Is it possible to give zero stars??? I walked in at 5:00pm when the hours are 9am-7pm. The owner, Jade, gave me an attitude when I asked for a pedicure. Then spoke to her co-worker for about 2 minutes in another language. Then told me to pick out my color.... then said "I have closed my register are you able to pay me in cash?" I said "you are open until 7:00pm correct? As it states on your door." She then said "we are closing early today." I said "I can go somewhere else if you prefer." The owner Jade tells me "Ok." I went here having never been because it was close to my school. Was able to walk in and get a gel mani and pedi right away. Pedicure was super (too) quick didn't do a great job removing all the skin off my dancers feet. But everything was clean and I walked away happy. Went away on a cruise and my gel manicure (OPI do you lilac it) started to turn white after just a few days; it is already worn down in spots and peeling off at the edges (see photo). The male employee does not even deserve to be called a Gentlemen, he was downright rude when I asked to have my cuticles trimmed after a fill, they refused, wanted to charge me for a full manicure. Told him it was my first time there, other places provide the service for an additional $5. DO NOT GO!! Many other people on Yelp say he was rude to them as well. I paid $35 plus a $10 tip to have gel nails four days ago. Several of them peeled off within days and Keahn was so rude and horrible to me when I told him I didn't want to pay for a full set to fix it. He blamed it on my nails being defective not the polish. He said if I want them fixed I have to pay for a full set and when I questioned it he told me he wouldn't fix them no matter what and got security....Security took my side by the way. She said she was getting her nails done there and will not be going in anymore because of this. The salon was empty by the way I was the only customer in there and they chased me away and lost another customer in the security girl all in one day. This salon is clean, and the staff is friendly. They have a good selection of quality polishes. Although the space is small, it does not feel crowded and there are plenty of stations. The staff goes above and beyond, and I have been happy with the end result each time I have visited. I do recommend calling ahead, as they are often busy when I go after work. read more

Just moved to the area and took a chance at this place. I only saw it because I go to the Acme across the lot. I got a pedicure and gel manicure. Place could use some updates in the nail stations but overall not bad. Great selection of colors and everyone there was nice. I was charged $50 which is much cheaper than DC area. This nail salon is the closest one to me, so whenever I'm in a rush I tend to come here even though I know the salon might make a mistake. I've gotten a few full sets done here and every time I get burned with the nail drill. Yes, the nail tech cleaned it off every time but, I realized they aren't gentle at ALL. I just went back to get my acrylics off, thinking okay there's no way for them to burn me or "mess up" in an way, it's a simple task. Well I was WRONG! The nail tech I had burned me two times, I was bleeding quite a lot. I also had to tell her multiple times that the drill was going quite "fast" on my nail and my nails were very fragile, she didn't do anything about it. It's been 4 days and I have had to put bandaids on my fingertips because my nails are so fragile.... I will NEVER be going back to Jade's nails again! read more

Currently looking for somewhere else to take my business. I usually don't leave negative feedback but I'm so upset with what happened. Before i start right in let me say that I have gone here a few times before the incident below and honestly have never found any of the staff especially nice, they are lukewarm at best, never really try to make conversation or smile even. I went in for a gel manicure for myself and a full acrylic set for my daughter. I ended up paying $40 for my manicure and $30 for my daughter's acrylics (their card states $5 off for 16 and under but I was never asked her age... she is under 16). When I asked about their pricing (because it's not posted at all) I was told mine was more because I asked for 2 nails to be painted with the holographic powder. First I didn't know it was a powder I figured it was a polish as every other sample they have in the choices. Second I didn't know it was considered nail art until they had already charged me. There were several opportunities for her to tell me it would be an additional charge but she never said anything to me. Rude!! The other part I didn't like was that the nail tech doing my daughter's nails painted over the gold glitter polish with the matte top coat then proceeded to paint over the rest of the black nails with the same top coat leaving gold glitter sporadically thought her entire manicure when I told the lady I didn't like it she fixed only one nail... then I went to a lady who seemed to be in charge and showed her and she very rudely glared at me and asked "what did she ask for" i replied to her "well ma'am I don't know exactly what she asked for but I'm sure she didn't want the gold glitter polish covered in matte so it doesn't even sparkle and I don't know who would want the rest of their manicure ruined by this glitter" she made a face then fixed her nails herself still finding pieces of glitter in the matte top coat. Never offered to reimburse for misunderstandings or for shitty service, I did not tip that day because I felt like $70 was already overcharging me and no one there deserved it because they really didn't play to us the customers AT ALL!! read more

This is my favorite place to get my nails done. The store is very clean, the people are all very kind and welcoming, and they take good care of you with every service. It really depends on which technician you get! I've been here lots of times through the years. The service is uneven. Today, while the foot and leg massage was lovely, the attention (or lack thereof) to my toenails and feet left much to be desired. Granted, I did not want toe polish, but even still the technician spent less than 20 minutes on my pedicure. The place was recently renovated so the decor is very nice. The polish selection is mediocre at best. When I started going here, a year ago, Jade herself did my nails and I was very impressed with her and the staff. No one spoke anything but English. I go every 2-3 weeks, I have not seen Jade again and all the employees speak their native language constantly. I find that to be so annoying. Recently a new technician started and if not for her I would have looked elsewhere. I like the higher class patrons then in other salons on Kirkwood but other than Ann, I'm not impressed with the technicians. read more

I go every couple of weeks for gel manicure & pedicure. The color selection is ok (I'd prefer a bit of a bigger bolder selection). The salon is clean & up to date. The staff for the most part are very friendly. They do a great job. Fi (I'm not sure of the spelling) is incredibly awesome & there's a younger woman there who is especially great if you want something extra (designs etc). They also do waxing, I'm very particular about my eyebrows & they always do a good job & listen to what I say I want done. read more

I came in here on a whim. I usually go to another salon further up Kirkwood Highway, but thought I would give this place a try. The salon seems clean but it's very dated. It's odd that they do hair there as well, and the waxing bed is in the middle of the salon, not in an enclosed room. My nail tech was a really nice younger guy. We talked and he told me that nails wasn't his first profession and after the pedicure I could definitely tell. The massage was good, but as far as scrubbing callouses, shaping the nails, and the paint job...that was below average. I usually get a design on my big toe so I have no idea how that would have worked out if I had decided to get one. I really want to give this place 2 stars, but the guy was really nice and had good customer service. read more

My daughter & I went in to Jade Nails in Pike Creek. She got a gel mani for 30.00 which she loved. The woman did a great job. I got a gel pedi & was charged $40.00. That was insane. I didn't even get a mani done b/c I was so unhappy with what I received. Turned me off. Never again will I got there. I will gladly go back to Bliss Nails. 50.00 for both gel mani/pedi. However, you have to go when they first open b/c once they get busy, you get lost in the shuffle. read more

Very rude staff, the whole time the male employee was sighing and harsh with pulling my hands. I asked if I could go get a different color and he sighed loudly and gave a dirty look. He also did my nails wrong and didn't try to fix what he did wrong. I ended up going somewhere else to have it fixed (10/10 recommend sugarcoat nail salon!) and they said my nails looked like the gel was done wrong. Went recently for a pedi and gel polish manicure and was serviced by a cranky man or was generally unpleasant who nicked the hell out of my cuticles which are now nicely scabbed. It was way overpriced, I usually go to a place on Kirkwood Highway but stopped into Jade for convenience and should have asked price up front. My usual place is $20 less for both (they are $35, Jade charged $55) and the pedi is way better, no scrub or anything at Jade. Bad experience for me, maybe others have better luck there though, they certainly are very busy. read more

I've had fill in, gel manicure and 2 pedicures from Jade Nails. This is my problem. I feel their service to be at best, mediocre. They have a great polish selection, both gel and regular. And the salon seems clean. My pedicures were done quickly and with absolutely no finesse. Although the chair was great. The manicures WRECKED my cuticles. They were haphazardly trimmed and causing many hang nails. All this and the salon only accepts cash. I will not be returning. read more

I was debating on writing a review on this, but my experience was so awful that I thought I should share. I came in as a walk in and they were not busy at all, a few of the workers were sitting waiting for people to come in. I was promptly greeted with a "what do you want" and I said I would like a gel manicure. I asked the price and a man told me what it would cost, and then told me what it would cost with "long nail" which I only assumed meant acrylics. I told him I did NOT want fake nails or acrylic, just a simple gel manicure. I picked out my color, which he told me no and made me go pick another one. Then he proceeded to cut my nails down all the way to the nail bed. I wasn't paying attention when he did this so by the time I noticed it was too late and he had to do it for the rest. He then started drilling my nails. This was my first gel manicure so I was unaware that you do not need to drill for gel. So after he drilled all my nails, he pulled out the tips for acrylics nails. Before he continued I stopped him saying that I told him multiple times that I didn't want acrylics I only want gel. He then got made at ME because of HIS mistake. After ruining what nails I had, he then trimmed my cuticles in the worst way ever. To this day I still have painful hangnails because of his poor service. He basically ruined my nails for no reason at all. I should not have had to pay full price for this botched service. I am not please and would never recommend this place. The man doing my nails had visible DIRT under his finger nails. It is not clean in there and I should have walked out in the first 5 mins of arrival. read more
