Overall I had an okay experience at this salon. I got my eyebrows waxed, a pedicure and a gel manicure. The total came to $68, which I thought was okay. My nails were styled by a younger girl. She took the time to talk to me and ask about my preferences. She attempted the design that I wanted but her skill just wasn't quite good enough. I will give her props for being persistent and trying several times. My nails did start chipping in just three days, and I can normally get two solid weeks out of a gel manicure. The salon itself was clean and they had a TON of colors to chose from. They even had polishes that change with temperature. One huge negative for me though was when the lady double dipped into the wax when she did my eyebrows. read more

I've given this salon several chances, hoping each visit would be better, but unfortunately my experience has remained the same. The customer service is not very welcoming, the salon doesn't always feel as clean as it should, and the staff are not particularly personable. What stood out most was the noticeable favoritism toward regular clients. As someone who wasn't a frequent customer, I often felt overlooked and treated differently. A good salon should make every client feel valued, whether it's their first visit or their hundredth. It's disappointing because I truly believe this salon has the potential to provide a much better experience. However, it doesn't seem like much effort is made to make new clients feel comfortable or appreciated. Sadly, they've lost my business, but I hope they take feedback like this as an opportunity to improve. read more

I live next to this salon and hate going. They don't know how to or are to lazy to do proper nail designs. I boiled down to just taking my 5 year old daughter there and they told her they can't put fruit on her nails. When asked why, it's too many excuses: her nails are too short, no one knows how to draw fruit, we close at 7 and it's 6 o'clock. I suspect they only shuck and jive for who they deem like the right type of client. The owner has cameras in the shop and calls often to correct the employees. Oya I ask you for justice. read more

Believe it was the owner/manager who did my nails. Hands down worst mani pedi I've ever had. We had an appointment for 2, I waited with my feet soaking for 30 minutes while my mother was being attended to. When the woman started to do my nails, she rushed so fast that we finished the pedicure at the same time. She did my nails in the same rushed fashion. I had finished 30 minutes before my mom. Unsterilized equipment was used throughout. Her stations were filthy. When I asked her to fix my nails, yet another rush job, still looked terrible. Stay away from this place or ask for one of the younger staff members. The younger gentleman did a great job for my mom. read more

I normally would never write a review but this was potentially the worst manicure experience I've ever had in 15 years of getting my nails done. Also extremely dusty and unkept inside. Would give it a zero rating if able. Uneven nails, uneven nail polish along with "cat eye polish" and never using the magnets for cat eye effect, along with making my cuticle bleed read more

Very filthy place, corona shields are still up and are so dirty that you can barely see through.. nothing seems to be cleaned. My nail tech got nail polish all over my feet and I have to re-do it myself. Nail job was 0 stars and the place itself along with staff are not nice read more

Nail tech (maybe manager or owner) tried to use nail clippers on me that were stuck in a pencil holder with brushes etc. so I stopped her and asked if she didn't have any sterilized equipment. The employee behind me translated and then she got up and got sterilized tools. She ended up cutting my finger and I was so glad I asked for the sterile tools. IDK why she didn't start with them! Would also give 0 stars. When will that be available. read more

I have been going to Bliss since it opened. I would not go anywhere else. Honorable mention to Ann and Rose. The best!!

I have been getting services from this salon for 5 years and I just love them. They are very professional, clean and peaceful.

Clean salon and variety of color to chose from! Staff is always pleasant and helpful! read more

I wish I put less than 1 star. service was horrible. Rude. Half job on nails. We are never going back again.

Fantastic nail salon. Very talented girls. Very clean. Tons of colors and designs to choose from.

Terrible service! Very rude people. It deserves 0 stars. They only care about certain customers and if you are new, you will be treated rudely. I do not recommend tris place. read more

I have gone to this salon several times because it is within walking distance of my house. But I am not planning to go back. There is one really careful and skillful tech there, a young college girl. I think her American nickname is Amy??? She was good. But the last few times, I haven't gotten been able to get her due to her taking more classes now. So I gave other techs a try. One was new, and I decided not to judge, because everyone has to learn. But the next time, I got another newbie, and had a similar, disappointing result. Both times, the techs were fairly unskilled, but not supervised closely. Both were too aggressive on the buffer (I get gel or dip) and both unable to understand my English enough to communicate what I wanted. The third and final time, I got ANOTHER new tech, a woman of Hispanic origin who was fluent in Spanish and English. But her skills were just not there. She agreed to do a simple dot pattern, but complained "Your nails are short! There's not much space!" It's only dots, so I thought was doable, and certainly I am patient. She tried and wiped the designs twice. I stopped her on the third try and told her "Just do the color." Instead of apologizing or explaining that she is learning, she blamed me, saying "Well, you do have short nails, so designs are not possible for you." I've always had short nails, and I've had designs many times on them! Other problems: Again, too aggro with the buffer, weakening my nails. Also, the manicure had brush strokes on two nails, wasn't smooth. She cut one of my fingers during the prep, and admonished me "Hold still!" instead of saying sorry. I was very upset afterwards, so I paid and didn't complain. I got home and was made at myself for not sticking up for my nails better. I won't go back. read more

I visited for a gel manicure. I used them before for a polish change and it was fine. They were not welcoming at all... no hello etc. For my manicure, I noticed that the instruments were not sanitized, they were already sitting on the table. The place looked like it had never been cleaned!!! During the manicure, I was cut twice and bleeding on my thumb. When I mentioned this, she first ignored me then tried to say it was there before I came in. The cuts were actually bleeding. She never acknowledged the cut or apologized for it. This was just an overall bad experience. There are too many other good shops in Hockessin to patronize a place like this. NEVER going back!!!!!!!!! read more

I got my acrylics done under a week ago and two of them have broken, one in my sleep and the other when so ran my fingers through my hair, and the polish is peeling off of my other nails. The shape is wonky and the polish is too thick. read more

Bliss nails does an awesome job. I went to jade nails last time b/c Bliss was closing for the day. I had such a horrible experience at Jade, will never go back. Was overcharged. 40.00 bucks for a pedi only. I just came from Bliss. Hannah did my nails, both pedi & mani & she did an awesome job. Thank you Hannah!!! Michele P. read more

Called ahead and made an appointment for two and asked that we be sat near each other for the services. Terrible customer service, gave us a hard time about being next to each other, felt like they were annoyed the whole time. Rushed through manicure and pedicure. Worst massage ever and their chairs equally suck. Rough edges left on nails and my feet still have rough spots. Just not an enjoyable experience all around especially for a planned girls' day and I don't like how my nails turned out in the end, they're uneven and not smooth. Not cheap so there's no reason to suck it up and go here. read more

Let me confess: I didn't actually get my nails done here. I was supposed to. My BFF made us appointments for 2:15 p.m. I arrived on time and was told to start soaking my feet. ("Told" is a strong word; the woman working on my BFF's feed just sort of pointed at the water basin.) The water was cool-bordering-on-cold. Forty minutes later, the water had turned full-on cold and no one was even close to starting my pedi. So, I got out of the basin, put on my shoes, and walked out. It didn't help that the place stunk of fumes. It was your typical strip mall nail place with poor ventilation. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning. read more

I wish I had read the reviews before hand as my experience was like many others. my manicure was the worst experience. I asked her specifically not to trim my nails but she did anyway, she did very rushed and aggressive filing to the point my fingertips were burning in pain. I had a French manicure so every time I put my nails under the infra red light it was torture. I let her know I was in pain a few times, but had no response from her. She continued to file my nails after they were polished, ruining the "French" white lines. My nails were so painful for days and the gel started to lift the next day, read more

Took my girlfriend, as she needed a gel fill last minute. An extremely nice woman named, Tho, took her right away. My girlfriend said she did an excellent job and the price was very reasonable. My girlfriend left saying she has definitely found her new go-to nail salon at Bliss read more

I have been getting gel acrylic nail fills and pedicures at Bliss for about 3 years now. The customer service is outstanding and the shop is beautiful and, even more importantly, clean. My 20 year old daughter also gets full sets of nail tips for special occasions and is consistently pleased with her service as well. I always leave feeling relaxed and look forward to my next visit! read more

Very rude and unwelcoming. We left after being treated poorly and had our nails done elsewhere.

Nail technician was fast, but not 100% thorough. They didn't have the color I wanted (Mademoiselle.. a very common color!) Salon has chemical smell from the gels etc. With so many salons in the area, and the fact they charge the same price as the no chemical smelling slalom, will go to those next time.. read more

Wheres the 0 star? I would not reccomend to anyone! Cut the top of my small toe while giving pedicure, told me i had dry cracked feet - false. Then she rushed thru my gel manicure and that same night my polish started to peel off (gel supposed to last 3 weeks not 10 hours)Went in to have it fixed and I'll just say it wasn't a nice experience...you're not supposed to make your customers feel uncomfortable. Bad for business. read more

Went yesterday afternoon for a manicure. I didn't have an appointment but called ahead and they said they weren't busy. Staff was very friendly and there really wasn't a wait. My nail tech was very nice but that's about all the positive comments I have. Other clients there seemed to be laughing with the staff which made me think there must be a lot of regulars. I'd think that's a good sign. My experience, well, I think a 5 year old could've done just as good. It was only $15, so I'm not concerned about a refund. The nail tech really jammed into my cuticles with that tool they use. I've had my nails done many times before and normally it's a gentle experience. Then she seemed to be having trouble with the polish. I noticed it was going on pretty thick but she didn't say anything. She did a lot of touch ups. I knew it probably wasn't the best manicure, but it was last minute so no big deal. Then I took a look at it this morning. A huge hunk of cuticle at my nail bed was hanging so I cut it off and that's when I noticed all the lumps and cracks in my nail polish. I'm including photos. Even though they were friendly and fast, due to the quality of the job, I will not be going back. read more

Have been going here for about 5 months now and the disappointment has set in. I call and make an appointment with the hope that I will get the same person. Does not happen. Every time I went I got someone different doing my nails and each time the price was different. Really?? I get the same thing every time so I do not see how the prices vary. Did I mention that the last and final time I went the girl cut my fingers 3!!! times?? I will not go back ever!! They have lost my business for good read more

This is literally the worst manicure I have EVER received. It was the most pain and unenjoyable experience I could not wait for it to be over. She was EXTREMELY rough and was literally sanding and cutting the skin around my nails. At one point I started bleeding and still NOTHING was done about it. My face was visually showing pain and discomfort and I actually said "ow" out-loud and NOTHING. I am now left with a SLOPPY manicure and red and inflamed finger tips with cuts all over them. My nails actually looked better before going into this. I would NEVER step foot in this establishment again even if they paid me. Do your self a favor and never go here. I would give this negative stars if I could. I made a yelp account just to post this review. read more

If I could give this salon 0 stars I would HORRIBLE customer service. Made me wait over half an hour continually telling me it would only be a few minutes. U have to go to this salon when u need your nails done. This place is fantastic!! As soon as I walked in I was greeted. Picked out my color and the nail tech was right there. He noticed a nail fungus right away which the place I went to before totally ignored. He was extremely nice and did my nails exactly as I wanted. Did I say that they look absolutely beautiful?? I will definitely go back. I have found a new nail salon at table 3. Please go here when u need your nails done. read more

Hidden gem! I will come here from now on! I used to go to Jade Nails but their hours aren't really convenient - and prior to coming here today I sat in Polished in Hockessin for 1 hour with no help in sight - walked in here and was helped immediately -- this was a pleasant surprise & I couldn't be more happy with the help here! read more

I went in for a manicure today and I was not satisfied at all by their service. First of all, when I went I was looking for nail colors that I wanted to use and they just kept rushing me when the place was empty. Secondly, when the lady was putting lotion on my hands, I understand she had to get it on and in between my fingers but she started to pull my fingers very hard and it hurt. Then, when the lady started to put on my nail polish, it was very sloppy and rushed and you could clearly see the different layers because she didn't cover my whole nail with polish. She didn't even clean up the nail polish around my nails that got on my skin and when it was completely dry it looked horrible. I also asked for an accent nail and she ended up putting on a clear nail polish with a couple sparkles here and there and when I asked her to fix that nail she rolled her eyes. The bottom line is that I would not recommend this place to anyone! read more
