Have received random charges to my credit card , which I have had to dispute. Older gentleman Bruce has been extraordinarily rude and tried "Shooing" me, a paying customer away when I came to their office with a complaint. When you charge a premium price, customers expect to receive a no-frills premium service. You will not get a premium service here, and you'll likely have the same subpar experience that I did.

It only took me 22 days and 22 nights in hotels.... Yup, okay so right as I'm feeling my final organ trying to fail and my 96 pound body pounding in hypertension, I've got to figure out where to unload an entire Penske alone late night asap... I get on Yelp! and search for anything near the Penske drop off site, I see this place, I see I can DIAL THE ENTIRE MOVE IN PROCESS ONLINE IN LIKE 5 MINUTES?! What???? From a gas station nearby on my phone? Okay, and the price? I thought it was a scam at first. It didn't seem normal. It was real. I emailed the manager as I was arriving just as the gate access would be closing for the night. They get back to me with solutions. I show up, and I punch in my code and the gate just flies up high in the sky like some futuristic creation I've not yet experienced, there were lots of carts that worked and worked great, the lights turn on, doors automatically opening and closing, I emptied that truck and I got everything in that perfectly cleaned and equipped with a welcome bag and lock and boom I drove out.... After using their clean bathroom. My dog loved the grass too. I survived the night and collapsed in a bed at some Mendenhall Inn at 7am, and my (disabled) service scent trained doggie and I just slept there for 3 nights to decompress, and I had I not had this easy accommodating last second storage unit experience exactly like this? This property manager hould have made it clear when we got the unit that they do not have a dumpster for tenants that have purchased units there. By the time that I was able to close out my unit in 2020, that monthly rent had increased to $101. I had tried calling periodically to negotiate a more reasonable rate, but was repeatedly told there was nothing that they could do - that the increase was wholly due to market rates rising. Family circumstances had demanded that I move suddenly from Pennsylvania to California and then work and family obligations prevented me from emptying my storage unit or changing its location until now. Had I been local, I would likely have tried to find a more reasonable unit. All of that being said, their digital contracts made navigating the enrollment swift and relatively painless and Bill, in particular, was very helpful in coordinating the move out with the moving service that I hired, despite the challenges posed by COVID-19. The key to my unit got lost over the years and so I also needed to provide authorization for them to cut the lock to the unit. He helped with all of this and I'm most grateful. I know that pricing is often controlled by corporate, but I also know that companies with stronger commitments to customer service tend to do a better job of empowering their managers and staff to work with customers.

They raised prices well over 10% after only 3 months of being there and my initial rate was not promotional. It was a classic bate and switch and it's too bad corporate greed undermines the great work and community building of the local staff people.
