I walked in to get a refill and they were very welcoming when I first came in. The lady began to do my nails and was rushing, very aggressive and would get annoyed when I was a bit tense yet she was manhandling my hands. I asked for french, she did it good but progressively made the tip thicker and uneven. I told her I didn't like it and she told me "It was dry so it was too late". Had to go to a separate salon to get them repainted. Will not be going back. read more

HORRIBLE service. I got a pedicure here - the lady just cut and filed my toenails. Did not clean them. When i asked if she could clean around the nails she immediately got an attitude, started to be rough with my feet. Worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I've been here once before and decided to give them another chance today. Boy was I wrong. I asked them to take off my dip manicure (typically they wrap your nails in tinfoil similar to how they take off gel nails). To my surprise, the lady I had named Lily took out a box of acrylic nails and used one to pick off my dip polish which was painful and confusing as I have never had someone do that to me before. After she went on a long tangent about how I shouldn't get dip anymore and instead get acrylic gel which is $45. I told her I only wanted a regular manicure which I communicated multiple times and for some reason she started applying the acrylic gel. After my friend chimed in and told her to stop pushing it on me and that I only wanted regular polish Lily blamed her poor English on her misunderstanding and that I told her I wanted acrylic. She ended up painting my nails like how I originally wanted and did a completely horrible job. I showed the manger who was very kind and understanding that my nails did not look good. While this was happening she was screaming across the room in perfect English that she was proud of her work. I will never set foot in this salon ever again or recommend this place to anyone. What I experienced was completely unacceptable and a waste of my time. Don't waste yours here. read more

Thee ABSOLUTELY worst experience ever! They did our pedicures in all of 10 minutes. The whole service felt rushed. I am so upset with my experience here. I asked for a full set and for some reason was charged $45 when a full set is posted as $28 on their wall. I asked for a different shape then shown in the picture. There is glue and other debris stuck to my hands. Overall poor quality and the experience felt very rushed. I happened to be in Delaware and needed my nails done, so I stopped pass this nail salon. At first, I was disappointed because they did not offer Dip Power, so I had to get a Gel Manicure. The guy that did my nails was very friendly, and did a good job on my nails. Matter of fact, everyone seemed friendly. If I am in a pinch; and in the area, I would come back. One more thing, they did not offer paraffin wax. I love that treatment after a manicure. read more

This was the worst manicure and service I have ever received in my life! I have never received such a rushed, effortless, careless manicure. I came here on a whim because my nail salon was closed! Biggest mistake I could have ever made! My cuticles were not cut. The nail was filed unevenly and not shaped. Some nails are longer than others. I have dents in the gel polish. My manicure took less than 15 minutes and it shows. You could tell the the woman (Samira) was in a rush because she had to pick her daughter up from day care. If that's the case please hand me off to another nail technician. I don't appreciate having my time wasted and my service compromised. I have never been so dissatisfied in my life. I work hard for my money and have a family to attend to. I get my nails done every two weeks. It's the one afternoon in 14 days I have to take an hour/ and a half to treat myself and relax. It's $55.00 and time I will never get back. I will never come back to nd salon again. I rather paint my own nails. I'd do a better job! read more

Horrendously Unsanitary. Went to get a pedi, was directs to sit and wait for another client to get completed. The lady next to me finished her client, cleaned 2 bowls, picked up towels to chuck in the laundry and approached me to do my pedi all WITHOUT CHANGING HER GLOVES. Luckily I have quick reflexes and moved my tootsies before she could make contact. When asked to wash her hands and change gloves she proceeded to get pissy and yell at me. Another lady (who I assume is the owner) gestured to me and I guess told him to work on me next. He does the exact same thing. Finished then client, cleaned the foot bowl, got the towels, grabbed fresh towels and tools them just sat down in front of me like I wasn't going to say a word. Gets angry when I politely ask if he could wash his hands and change gloves for my sanity's sake he got an attitude & refused service!! The owner does does jack squat to rectify the unsanitary actions of these folks and just offers a fake apology when all I asked for is basic safety and sanitation practices. Flying out tomorrow so now I'm scrambling to find a place to get my nails done at 4pm. Going to be calling the nail board and health department because this is beyond ridiculous to say the least! read more

Worst manicure I ever received. I had been here before to full in my acrylics but never for a full set before this weekend. The woman cut my tips so short they were shorter than my nails were originally and wider than they were long. The polish was all over my nails and it was just horrible. I explained to the manager that I was unsatisfied and he caused a scene yelling at the woman who did my nails to redo it. I honestly expected a more calm situation and a different nail technician, but the same woman redid them. The entire time she was yelling at me how I'm making her lose business for having to redo my nails, and she even did these poorly. They are uneven and she went over them with the little scratchy machine right before she put the polish on so they look zebra striped. I will never recommend this place to anyone, absolute worst service, and product. Cheap but it shows. read more

This place is disgusting. Went in for a pedicure, put my feet into the tub, and saw a massive toe nail floating around in the water. They didn't believe me until I literally picked it up and flung it onto the ground. They didn't apologize or change my station. Never coming here again. read more

actually the worst nail salon I have ever been to :). Me and two of my friends went here one day, all for acrylics and they were HORRIBLE. First of all, every worker there was so rude and it made us so uncomfortable. The lady doing my nails kept yelling at me to keep my hands in the machine and to move faster. Futhermore, my friend and I both asked for SIMPLE designs and provided a picture and both "nail technicians" could not execute them; we had to tell them to remove the designs because it looked like a preschooler drew them. The place is also EXTREMELY overpriced!! Acrylics are $45 and if you want a coffin shape it is $5 extra! And on top of the price, four of my nails broke less than a week later. Not only was the service horrible, but our nails looked horrendous; they did not even fix our cuticles. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SAD!! read more

This salon has been in College Square for years. The spoiled rotten rich kid who did the other review has probably never worked a day in her life. These are hard working people who do a great job. I have never seen anything but a clean facility at NG. Something like a toenail in your pedicure water is upsetting to see, but in the scheme of things, this girl needs to see the other half of the world. read more

This salon is the best in Newark! I've been going here for over a year now, almost two, and I've never been disappointed. Went here twice for an acrylic fill and ended up with fungus under my nails that caused them to completely fall off. Do NOT go here.
