This review is of my own personal experience at this salon. First the pros, friendly, clean using fresh instruments and equipment/. However, after visiting there a few times, I had the most difficult experience during a pedicure. The tech cut my foot doing a callous removal. And, I am diabetic. This incident caused me to go to my podiatrist for treatment, pay for a antibiotic and bandage the area for the next week. It was superficial per the medical doc however, painful. It is most unfortunate, because they are pleasant enough, but, more careful attention to detail is needed. I will not be going back. read more

Basic pedi $37 (expensive considering she spent 20 minutes on me). Every service offered should be a quality. I honestly do better myself at home. She didn't fully scrub the calluses off my heels. On the plus side, the tech did attempt a quick shoulder rub while my nails dried. not sure if I will return. read more

Booked the appt day off. Perfectly accommodated and exactly what I wanted. She even adjusted my headphones when they fell off and gave a random and unexpectedly good 1-min massage when I was drying the last layer under the lamps. Vibe is calm and there's random stuff on tv but I like to listen to a podcast during the session. VERY GOOD PRICE for the quality. I think I paid 35$ for gel/matte finish plus tip. I've been charged 100 before for worse jobs. Very happy. Highly recommend! read more

I have been a few times and each time I have a different experience. The first time I did a walk in visit. I was seen immediately. The woman I had was a little rough. She did not put effort into the tips and you can really tell. The most recent time I went I made an appointment for 10, I was seen at 1030. They had a nice little waiting room and they offered me a cold water and the little treats on the coffee table. When I was seen, I had a different tech and she was younger and she did great! Super friendly and tried to make sure they were even and asked throughout the process if I liked them and or if I wanted to change them. I did get a design and extra stuff and she made sure I was okay with the price first. ( this is big for me bc other places would do it and then surprise you at the end with the price. I do know that designs+ gems + stickers it would a little more). Between both visits they did a 2 minute timed massage for your shoulders and gives you a hot towel for your hands and they with then lather your hands with lotion. ( my first experience was soon to NYE ) when I checked out they gave me lotion and cuticle oil. The second time they gave me a coupon for my next visit due to me waiting 30 even though I had an appointment. Over all super friendly! read more

I am currently visiting Philadelphia and I came across this beautiful salon! I requested to do ombré acrylic full set by Amy and it was her first attempt of an ombré... I love it, she was patient into learning something new and tried it with a great attitude. Everyone else made me feel comfortable it was such a lovely vibe. A girl named Sarah did French tip for my toenails (she didn't even work there) but I trust her because she claimed to work there before. She didn't want me to wait. This place did a great job on my acrylic refill! Very fair price for gel and Ruby really took her time and did a great job. I had gone to a place in Philly before and they made them too thick and didn't do the shape I asked for (almond). Ruby fixed them and really took her time. Everybody there was very nice and they helped me right away even though I was a walk-in. Some people who came in after me had to wait but for a very short amount of time. I will definitely be back! It can be hard to find a place that does great acrylics. read more

Dear La Nails Hockessin DE and all consumers, During the month of March I became a common customer of this business, but had a couple issues with the staff. On multiple occasions when getting refills/ new sets of acrylic nails, I was displeased with the technique the staff used, when using a drill to shape the acrylics. An electric drill should be used with caution and care, but multiple of your staff have not done so. They have drilled onto my skin before to the point that I had cuts on multiple fingers, and my nails would feel sore from them accidentally drilling my nail. I tried to ask for different employees, hoping I wouldn't come home with cuts on the sides of my fingers, but most have failed to do so. I did have a couple of staff members that did do a great job, but the majority didn't. So I continued to go there to get my nails done since my nails looked good but the experiences were not very good, until in April when LA nails decided to change their acrylic formula from powder to gel. On April 7th I went to get a refill for my acrylics but was surprised to find out that they changed the formula. I was still excited to see how gel acrylic works, and was happy to try something new. Although, I was sad to find out that the brand of gel acrylic they had bought gives you a harsh burning feeling when put into the UV light. The staff member did warn me by saying, "if it burns, take your hand out for a couple seconds." This made me kind of scared because I've never had a burning feeling in the past when I've gotten my nails done. So after she put the gel onto my nail beds, I put my hand in the UV machine so that the acrylic would set. This became a huge problem when my nails started burning so bad, to the point where I had to take my hands out and wait till it stopped. No customers should have to go through a burning sensation or getting cuts and drill burns on your fingers, when you are the one paying up to $50 for this service. After this experience, I have chosen to switch my nail provider to T&L Nails in Kennett, Pa, and have been very happy will all of the employees and their techniques. I urge any acrylic nail lover to choose a different company than LA Nails, so that you don't have to go through the same pain that I did. I also urge LA nails to switch back to their old powder acrylic formula so that they don't lose even more customers, like they lost me. It would also be helpful if the employees were taught to use their electric drills correctly, with better caution. LA Nail Salon is a friendly, well run, walk in nail salon. You can make an appointment, but it's not necessary. They offer a wide variety of services including mani's, pedi's, acrylic, gel, and waxing services. Get the basic pedi and enjoy a great massage with warmed rocks. This is a good nail salon. It's very clean with lots of color choices. I didn't have to wait for someone to do my nails. The service was okay. They did my nails well, but the person doing them didn't talk to me at all. Also I read online that it was was around twenty for acrylics but when I went it, they told me it was $30 with regular polish and $39 with gel acrylics. I then preceded to ask for coffin shape nails they charged me $5 more because they weren't square or round. All in all, it was a good place. read more

So I went here for my prom nails. I got acrylics and my friend just got polish. We went and I noticed that two of the workers were ASLEEP. I told the lady that wasn't that I made an appointment (which I did not need to do since there was nobody in there) I asked them how much the acrylics were and I was told 30. Did not match the price on their website. We were told to pick out colors, which we did. We went to our seats and my friend ( who had sat down maybe 10 seconds before me) was already half way done. The lady rushed through my friend's nails and was "finished" in less than five minutes. The paint job was horrible and my friend could've painted them better. Once she was done with her nails, she returned to the sofa that she was zasleep on in the beginning. The lady that did my nails did not ask me what shape or length I wanted. (She mentioned asking as she was already cutting one). The employees were not nice at all and seemed to be there only for the money. It was clean In there but employees should never be SLEEPING on the job. My friend paid $8 for her nails to be painted and they didn't deserve any of that. The ladies there were rude when I asked for assistance and refused to listen to what I had to say about my nails. I will NOT be returning and I used to love this place. WHAT A SHAME! I did not provide a tip either as they didn't deserve it. DONT GO HERE!!! read more

this place is awesome. the people there are really sweet and they do an amazing job, they recently remodeled and it looks fantastic. the lighting, decorations, and music go perfectly together to make for a great experience. last but not least, the prices are very reasonable!
