We visited on a Saturday night and I was glad we had reservations because it was packed. It is a small place so I'd make a reservation if possible. It was a cozy and bright space and I was optimistic about dinner. We were seated quickly and service was attentive. We had beers and the shrimp donuts to start followed by pad see ew and the panang curry. Everything, especially the pad see ew was delicious. We should have asked for some Thai condiments as the pad see we would have been even better with some chili vinegar.

Loved this place! The food was amazing and the service was great. Our favorite dishes were the pad thai and pad kee mao so flavorful and satisfying. The cocktails were fantastic, and the ambiance was cozy and welcoming. We'll definitely be back!

Bright interior design and still give out a homey feel ! Great service paired with yummy, fresh Thai food. We particular likes the pork belly bao and pork belly with noodles! The server was thoughtful , attentive and she checked for dietary needs.

Lovely time at Proud! The food was very very good! And service was amazing! We got the spring rolls for appetizer not pictured but it was also very good, couldn't get enough of the peanut sauce!

Proud was my favorite find in Portland. The staff was so kind and welcoming--attentive without being pushy, and genuinely happy to chat or make recommendations. The atmosphere is perfect on a rainy day: warm lighting, cozy seating, and an inviting feel that makes you want to linger. The food was the highlight, though. Every dish tasted homemade and authentic, with bold flavors and fresh ingredients. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu on my next trip to Portland.

The egg noodle bowl on the top with fried chicken and tofu was phenomenal. The chicken was similar to fish sauce wings and the tofu was very caramelized and had a nice salty coating of sauce. An order of spring rolls were also ordered, but wasn't in the photo. It was ordered with crispy pork belly. The restaurant is very open with big windows, but I liked the concept of the open kitchen look. The service was really good. The staff are friendly and the store is extremely aesthetic, the interior has this spin on modern Vietnamese style of decorations. Great interiors that's won't disappoint your date. My usual order * Uni * Ikura * Amaebi (sweet shrimp head fried, tail raw) I usually request no sauce but forgot this time. Even so, the sauce offered a soft, vibrant complement to the raw tail, though I ended up taking most of it off. Shredded daikon also pictured, a staple. Tried this visit * Crispy Rice Tuna I always like to try one item unique to each restaurant, and this was it. The rice was perfectly crisp on the outside yet still fluffy inside, topped with a generous portion of seasoned tuna. It's not really about the buzzing scene for me - It's more about getting that Ramen in my belly. This is in my top three Ramen spots, for Portland. I tried almost all of their Ramen and my favorite is the vegan TanTan with chicken. The chicken is ground and soaks up the broth well. I ordered the miso ramen yesterday and felt underwhelmed at the favors of the broth and meat. My partner ordered the shoyo ramen and agreed that it was all too bland for him. He replaced the protein for extra egg but upon biting into it, he immediately felt the shell. Huge bummer. My partner also ordered a hot green tea and it just wasn't that good. I notified the gentleman at the counter and he said he'd get us another egg, after informing him that it was "just a heads up" and we didn't want it, he still brought it. I also mentioned that we never received our pork potstickers. Another bummer since they looked pretty yummy. The gentleman then said "we have been backed up but it is right there" pointing to the food on deck. While waiting, we noticed all three orders of them were given to the larger party that arrived much later than us. I finished my ramen and we were set to go. I went up to the counter again to request a refund after waiting for the potstickers for a while, to which the gentleman said "it's literally coming up" ?? I said "we don't want to wait, the party arrived after us all got theirs." He said he gave us a refund but after watching him bring up the bill, I don't think he ever put in the order. I really think this was an off-day for them - given how highly everyone reviews it.

Had to ask one of them for chopsticks. The Tuesday special was fine, but service was incredibly bad. No greeting, no eye contact, and no interactions unless it was an answer to my request for the check. Maybe this is a takeout location primarily, and they're not used to human customers.
