Well I knew it was too good to be true. I've been to this place 4xs now and each time got progressively worse. The first two times food and service was great. The 3rd time food was so mediocre and service was blah. This last time I didn't even stay bc I had to serve myself if I sat outside, ok no problem, everything I wanted to order was no longer available. This time around the tables were all a mess and not cleared, probably why everyone was sitting inside. I really wanted this to be my go to spot, but once again another overpriced mediocre Seattle restaurant. read more

I walk by pier 70 a lot and saw it had changed to Pub70! When I went in the other day it was great! Their Bloody Mary is tasty and spiced well. The portions are generous. I had never had Fried shishito peppers before. Theirs are so good! I also the Fried chicken and waffles was great! I love that the waffles are gourmet normal waffles and not super super dense Belgian waffles. The ratio chicken to waffle is great! Regular well drinks are reasonably priced as well! I was hopeful this could be a nice little gem, but I was left disappointed. My two gripes: 1. The INSANE amount of grease they use! The burger I had and the crispy chicken sandwich my spouse had, along with the garlic fries could have been pretty decent if it weren't for the ridiculous amount of oil used! I expect burgers and fries to be greasy, sure, but they took it to a whole new level. I immediately knew I was going to end up with a stomach ache just from the amount of oil all over the plate. I couldn't even bring myself to finish my burger (and I'm known to finish mine before my husband!) 2. The price. Now I guess rent is probably pretty high being on the pier, and I enjoyed sitting outside so I'm willing to pay a bit more for that. But $54 for two greasy burgers and fries, and one beer during happy hour? More expensive than I was expecting. I like to splurge, but I would not spend that amount there again - especially when it was greasy to the point of neither of us finishing our meals. I stopped by for a drink with family while we headed from Pike Place to the sculpture garden. We didn't have any food, but I'm comfortable with a five-star review primarily based on Mia's customer service skills. I decided to be adventurous and try the CBD tea for my drink. I did not know at the time it was canned and carbonated, I assumed it was some sort of mixed non-alcoholic drink like some others on the menu. Mia stopped by and could sense my dissatisfaction despite my "Yeah, it's good" response and brought me another drink which was exceptional. If I find myself in Seattle again, I will certainly stop by for a full meal because the level of service rose well-above what I expect from anywhere. read more

This place is AMAZING. Highly recommended. The best chicken sandwich I have ever had . Garlic fries hand cut, with rich butter and fresh garlic. Drink selection is awesome . Prices reasonable, and my favorite part , the customer service.. Zoe made our night. She allowed us to sit inside and order drinks till a table outside was ready . She kept track of us all night . Also highly recommend the bread pudding with salted Carmel ice cream . My hubby had the Reuben sandwich . The sauce is so good . Big chunks of corn beef . Handsome bartender with the curly hair greeted us and made us feel so welcomed. He was very knowledgeable about craft cocktails and pointed us in the right direction to get food after their kitchen had already closed for the evening. One of my favorite places to eat downtown. The Brussel sprouts are to die for! The tacos are amazing, pretty much anything I have had has been wonderful. Ok full disclosure: I went to Pier 70 because I'm in town for one day and as a Xennial, the sight where Steven slapped Irene on the Real World was a priority tourist spot. I happened to be starving, so I decided to eat at Pub 70. The service was excellent, the birria tacos were *outrageous*, and the margarita was perfect. We were cruising down the street looking for food at a pier for our short visit downtown. Pub 70 came up as dog friendly with outdoor seating so we figured it was perfect. We are so glad we chose it, because we had incredible service and even better food. Our server was knowledgeable and laid back, and recommended several drink and food combinations we are delighted we took him up on. The Birria tacos were incredible, to say the least. Fresh onion and cilantro, and taco shells fried up to a perfect crisp with the cheese and pork juicy before you even dip it. The roasted brussel sprouts will seriously make you reconsider brussel sprouts as a whole if you grew up not liking them. We also had the mac and cheese which was served hot and melty with a great crumbly topping. The only downside to the whole meal was that I only thought to take a photo of the spicy Bloody Mary one of us ordered. It was a flavor profile I hadn't ever tried in a Bloody Mary and one that I already know I will want in my next one! Too bad we are about a six hour plane ride from these guys. This place deserves six stars! Please order the Portabella mushroom fries and the pork belly. Both are the best we've ever had. This place opened in the pandemic and is trying to make a name for themself and as soon as the word gets out this place will be packed! Had a glass of water with purple hair in it, and repeatedly told the waiter but each time he ignored us and kept taking longer to give service. Finally when he did bring the new glass, he slammed it on the table. Didn't say anything and walked away. But honestly I wouldn't have cared about the hair if he would have taken care of it by getting me a new glass of water, after he slammed it down i didnt trust the water he brand out. I remembered this warm and inviting place from my trip to Seattle in the Before Times. Back the. It was called Paddy Coins Irish Pub. It's at Pier 69 with a delightful outside patio overlooking the water. Rebranded and under the watchful hustle of Kat, this joint is the perfect place to day drink and indulge in comfort food. The halibut fish and chips was divine. The beers were ice cold and free flowing and the sun shined down whilst the refreshing breeze came off the water below. The surprise? The kale salad. Who knew kale was edible let alone delicious? Overall, spectacular way to spend an afternoon catching up. Further proof that a rose by any other name is still as sweet. read more

Finally a feel good restaurant. Went for a walk on the Seattle waterfront and found this Gem. Ended up eating there 3 x in two weeks. Great chowder,Great Black and blue steak Salad and cold beer or hot coffee. Dog menus and out door seating for furry companions. Big beams a fireplace and lots of room for distancing. We went to several places while in Seattle, but after we found this place we never bothered going anywhere else. We tried so many things off their menu over a few days and EVERYTHING is SO good! The Birria tacos are a must-try. Tyler the bartender tells the best stories and keeps you captivated. The whole vibe is just so cool. All the staff are super friendly and fast, and the local regulars are fun to talk to. If you're ever in Seattle, I highly recommend Pub 70. Located on Pier 70, it's walking distance from the Space Needle and Chihuly Gardens. My husband and I tried the Pub 70 Reuben, clam chowder, garlic Manila clams, and birria tacos. Everything we tried was so tasty! My favorite was the birria tacos. Omg. Soooooo good! Chef Randal is the best! He's super friendly and very kind. Trust me, you can't go wrong with anything you order if it's made by Chef Randal. The drinks were really good too! I had the Paris 1919 and a margarita. My husband had the Cloud Cover and the mule. Service was quick and our bartender was really attentive. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. We asked for recommendations on places to visit while we're in the area, and they were so helpful! I am SO happy to welcome Pub 70 to our neighborhood, as regular Guinness drinkers at Paddy Coyne's, we were sad to hear they would be closing but now are THRILLED to see Pub 70 bring the same pub vibe, with an updated and upgraded menu! I now look forward to eating at the Pub. Chef Randall really is doing something special, the highlight of this weekend was the chicken sandwich, and last weekend I got to try a cookie they were preparing for a ice cream sandwich! The next time I would like to try the Black and Bleu salad. Food and drink aside, the staff makes us feel like family and that is so important these days and the view is incredible. Open during Covid, former Paddy Coins location. Nice upgrade, to the Irish pub style offering now with a bit more local food and drink selection. Nice addition to the neighborhood. Had the Reuben sandwich and an Obsidian Stout (OR). Reuben was a tasty medium thickness corned beef on a light rye. Behaved dog friendly, indoor and outdoor seating. Prices are not cheap but fair for the ingredients and finished product. Tables could use a little sanding and a few coats of varnish but they get a "pass" during these times. read more

The place has a beautiful location, on water, but the meal I got was terrible. I got fish and chips and the fish was rubbery and pretty much inedible. Not sure if it was undercooked or what. My welcome was Luke warm at the bar. My bartender was Tyler M. He fancies himself a singer and it seems he might be dating one of the chef's because he got a little pissed when I critiqued the food. I had the chicken and waffles. It was good when I added salt. The chicken was in a bed of lettuce which made no sense to me. Putting hot chicken in the lettuce just wilted it. I try to offer constructive feedback when I'm dining but, apparently Tyler didn't like my wording. I hope in the future pub 70 will try to listen to their guests rather than get offended when we try to help. read more

The food was very good but they are clearly understaffed. We had a group of 4, the staff was very pleasant but we were skipped in the seating order by a couple. No fault of the staffed based on how many servers there were at the time. No hostess and I think the bartender may have had to be a server as well. Tried the large Caesar salad, burger with fries, and burger with onion rings. It was very busy on this warm Sunday afternoon and you could tell the servers were all working hard. Food was very good - loved the crispy fries. If we had room for dessert, the chocolate chip cookie sandwiches we saw at another table looked delicious. A recommendation for improvement would be to have better organization when it comes to seating guests at the tables. Other than that, we look forward to coming back again in the future! read more
