Went through the drive thru so I can't comment on the inside. Seemed to be decent parking while I was there. The coffee was not good. We tried the iced cinnamon roll latte and the pumpkin spice latte. The iced cinnamon roll latte was not very cinnamon and had a terrible after taste. The pumpkin spice latte had a weird flavor. The price point is on par with other coffee shops in Indy but was not at all worth it. Two medium drinks were $16 and we ended up tossing them. As one of the few, non-large chain coffee shops with a drive thru, I really wanted to love it. Need to come back and try their more traditional drinks. read more

My husband and I visited Indy for the Indy 500 race and participated in a lot of activities surrounding the race including watching the parade. While waiting for the parade to start in downtown Indy, we decided to walk around and popped in to Command Coffee. They were in the direct path of the parade, so naturally, they were very busy. A line had formed when we arrived, but fortunately, it moved pretty quickly. Despite being slammed, the staff stayed pleasant. The space is small but offers ample seating. My husband and I both ordered a cold brew. To our surprise, our cold brews took a bit longer than expected. A couple of people who ordered espresso drinks after us got theirs first. Again, Command Coffee was super busy and we could see the staff was working hard, so it didn't really bother us. Just surprised is all. I wanted to like this place. I've been past this shop many times and finally stoped in to try and it I have to say. Meh. Got an oat milk latte. It's my go to when I try a new place. The interior was warm dark coffee shop with hints of the buildings gilded age roots. They have their politics flag on display which lets you known you're welcome here. Lots of seating. Service was a little slow with one person taking orders and making drinks. But it's after noon so it's not unexpected. My only problem is that the coffee itself wasn't great. I discovered Command Coffee listed #11 after a search of breakfast options on yelp within a radius of my hotel in downtown Indianapolis. It was then I considered, chose and ordered from this cafe which was no more than .1 miles in distance from the hotel at the time, right within Monument Circle. There was a wait due to there being only one employee working behind the counter, plus other customers ahead of me. While waiting, I immediately identified and ended up ordering the 'plant-based sausage, egg, cheese and tater tot burrito' listed on the menu that was plastered along the counter. I chose to take my order to-go since I had an early flight with limited time to dine-in onsite. Command Coffee is an ideal spot for coffee, tea, breakfast or brunch; the restaurant itself appeared clean, and the atmosphere gave off a nice calm vibe. There are several tables and seats available inside the dining area. And with it being located within Monument Circle, there is the view of the Soldiers & Sailors Monument which sits feet from the storefront. Now as for my food, the plant-based sausage, egg, cheese and tater tot burrito was beautifully presented! It was also acceptably sized. My oh my and it had a taste that made my tastebuds salivate for more, * chef's kiss *. I was deeply satisfied with it! And the sauce given with it only enhanced what already tasted good about it. If you are one that enjoys plant-based foods, I highly recommend it because you will not be let down. Command Coffee is a local coffee that has replaced what once was the a Starbucks. Highlights/Tips: +/- Time you visit, especially if there happens to be an event going on at the symphony. + They do offer mobile ordering + They do offer alternative milk options including Oat, Soy, Coconut, and Almond milk + Beside coffee, they do offer a handful of items for grab and go, but if you have any food allergies, you should look else where. + They have somewhat decent hours (5:30 am- 7:30 pm) + The setup is still the same as the Starbucks, so inside has a few high bar top chairs along the window and a handful of lower tables inside. One thing to note is that it's a tiny space, so if can get extremely tight if there's a line + people waiting for their drinks + all of the tables are taken +/- As Command is located directly on the Circle, parking can be tricky, so plan ahead and allow extra time, especially with any events/construction that causes closures. read more

We went looking for the old Starbucks and found this instead. I really like this coffee place. Immediately the waitresses were very friendly. We ordered a coffee and a pastry. The inside was nice with nice furniture and very clean. I was able to ask for the bathroom code easily and the bathroom was very clean and nice. The location is great right in monument Circle. Okay juuuust when I was about ready to give up on this place because I didn't like my first two orders, they knocked my socks off. Full disclosure - I am new to the coffee game and simply don't know what I'm doing. But I eventually told the people working what I was looking for and they hooked me up with some sort of iced, chocolatey, drink with cinnamon. It was a party in a cup. I believe the people working were named Brie, Victoria, and Destiny. They were like a lil coffee consortium. I go here every day I'm nearby for the best hot matcha latte I've ever had! They don't skimp on the matcha, which you can tell by the taste and the fact that an afternoon large cup kept me up until 2 a.m. one night but it was worth it!
