These were cut a little thick, but otherwise we liked them. Especially the grits that came around them. I ordered the Mountain Bowl because I knew I wanted grits and potatoes, but with this dish I wouldn't have to choose! I'd get both. It was absolutely delicious. Others ordered the Farmhouse Omlette and chicken & waffles. We also had mimosas which were only $3 on the Sunday brunch special! Honestly, I don't think you can really go wrong here. Service was excellent. Our waiter was friendly and hilarious. He also made good recommendations.

Same great staff, same cool space, same open kitchen where a party of one like me can grab a counter seat and watch the chefs do their thing. I've honestly always enjoyed that part of the experience. Today I had the avocado toast with feta and an egg on top, and it totally hit the spot. Earlier this week I tried one of the newer menu items -- fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, plus a sample of jalapeño cornbread and Asian slaw. Incredible comfort food. And as someone who normally isn't much of a slaw person, I was surprised by how much I loved it. They also tried to tempt me with the roast beef special, which honestly looked great, but at 10:30 in the morning I just couldn't fully commit to roast beef yet. Maybe next time. The new name is a nice tribute to the owner's mother, Arleen, but thankfully it still feels like the Milktooth so many of us have come to enjoy over the years. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been in awhile.

First it took over 10 minutes for our order to be taken while everyone seated after us was ordering drinks and food. Then we finally ordered, an espresso martini with vodka and a glass of cava with a splash of orange juice. Drinks came out... full mimosa and the espresso martini with sake, yet nobody told us they didn't have vodka until we ordered a second round. Preceded to order breakfast... waffle, slab bacon, eggs, toast, and another slab bacon. Food came, and was fine except we got the slab bacon and then some burnt to a crisp thin cut bacon. Just average at best experience, and won't be coming back. Plus add in 20% gratuity and 3% cc charge. Unfortunately we will pass.

The bread was perfectly seedy with just the right balance of crunchy and soft, and they were generous with the avocado. I especially loved the radish and pickled onions on top. Such a simple breakfast, but every bite was so good. And then there was the pistachio iced latte. YUM. I added whipped cream, which really took it to the next level. Honestly, I'm kind of glad I only discovered this place on the last day of my trip because if I had found it earlier, I probably would have had four of those lattes. Great breakfast, great coffee, and now I'm wishing I had one more morning in town!

I had the southwestern salad with buffalo chicken. It had corn and tortilla strips (which I left off), black beans, cheddar cheese, tomatoes and bleu cheese dressing. It was super fresh and very flavorful. The chicken actually had a good buffalo flavor which many claim to have but don't. We also tried the Nutella crepes with bananas, strawberries, whipped cream and Nutella. In addition to being very large, it had a great taste and was very fresh. Another hit for sure. The avocado toast with salmon was really good. The flavors were spot on and as with the other food, very fresh and well prepared. The brisket burger patty melt was also done perfectly. The brisket patty was a perfect medium and the onions were grilled just right. We opted for mayonnaise instead of the Thousand Island dressing it comes with. The other dressing may have been good but the mayo really paired well. Finally, the club sandwich was again prepared perfectly. Fresh meat, perfectly toasted bread (some places under toast and many over toast) - it was quite tasty. The French fries were fried so that they were crispy (but not overdone) on the outside but soft inside. We were very pleased with The Yolk and would definitely return if we come back to town in the future!

I walked past, looking longingly, past the next sports bar, a torta place, the hole in the wall, and towards the new apartments when my courage finally reared. I returned (luckily downhill) and passed the other bars where people were transfixed on the home opener of the pacers and nuggets. Good for them. My heart was on food and a recommendation from a friend I just met after having moved here. I walked in to the host stand at a bar and asked if I could sit; they said sure, but the bar is over there and pointed to an ante room near the kitchen. A new room, a new adventure, and the smells and music flowing out transfixed me. I found a stool, took a deep breath, and started to peruse and study the cocktail menu and constantly changing main menu. I ordered a beverage, Alex dutifully told me what was available and really just sauntered into my meal. Starting with oysters on seaweed with vinegar mignonette hit the briny taste point I needed against my drink. The roasted carrots with pomegranate and gravy were divine and hot with Cambrian chili slices. I followed that with the pricci pasta dish and the yogurt sauces mixed with the harissa lamb just sang on my taste buds. However; I did look. At the desert menu before ordering my main. Knowing how the pastry chef is acclaimed and is currently having a moment. That dessert, amazing. So fucking amazing. The custard pie was like someone figured out how to deconstruct a milk caramel, put it onto the top of a brown sugar tart that just melts in your mouth like a sugar cookie batter before it sets. This custard tart took longer to get off of my plate than the time it took me to eat the rest of my meal. I tasted each component, savored every last morsel, and shared bits with those on either side of me. Divine is not enough of an adjective with the prowess to express my gratitude. The team at the bar were not only attentive, they were my friends and helped me thoroughly enjoy my first Friday night out in a new city. They are a family and I felt a part of that for my 1.5 hour meal. 5/5 would recommend. DO NOT SKIP THIS PLACE!!!

We came by on a Tuesday around 4ish but apparently they only serve a snack menu between 4-5. We waited until closer to 5 and came back, then were seated immediately. The service was great and I loved the ambiance. There was plenty of natural lighting and it just felt calm. To drink, I ordered the redrum cocktail and it was soo good, almost just tasted like apple cider. They change the menu everyday so you don't really know what there will be until you get there (but the menu online was kinda similar to what they had). To eat, we shared the grilled bread, red leaf salad, casarecce, patatas bravas, and beef tri-tip. This might have been too much for just the two of us lol, and we probably could have done without the potatoes because they were the most meh out of everything. I think I only ate one or two. The grilled bread came with the most delicious butters (I think one was chive and one was honey cinnamon) and some olive oil with garlic, soo good. The red leaf salad was amazing. I love that they clarify the apples are jonathan apples (my favorite variety)--it was definitely one of the most perfect fall salads and I would love to try recreating it myself. The casarecce came with a pesto sauce and it tasted so fresh. The beef tri-tip was good, but nothing spectacular. For dessert, we ordered the pumpkin ice cream and omg it was amazing--might have been one of the best pumpkin ice creams I've ever had. It tasted exactly like pumpkin pie filling. We also got the croissant pudding (like bread pudding but with croissants) and it was also so delicious. Definitely don't skip on desserts if you come here because they are worth it.
