TL;DR. EPIC place for coffee, wine, cocktails, small group conversations/meetings, studying, or chilling. Quite surprised this place was buried on the second page, although maybe that's because it's relatively new. This is easily the #1 wine bar/coff ee place/lounge on the Eastern Shore. It is like a smaller version of Tampa's Armature Works. The wine bar has a bunch of cocktails and specialty drinks utilizing wine as their liquor of choice with hard-working, amicable bartenders. The coffee bar includes a bakery and is reasonably-priced with excellent drinks. The owner, Will, is almost always there working right alongside his staff and meeting patrons. There is also a small grocery market area, as well as a high-end "flea market"/craft fair style area and a decent selection of wines available for purchase by the bottle. Lastly, there is plenty of lounge/couch space to "chill" on, as well as tables for studying, and the music and talking levels (even when busy) are kept appropriate for a relaxed atmosphere conducive to both getting serious work done and meeting with someone for a drink and some conversation. read more

My coworker and I spent the day walking around exploring downtown Fairhope and decided to start our day here. (Side note: this was the best decision) Outside they have small tables with cute colorful chairs for additional seating. Inside you can find lots of cute gifts and pottery items, along with jams, sauces, wines etc. They have a coffee and regular bar where you can order drinks and food. We opted for coffee and brunch. I ordered an iced matcha with lavender and vanilla and oat milk. This was so delicious not too sweet and had the perfect amount of lavender syrup. I ordered the chili crunch avocado toast. This was very good, served on a long thin slice of toast smothered in avocado and topped with their popular market chili crunch. This thing packed some heat, the chili oils was loaded on top (not complaining) but I was taking large sips of my matcha to relieve my mouth. I ended up buying several gifts for my sister, including some pottery pieces and a recipe book. The seating areas and entire shop is so cute, definitely instaworthy. We had a group of 18 ladies that met for lunch in June coming from Mobile and the Eastern Shore. Provision arranged tables that accommodated us perfectly. Everyone ordered something different and all were delightfully pleased with their meal, drink, and dessert. The atmosphere was wonderful! I had the avocado toast with two fried eggs along with an iced matcha with a shot of expresso. Grabbed some delicious cookies to go as treats for my family. We will definitely add this to our list of regular venues for future gatherings. Highly recommend Provision no matter the size of your group. This place is so cute! My hubby and I both ordered the breakfast biscuit, one with the bread and one without. Both were DELICIOUS. Lots of good soy candles, sustainable home items, and gift options in the store. A few organic options in the specialty grocery section. They serve actual cold brew (not just iced coffee). In a word, OBSESSED. I'm kind of a croissant snob and the one I had was amazing. Also, I make my own cold brew at home because I find that most people make theirs with coffee that's too acidic. But the one I had a Provision was so smooth that I didn't even put cream in it. My husband and I also went for a drink one night and the Pinot noir mule was unreal. I think the thing I appreciate most is that there's a little something for whatever mood I'm in: bite to eat, caffeine, wine, or a little shopping for a fun goody. This place has potential, but as of yet does not know what they want to excel at. The food selection was limited and weak and the presentation was even worse. The sweets looked old and picked over. The "market" is really just a lot of overpriced specialty items meant more a hostess gift than everyday use. We live out of town, but I finally had the opportunity to return- Provision is now at the top of my list when traveling to Mobile/Fairhope. The atmosphere is unlike anywhere else I have ever been and the staff goes out of their way to make everyone feel at home. Everything about this place is extremely well thought out. It was hard to decide what I wanted with so many delicious options on the menu. I had the Brussels and prosciutto toast- it is a must! I also picked up a few cheeses and specialty groceries that were recommended and my only regret is not bringing a bigger cooler to bring more back with me. Provision is hands down our favorite spot in Fairhope. We visit several times per week. There's no better place to meet up with friends -- morning, noon or night! The coffee is incredible. The bowls and West Indies avocado toast are my favorite lunches (gluten free!) The staff is all so friendly. We went to Provision for the first time at 5:30 on Oct. 2. We were told we could order drinks and food at the bar. We went to the bar and people were elbow to elbow without masks. There was nowhere safe to approach the staff and place an order. We waited patiently for a space to open up and we finally got a place to make an order, albeit too close to other people. The staff waited on several people who crowed in at other parts of the bar after we got to the bar and ignored us. We never even got a menu. They have plenty of space, but the way they are set up, everyone has to go to the bar to order--no wait staff. Poorly managed, poorly staffed. This place needs to be shut down for not enforcing social distancing. read more

After I purchased the beer I thought it would be nice to have a couple of the beers cold so I went to the back bartender to have her swap out a couple of warm for cold. She was busy making a couple of drinks and turned away to finish those drinks..... which is expected..... but when she finished she turn to get the customers water after she returned with the water she asked the customers if they wanted something to eat at that point the customers were like it's ok to help the guy with the beer swap but she held up her hand to me and waved me off...... at that point I collected my beer and headed to the door.... not without saying thx for your help....it would have taken at the most 10 secs to swap out the beer... I could have went anywhere to pay $32 for 8 beers but chose this establishment which I'm now regretting.. I could use this incident to post a bad review but I believe in 2nd time experiences before I make judgement. Great location with fantastic decor. The selection of pastries is good but the types of milk for latte are limited. The wine selection is varied with some unique picks. However the per glass wine price is ridiculous and the pour is extremely small. When you price a 4-5 oz pour at $14 and the bottle sells for $17.50 then the pour may be short but the price is BIG! Buy the bottle of wine TO-GO and try a cocktail instead. All-in-all a place worth hanging out at for coffee or a drink. read more
