the old location and we waited outside while they loaded the truck. When they were ready to go to the new house, we again asked them to please use masks. The person in charge argued with us and said that they didn't have any. It was almost as if they were unaware that we were in the middle of a global pandemic... We ultimately had them pick up masks on the way to the new house, which they agreed to wear. The guy in charge became noticeably more unfriendly to us after the 3rd time we had to ask him to wear a mask. We should have only had to ask once.. I am very confused as to how this company's policy does not require masks as IT IS REQUIRED BY THE STATE. If they do require masks, this group of movers purposely ignored that directive and I hope that the company acts to prevent this from happening again. This was the 3rd time we used Eversafe. They are getting a 4 just because they did have some difficulty moving our furniture. We hired them to move our couches and treadmil. They had some difficulty getting item out of our apartment and did leave a few marks/ scuff on the walls. The were able to move everything into our house with some ease. Though again they did have some trouble getting the tredmil in. My husband and I did have to help them get it fully settled. Eventually the dust settled and everything made it here safe and sound.. We just finished an enormous move (26' and 16' trucks plus a U-Haul cargo van) from our home of 17 years on the Main Line to Passyunk Square. After a couple revisions due to increasing numbers of boxes (we have loads of books) which we eventually exceeded yet again, the move went off without a hitch. The team showed up exactly on time and cleaned out our old place amazingly quickly. Next day we met up in the city and once again - on time, lightning quick; so quick in fact that they beat the time estimate and a (small) refund is on the way. Called on Tuesday for a Friday move and I am so glad they had a cancellation and were able to fit us in. Estimate and booking process was quick and straight forward with no unknown or hidden charges. The estimate was significantly less than their competitors. No deposit required and they called to confirm the day before. The movers were running about 10 minutes late but called as soon as they were on the road with their estimated eta (ended up being less than 10 mins) They came in, had us sign paperwork and got right to work. They wasted no time. We were moved out of a basement apartment to a 2nd floor apartment with annoying stairs quickly and way under the estimated time. Everything was carefully wrapped, moved and set up. They even rearranged my bedroom furniture as I was being indecisive about which way I wanted the room set up. I almost did this move myself but so glad I found EverSafe. Highly recommend for anyone moving in the Philly area. Excellent, professional movers. Booked a huge move at the last minute and they were extremely accommodating. The only problem I had was minor damage caused to an admittedly VERY heavy and cumbersome piece of furniture. To be honest, lifting that thing is so inconceivable to me that a little damage seemed inevitable. However, they could have avoided it by covering up the piece more thoroughly. I never hired a professional moving company before, but decided to for my most recent move. I was recommended to Eversafe and decided to hire them after speaking with Rob. He explained the moving process in detail and sent a quote breaking down the total which explained every charge. He also helped me to plan out the move a little better than what I originally thought it would be like. I had Derek, Chris, Paul, and Jay as our movers and could not have been happier. They were early, extremely professional, courteous, and also helpful. They helped move some items that were not in their truck, and let us use their hand cart for some heavy items. They got right to work and got the job done in less time than what was estimated, which resulted in the bill being considerably cheaper than what I thought it would be. They moved furniture out of a town home which had narrow stairs and corners, and did not hit one wall or door frame, and the same for the new home they moved everything into. All of the items were wrapped with blankets and plastic wrapped for protection. My aunt and mother in law were both there during the move and both keep commenting on how great the movers were all day.
