They were both very tasty and filling that we had some left of both. The breakfast sandwich came with jalapeño jelly and if you're worried about spice well don't be. I didn't find it spicy at all. There was a lot of dill on the avocado toast but that could be easily removed. The butterscotch lattes were delicious and not too sweet. They were so good my friend ordered another to go. read more

Service here is still pretty rough. Four people behind the counter and they take on average 15-20 minutes to make a coffee on a laid back day. Nice people but unfortunately they don't know how to make the drinks and even forget coffee itself sometimes. This was a spot that I wanted to check out because I saw some pictures on Instagram. Provider is located in the same building as Tinker Coffee! There's a private parking lot and I was able to find a spot. The coffee shop is not that big but they have adequate seating. I was able to find seating at the bar. I went on a Saturday afternoon so I'm not sure how busy it usually is or what their peak hours are. I was facing the cute "Nice Weather" neon sign. The coffee shop has nice natural lighting. I ordered a hot Miel latte (which is seasonal). All of the lattes are $7 (which is on the pricier side in my opinion). I enjoyed my latte but it was on the sweeter side. It was also garnished with something - I'm not really sure what.... I'm moderately allergic to nuts and it seemed like maybe my latte might have been garnished with some kind of nut? I ended up not finishing the latte because it was a lot (oz wise) and a little too sweet for me. Overall, I would definitely come back and try something else! This place is beautiful and has beautiful food and drinks! I always opt for their avocado toast, which is as good tasting as it is good looking, and their lime leaf latte when it is available. They have outdoor seating and have started to have seating available upstairs sometimes. They have opened up their inside for ordering now, but enforce social distancing and have nice benches for you to wait at while you wait for your food and drink. I'm gonna be real. My wife picked this place out for lunch. I then saw the menu. I was...apprehensive. I love meat and hearty meals. I saw a menu with nothing but vegetarian options. Uh oh. This was an interesting find in Indianapolis. Definitely has that progressive, hipster atmosphere. I enjoyed seeing old school 90's Nintendo games being played on the TV. The service was fine; definitely not the most inviting barista I have ordered from but my beverage was tasty. I ordered a Golden Milk, which is listed as a non-coffee drink with turmeric, chili de arbol, and ginger. To be honest, it tasted like a sweet, over priced latte. What a great idea to have coffee and cocktails in the same place? Late afternoon work meeting? Start with coffee and then have a cocktail when the work is done! I had the Rhizomatic mule which was excellent! Bright ginger and turmeric flavor, and bright yellow color that kicked the traditional mule up a notch! I also had a grilled cheese which was amazing! This is not a kiddie grilled cheese unless your child is an incredibly cool foodie prodigy . Brie, blue cheese and figs! Absolutely delicious and perfectly crisp on the outside and gooey inside. The wifi is free, and there are some tables that can fit laptops. It was pretty crowded late afternoon/early evening on a Friday, but we were able to get a table that worked for work as well as enjoying our beverages and food. This isn't a quiet place, but definitely not too loud to easily have a conversation. There is some parking in the adjacent lot, but most spots are marked for other businesses; there were some spots in a lot across the street near a building that is being rehabbed and we saw other spots on gravel near the Monon. read more

I really enjoyed going to Provider. It's a nice looking place and I love anywhere I can find Tinker Coffee. I got the breakfast sandwich and that was great as well. Be careful parking. This place is so busy it fills up fast and some spots are reserved for the tech company only in this space and employees told me they will tow your car. My only gripe is they are TOO popular sometimes (or maybe I just have bad luck! Trying to find parking can be tricky and once I walked in and 20 ppl were standing in line so I nope'd out of there. Overall I like it and hope to actually sit and drink coffee and hang out there. It could easily be 5-star territory except my gripes. read more

Beautiful coffee shop nestled below Tinker's event space along 16th! Great coffee & service in a beautiful venue! If you're familiar with coat check, you'll feel right at home! Worth the trip if you want to enjoy Coat Check coffee al fresco, with a beautiful patio where you can see the Indy skyline (albeit limited). People watching isn't very good as it's all families with kids and dogs but it's still a great place to chill and sip your morning coffee. Dear God, this coffee shop is exceptional. I flew in from LA, visiting for the weekend, and I wanted to check out some of the recommended coffee shops in town. Provider was on the list so I started there. I talked to the barista and said "I'm not from here, i probably won't be back ever, please make me the best coffee you've got." She made me a mix of the pistachio coffee and one of the peanut brittle seasonal drinks and DEAR GOD 10/10. Smelled of citrus on the front end, pistachio in the middle and then a nice warm toffee/carmel end. The taste was perfection- not acidic or bitter or burned at all- just 100% smooth and a perfect palate ride through and through. I love that the menu is small, and it changes frequently. So, you might not be able to get the things that you see in the pictures on Yelp. My husband had his heart set on some avocado thing that he saw in a picture, but then it wasn't on the menu when we got there, so he got the sausage biscuit sandwich with a jammy poached egg. It was a good thing because he enjoyed it immensely. He ate it with a butterscotch latte. I got the turkey sandwich on ciabatta, which was grilled like a panini. It had roasted red peppers and capers inside. Capers! What a pleasant surprise, because who even thinks to use capers anymore. We also got a croissant, and it was just OK. It wasn't the freshest, and it wasn't housemade. I guess you can't do everything perfectly, right? I was a little confused about what to do after you order: Do they bring your food to you or are you supposed to wait for it at the counter? If you wait for it, where are you supposed to stand? I'm still not even sure, but after sitting at my table outside for 10 minutes, I went back in and asked how it works. The lady said that they "prefer you to pick up your own food." So ... is that what you want me to do? Just tell me what your protocol is, and I'll follow it! I ended up just waiting by the kitchen, which I think was making the cook nervous, as if I was trying to rush him. It's been almost 2 months since my visit to Provider and I'm still dreaming of my latte and the beautiful plants hanging from the beams above. My team and I were all arriving in Indy at different times throughout the afternoon and we decided that this would be our gathering place. I arrived to find ample parking and a giant brick building. It was easy to locate and the moment I saw it, I knew I was in for a treat. I open the doors and it was like the heavens started singing. Lots of big windows and natural light, fun décor, a variety of seating options, and a really unique menu (both food and drink). To say I was giddy would be an understatement. I immediately located my coworkers and took their suggestions on what to try. I landed on their ginger latte with oat milk and a kale salad. My latte came out first and good gracious, it was pretty. Even better... it tasted magnificent. The flavor was spot on and I sipped it down to the very last drop. I enjoyed my salad a little while later and I was really impressed with it. I have found my new study space. Not only has covid uprooted how we all function, it is also giving space at place like this to have your own table. As a full time student and with the lack in this city of late-evening coffee shops, I am left using my weekends to study. Upon entry, this location has a clean and green entry. I am of two minds with the upstairs being vacant and in use by PROVIDER. I LOVE it and feel that this is a great way to market the space above. However, I also LOVE the that people are able to experience the space of a venue while experiencing the quiet of a coffee shop. I feel immediately in love with the Avocado Toast, which is vegan! I love touring coffee shops and trying their specialty lattes, so I opted for the iced ginger latte here... it wasn't a bad cup of coffee, but it was definitely not worth $7 (+tax!). I can usually get something similar in Indy for $5-6, tops. My husband said the same thing about the $4 Flat White. I don't know that I'll come back, just because the prices were so high, but the location and decor were nice enough. You can tell it's owned by the same people who own Coat Check Coffee because several of the drinks (like the flavored lattes) are exactly the same, but the setup and decor here is different. Very hipster-stylish vibes with hanging plants and a painted mural wall. Honestly my favorite thing was the tables! Provider has later hours than a lot of caffeine suppliers in the area and as someone who doesn't consume alcohol often, this was the perfect spot to go on a Friday night with my SO to enjoy a drink.
