One mover was smoking weed, not packing furniture right, leaving pieces left and right. The movers lost all the hardware for my bed frame and I was left with a pile of useless junk. They dented the walls, ceilings, scratched the hardwood floors, and ruined everything single piece of furniture. They also sat around for an extra 2.5 hours after the move was over so that they could charge for overtime. The movers told me that I could just file a claim for the damages and I would get reimbursed. After their 90 day wait period for claims turn around, I was denied of everything. Their quote is also a complete lie. There were multiple fees that were left out of the initial quote, making their final charge 3x more than what I was quoted. Do yourself a favor and go with another company. Edit: The company owner's pitiful response to this post is their way of pretending they care about customer service. That is why I wouldn't trust anything he says! BEWARE! No matter what is said get exact price written down, what is exactly is included, watch how they wrap everything and fragile items you should take yourself and be wary if they say boxes are included! I originally thought it went well till I started to unpack. Now first off I had an estimate including them to unpack but they misjudged the amount of work that was required. So it ended costing me triple the price and they didn't have the time to unpack. They also only marked half the boxes with what was in them making it very frustrating for me to know what was worth to unpack immediately. Upon moving the boxes that they piled up triple high and very heavy caused the move to be extremely difficult since we are in our 70's. Upon opening the boxes the items were wrapped and re-wrapped with so much clear plastic that we spent hours cutting through to get to the items. They did this to many things that were non breakable pieces like boxes of cereal but a vase from Greece was wrapped in paper and was broken in pieces. A cup from Russia also broken was thrown in with the vase and a piece of paper place between them no wrap on the cup. My small 2 drawer file desk was emptied in a box mixing paper clips, rubber bands, pens, markers, and everything else that was in jars. All our items with cords instead of keeping them together they were all thrown in different boxes and still have not found them. We have a very heavy sewing table with machine needed taken up to the walk up attic(our second floor) it is still sitting in the garage and now we have to hire someone else to take care of it otherwise we can not park in the garage. DO NOT HIRE THEM! THEY Will PROMISE TO DO THINGS; BUT BEWARE!! ALSO I WAS CHARGED FOR EXTRA MATERIAL; THEY USED SO MUCH MORE THAN NEEDED!!

With my first move in 2020, there was a bit of a scheduling issue, causing the movers to arrive later than originally scheduled and with a van rather than a truck (I had been told that it would be a truck in order to fit all of my belongings into one trip). Therefore, it ended up taking two trips. However, the owner made things right by only charging me the original rate for one trip. Mistakes happen and I'm fine with it, as long as the company owns up to it and makes it right. And there were no similar issues with my second move in 2026. The guys had furniture wrap and blankets to protect my belongings. During both moves, I did not find anything that was damaged at all. What more can you ask for!? I highly recommend Man With a Van! In fact, I'm likely going to use them again soon to help with some items that I will need to move into storage.

Man With A Van gave my friend two quotes: a cheaper quote for Two Guys with a Van and a more expensive quote for Three Guys with a Truck. My friend sent the more expensive rate for Three Guys with a Truck. But then this dispatcher tried the blame game of "You didn't specify Truck" when to our surprise only Two Guys and a Van showed up. Lemme ask you a question. If I offer you a hotdog for $3 and a burger for $4, and you hand me 4 dollars, wouldn't anyone with a working brainstem assume that meant YOU WANTED THE BURGER? But my friend was sweet and offered: "Maybe y'all can come back tomorrow with three guys and a truck, because it's really a three person job", to which the movers declined. After a quick call, the dispatcher said there'd be no additional charge for extra trips due to the smaller vehicle. What's more is that one of the two Movers had a bad back and couldn't take the stairs like the other dude. So at some points the job is only getting done by one dude (you could argue one-and-a-half dudes). If THREE guys should be able to make the move of loading and unloading in TWO hours, then HALF that much manpower means... you guessed it: it's gonna take at least twice as long! Not to mention they spent extra time stacking things like Jenga inside the van to make it all fit in one trip. Because the job (that my friend agreed to pay $500 for three guys and a truck) took so much longer with one and a half guys and a van, Paul upcharges an extra $300!! Again, my friend is nice, and they're trying to hash this out cause they didn't get what they paid for, regardless of it it took more time. (And again, of course less manpower means more time). But instead of having a conversation with my friend, Paul starts SCREAMING at them, cursing at them, saying "You're Full Of Sh*t!" and threatening legal action immediately! My friend is begging through tears that they want to make this right; begging him to STOP yelling and panicking them. The mover's felt so bad and embarrassed overhearing Paul act like a jack*ss on the phone that one even offered to pay the remainder, but my friend, still shook up and in tears, said that they wanted to make this right and moved what little money they have around to pay as much as they could. We're ALL struggling out here, and the movers def deserve to get paid. I'm sure the dude with the hurt back needs more money and easier hours, but the company is working him to the bone. But to have this dude Paul berate and coerce my friend, spitting venom over the phone? Shouting until my friend is begging in tears for him to stop? I'm never gonna forget that.
