I came away very frustrated with the management and customer service of Aston Self Storage. When I…read moremoved in, the closest door to my unit was broken, and I also spent a half hour waiting for them to fix the access gate. When I needed to vacate, I told them on the 22nd of the month that I would be vacating on the 5th of the next month. They were unwilling to even consider allowing me to pay for a partial month. When I coordinated to move out by the end of the month, I was told that I was too late, and that I would still have to pay for the following month even though the unit would be completely vacant. Candidly, they were frustrating and unhelpful, and were not willing to even consider meeting me halfway. I would not recommend them to anyone.

You'll drive by, wonder where it was, look all around, turn around and come back only to see how obvious it was and smack yourself. It's not just me. Other people have done this as well. So watch out right as you're passing what looks like an interstate on/off ramp. It's right there! Other than that, there's not much to say about the place. It's U-Haul.

In Chester?…read moreI made the reservation online through Uhaul.com, someone called me back within hours from the actual location to verify the order and the truck size etc... super friendly and helpful. When I arrived, a couple were complaining because the truck they had reserved wasnt there (word to the wise, no matter what the uhaul website says, always call the location directly and verify - learned while standing in line at uhaul)... While I was standing in line my house that i was moving into fell through and I had to not only get a truck, but also a storage place. It was hot, people were complaining, I just lost my house and was on the brink of tears... And the uhaul folks were no nice, so professional, so helpful. Also, the grounds are clean, the trucks are good, etc...

TOTAL SCAM!!! Rented a unit in March 2023 and in May they notified me that they were doubling the…read moreprice on my unit. DOUBLE!!! I get that the rates can increase but to raise it so quickly by so much is ridiculous! I've rented units at competitors long term and never had the price increase more than $10. The units are dirty and full of bugs and they get water in them. Found a better deal at a nicer location with a competitor. I will NEVER rent from these scammers again! $200 a month for a non temp controlled 5x10 unit is insane! And after reading other reviews, it appears that if you live out of state, they will take advantage of you. I moved to Ohio and needed the unit to store things until I could come back to collect the rest. These scammers seem to prey on out of state renters. BEWARE!!!!
