So my coworker & I been hopping around in Newark to find a go too spot for our self-care days. Can't help, but been returning to this cute little salon. Maybe also the fact it is most convenient location near my job. They take walk-in's. I was able to get serviced right away without any wait time for the last several visits. Had I waited maybe 5 more minutes, could have been different. Most of the technicians are nice. However, the owner was the most gentle. Very satisfying to see my cuticles removed and was ocd with keeping my nail bed clean and filing all my tips to be unison. He was quick, but thorough. So far so good. None of my gel mani has ever lifted and lasts me a good month before getting them done again.

She didn't even let my feet soak for more than a few minutes, didn't ask me what shape I wanted my nails in or if I wanted them cut, she barely filed them, it was a mad rush. They even rushed me to pick a color. It was so bizarre! The woman who was at the door was snippy, pushy and even tried to tell me what color to get-unbelievable! Terrible Presentation: When I walked to the back where the pedicure chairs are, I immediately saw junk on the floor, boxes-some opened, some unopened. And boy was I sorry when I had to use the bathroom which they also use as a storage closet-it had more dusty boxes, junk, vacuum cleaners, etc. I'm sorry that I spent any of what was supposed to be a relaxing afternoon in this place. My normal spot is closed on Sundays ( I didn't know I usually go during the week). So I read some reviews and by the time I was on my 4th salon, I finally found one that was open. I called soon after they opened, told them I needed a mani, pedi- for my wedding. Told the guy working on my pedicure a few times it was for my wedding. Let's start with the good. They have TONS of colors. Although not all of the colors are sampled.. so you really have to go with the color on the bottle and hope that's the actual color you want. Also I was offered a drink (water, soda, or wine) I choose wine, which was a sweet white. Now for the bad. My appointment started about 15 mins late, slightly annoying but not that big of a deal. The water started an ok temperature but I was left sitting for so long it was cold by the time my pedicure got started. Then the guy literally scrubbed my skin right off.. on the side of my foot where I don't have ANYtype of callus (see picture) he also did that to the bottle of one of my toes. Then there is a toe that isn't glossy and looks faded. So we move up to get my nails done. I really wish I had a picture of what he originally did. I showed him a picture and said I wanted my nails to look exactly like the picture. Size, shape, color.. everything. So he starts to shape my nails.. now mind you I have very short natural nails.. and none are really the same length. So he's shaping them and I remind him that I want them to look just like the picture. The length too. Then he said "oh that needs tip" I said that's fine. Then he got up walked to another nail tech and then they both turn to me. The other ones waves me over.. so I get up and go to his station. I show him my picture and he says " oh I thought you wanted a manicure". I said I guess I didn't know what it was called but that I wanted my nails to look just like the picture. Then he did my nails in like 15 mins. The sloppiest I've ever gotten them done. They are a consistent shape, they are alllll too long and much longer then the image and not the same color I showed- these have like a hot pink hue I wanted like a baby blue (see image) At this point I had been at the nail salon for over 2 hours and really wasn't happy with any of the work. Then I found out that my total was $150. Never got a breakdown. Oh and did I mention they also made me bleed in 3 places of my cuticles. I can't believe these will be the nails I have for my wedding. I can only hope I save someone else from spending their money here.

CathI, wh o is the nail tech, was there but didn't come out so the guy who sits next to her "fixed" my nail. not only was it the wrong color but it was streaky and lumpy. once he was done I left. The manager came running outside calling me, ma'am, ma'am, there's a fee for a repair. I asked how was I going to be charged for something that was clearly the techs fault. she's doing something wrong with her application or something. I've been growing my nails for 6 years and have never had these issues. she then informed me that they have policy that you have to get a fill every two weeks or they're not responsible. Who does that??? I've never gotten my nails done that frequently. Long story made short I was charged $12 for something that wasn't my fault and even the repair needs to be repaired. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!!! Not to mention that I hardly ever spend under $100 for my nails and I ALWAYS tip above and beyond! Customer service is key and once you loose that with me, you've lost me.... nice place but customer service overall has gone down the drain, unfortunately. We both got pedicures and I had a GEL polish change on my hands. The experience was more than horrible. I have attached photos from the experience for your review. PLEASE reconsider where you go as the photos speak for themselves. My niece was injured, resulting in a bloody foot and a band aid, as they destroyed her foot (seen in photo). My polish change ($40) for gel came off on the ride home. Not chipped the whole nail was bare and the polish was on the floorboard of my vehicle. I called and was informed I could come back in for repairs at no cost. I informed them I would just prefer the refund on the polish change, not the full bill, simply the polish change. I was informed they would Venmo me my refund, that was on Sunday. On Monday I still had no refund and reached back out to the salon. I was then informed to text photos to them and was provided an invalid phone number. I called back and got an email address. Again, I submitted photos via email with my concerns and request for refund. I did not receive any communication or refund until Tuesday, when I sent an email stating that due to the way it was handled, I would be posting this review. I received a text message within an hour saying that they have issued the refund. It took all of this back and forth, phone calls, emails, texts, etc. just to get a polish change refund, again not full refund. I checked my account and there is no refund to date. This was a horrible experience. I would HIGHLY recommend going to another salon if you are looking for somewhere new, as this is not the place!
