I like the little market option to buy frozen food etc. the place is really cute. The service is great.

Over priced AF! They are the embodiment of "shrinkflation"! With scant portions that it's insulting to my intelligence. TRUMP 2024!! read more

The butternut squash soup was lukewarm and had way too much curry. I had chicken salad sandwich. It was dark meat but more importantly it had a very odd flavor, like it was not fresh.Very disappointing read more

Pretty cool spot with good atmosphere. Came for breakfast with my buddy and it was a nice time. Food was okay, not spectacular but good. Where to order was a bit confusing and a few other customers were confused as well so it wasn't just us. Will try again when back in town for breakfast read more

Quick and friendly service. I just had the oatmeal, but it was absolutely delicious! Simple ingredients but super yummy! Enjoyed sitting by the window, watching the shoppers! read more

Welcome to downtown Waxhaw where all the shops are mom and pops and the clientele loves the southern charm. Located here is an amalgamation of a dine in, antique shop and small convenience store. From the looks of the outside there doesn't seem to be much to Provisions yet it's not until you walk in that you realize all that Provisions has to offer. The first time I came here, I thought it was 3 different stores but slowly I started to get the idea. I walked around for awhile with my daughter and then we see the dining area so we decide to order. I got the Best Reuben Sandwich that was good but far from the best and the price was higher than you'd expect even given the portion size. My daughter got the Classic Club sandwich which was good yet she said she wouldn't get it again. As others have said, wait time can be long and I believe that's due to long lines. In all, Provisions of Waxhaw is a nice place to stop by and browse yet the concept of all three shops in a small area doesn't appeal to me. If I were to stop by again, it would be for the convenience of getting a drink or snack not for the food or the antiques which really caters to a niche demographic. read more

This place made me fall in love with downtown Waxhaw! I loved looking around at the market items while waiting for our food order and the employees were so wonderful that just interacting with them made me so happy! The food was great. I got the scrambler with a biscuit and a Carmel iced latte with oat milk (which was also delicious)! I can't wait to return. read more

Recently moved to Waxhaw area. Decided to stop by for a quick breakfast. Food wasn't the best, but was ok. Price was excellent. The reason for giving this place 3 start .... It's the most dirty place I've even sat at. Don't even start me on the bathroom part. read more

Love this place. Quaint and comfortable. Had the Papa's Breakfast and every thing on my plate was delicious. I'd highly recommend the biscuit with honey butter. Dang. Friendly, polite staff. Highly recommend. read more

Indeed the best Ruben in town - tender, piled high and stacked perfectly on toasted, marbled rye bread (the way it SHOULD be!). The Chicken Salad is spectacular as well, featuring flavorful thigh meat on a buttery croissant . Even though it was 95+ degrees outside, the Tomato & Basil Soup was a huge hit with our four top. Outstanding service from the attentive wait staff and an adorable team working the front of the house. Shop the food market and micro-antique nook coming and going. read more

Great asset to our community. Small town feel of a old country store. Great sandwiches limited breakfast options. Great items available that can be purchased locally here without traveling. Been here twice and enjoyed it both times. The food is tasty! Prices for the restaurant are within acceptable limits. They serve you in real dishes and no two mugs are alike. Feels very home style, while having an added depth of flavor. The store is so interesting and fun as well. A tiny bit pricey on some things but they carry difficult to find foodstuffs so, worth it. They also carry tons of local made and farmed foods so read more

Such a great place to go for breakfast and lunch..... and there must be over 100 items on the shelves that I have never heard of... It's amazing. Just this month I noticed that Our State (NC) Magazine did a bit of a feature on Provisions with photos of my favorite sandwich.. The Reuben is without a doubt the best Reuben I have ever had. The BLT is another winner for sure as is Breakfast Burrito. The owners go out of their way to use as little plastic as possible... getting food to go includes wooden 'tools'... paper bags and food containers. Thumbs up to them for that. New Expresso section in the store is also excellent. read more

Their menu is great for breakfast and lunch and you won't be disappointed. All locally sourced and their market of goods are fantastic.

Seriously the BEST RUEBEN IN TOWN. Great breakfast burrito, too. Such a great place to enjoy great food and watch the train go by.

I do not know where all this wonderful reviews came from. Yes there is a variety of selection. What I ordered I truly did not like, and that's ok (broccoli cheddar soup and side salad) as we all have taste preferences . What is factual is that Salad leaves we're looking very sad and wilted and coffee was butter from the amount of syrup. I ordered Lavender coffee, and the aroma of lavender was very strong and overpowering the coffee to the point I could not taste coffee at all, only bitterness of lavender. I left the soup untouched but coffee I asked it I could change it. Apparently I could only buy a new $5/cup. I understand if I was asking to bring a whole new meal or open a new can of something but a cup of coffee...? To each their own but I would not be bringing my family back and will try other business in this area. read more

The food here is fresh, hot, and very delish. I had the cheese steak today and it was amazing. The bread was given proper buttered love and was so soft and satisfying. The steak chunks were soft like butter and tasted wonderful. The cheese was so gooey and loaded. The overall flavor was awesome and can't wait to return for more. My wife's tomato soup had a homemade authentic flavor and was just perfect for the weather today. This is a must try kinda place. Service is warm with smiles and the ambiance is nice. Definitely recommend this place to all. read more

We were warmly greeted by a most helpful lady. She took our order as soon as we were ready. The food came out promptly and was well prepared and everything was to order. My husband's Ruben was a unexpected big sandwich! tender corn beef and he wanted extra sauce was so good. The BLT was just perfection. Our omelets were tasty and biscuits tender and scrumptious! Many people attending to us and our table. Still a Sweet Spot, love the Rustic Farm Ambiance, and Unique General Store. Great place to take out of town guest too. read more

My daughter and I stopped in for a quick lunch and they didn't disappoint! Food was delicious, quick, and the staff were all smiles! I love the ambiance with the wood floors, mix matched chairs and tables, and the cute market at the front of the store. Will definitely be back! read more

It's located downtown Waxhaw. It's a small quaint place that basically serves breakfast and lunch type foods. I found nothing special about the breakfast (as far as the food was concerned). Actually, Waffle House taste better and seems to give you more for your money. If you are t lazy, you can fix (what you get) at home! You can get refills on the coffee. The decor is "southern grandma's donations". People probably come more to socialize and because of the food. read more

Their retail area used to be really nice ...But Waxhaw General store is way better now ! Took a gamble and got lunch ....The food was really rather gross, sides were lame (legit a cup of kids apple sauce!), soggy over buttered toasted sandwiches, not nearly a serving of meat, just sloppy and not at all appetizing! The menu states no refunds or exchanges...should have been our first clue the food wasn't going to be good! Left hunger and embarrassed we took out of town guest there! Go to Maxwells or blue door! read more

If you want to go shopping for your next meal as well as have a meal while you are there, this is a is place to Go. It has every artifact from the 1950s to now hanging on its walls. Lots to peruse while you're shopping or waiting for your meal. It's a very friendly place and one that is sure to attract the locals. They say they have the best Ruben and I would have to agree. Love their coffees. Breakfast sandwiches are delicious. You can't go wrong if you're eating and shopping here! read more

Wow, amazing breakfast on Sunday.....saw others eating incredible looking sandwiches for lunch. The pancakes might be the best I've ever eaten! Very laid back environment, big seat-yourself room with a few kids play things. Local meats & dairy, amazing flavors! This little spot is so delightful! The atmosphere is so quaint & homey! It's just so unique & different. Casual & laid back. I love it. The food is delicious! I love that their food is all locally supplied. Everything is fresh! We ordered the busicuts & gravy (only available on the weekends), a homestyle grit bowl & 1 pancake. We shared it all & left nothing on the plate! Nothing about this was ordinary. If your looking for great atmosphere & great food that's not a chain restaurant.... this is the spot! read more

Provisions Waxhaw is a great spot to grab a coffee, breakfast / lunch, or pre-made snacks and meals. I had breakfast here on a Saturday. This place gives old country store vibes, and they have the hospitality to match. The restaurant was quite busy on a Saturday morning. We ordered at the counter, found a seat, and then explored the store as we waited for our food. We had the grits, french toast, and croissant sandwich. All were delicious! The prices are super affordable, the place is very family friendly, and the food is great. As a warning, it is pretty loud as there are tons of families with small children here, so if you're looking for a quite meal I'd go somewhere else. The noise wasn't an issue for us! read more

Order French toast sandwich and breakfast burrito to take out. Sandwich came with one side and ordered basil tomato soup. Soup was so rich and a bit sour. Definitely will order it again next time. read more

Spent between $70-100 a week on lattes and breakfast to go. Literally stopped here every morning. We also bought occasionally eggs and other products. Recently I bought 2 Elf on Shelves ($15 each). I couldn't find them so last week I bought 2 more only to find the other 2. I returned 2 this morning - I was told they will not take an exchange. Still in the original packaging, never opened and still in the store bag. Horrible biz practice. I will not give my money to a small business that that doesn't honor their customers. They lost $5000 in sales because of $15 Christmas item. read more

This place used to be great! My husband and I went over the course of a few weeks for a while then waited til we moved closer to go more often but by the time we moved, they had gotten rid of two really great vegan dishes. We're both vegan and this was the closest spot to our house until now. They had these Korean-style jackfruit tacos that had amazing sauce as well as a solid tofu scramble. The portions were great. It's so sad when restaurants get rid of vegan options. We exist! Bring back the tacos! read more

The people were nice, the place was cute and welcoming, but the food was not good. I ordered the Mediterranean Chicken Wrap and Tomato Basil Soup. There was very little chicken on the wrap, and the soup was bland and lukewarm. My friend ordered the Veg Head and said the side of potatoes was cold and the avocado toast was skimpy. Disappointing. read more
