Looked and sounded like a reputable company after reading some of the reviews. BUT...the representatives for this company are so impersonal they will NEVER take a phone call from you. Here's how it goes down. If you want to bother them then, "send a photo and description of your job by email or text, and we will get back to you in the order received." HUH? So much for customer service. I took pictures with my phone and then emailed AND texted to the number listed on their website. It took over a week for someone to "text" me back with a REALLY outrageous price. I was able to contact a couple other contractors and they both said that the price that was quoted by phone was incredibly high. I guess Pro Tub is too busy to do things right or call you back. I have a fiberglass bathtub that had a crack and was not useable for fear of mold growing. I called ProTub in hopes to save it. Miguel came out restored the crack and reglazed the tub. This is an update review from my previous review. After submitting my original review of 3/5 stars, the owner, Miguel contacted me right away. He stated that he really valued customer satisfaction and wanted to do anything to make me happy. He also explained to me because the business is family owned, a satisfied customer and yelp review were important to him. He gave me a couple of options: #1. To get a full or partial refund depending on how much his work is "worth" to me. This was not an option for me because I just cannot let myself do that since I would feel terrible. Option #2 was to have the project completely redone. I told him that I need to get back to him later with my decision because my husband and I were right in the middle of moving to the new place and we needed to settle in first. During that time, I found more flaws in the bath tubs with lint and dust particles embedded into the finish which I could feel under my feet when showering. I contacted him couple weeks later to let him know that I wanted to get the whole thing refinished. I texted him on July 3rd with no reply. I texted him again on july 6th And July is now coming to an end and he had not yet replied to me. I don't believe customer service is his priority. I am very disappointed with my overall experience with this place. read more

This company is outstanding. Living in Beverly Hills has a whole lot of standards to keep up with. I purchased my house on Walden drive in the 90210 area and everything was great except for one of the tubs which bummed me out. I looked up for a Tub repairing company and found ProTub Refinish!!! Miguel one of the company owners is well experienced and the work shows it. The tricky part was trying to find a reasonably priced tub re-glazer to come in when remodeling was done, but prior to install of shower doors, as we had no idea on what exact date that would be. I called a few places for quotes and ProTub gave the best pricing. They came out when they said they would be there and finished the tub in about 2 hours. They were super friendly and professional. The end product looks great and they offer a 3 year warranty. I had to have them come back out for a spot I found, because I wasn't sure if it would pose a peeling problem later. They said it would be fine, but touched it up anyway. It only took about 15 minutes. I am very happy with the end result. Would definitely recommend them. The only issue I had was everything was done through email. I couldn't get a hold of anyone over the phone, but in the end it was fine. Ok so here is my review on Miguel and ProTub refinishing First I live in Simi Valley which is a long way from where Miguel/ProTub is Second I grilled Miguel on the phone because I've had two resurfacing jobs go way south on me and the previous companies had basically a "tailgate"warranty. As long as I could see their tailgate I had a warranty Third I found Miguel on Yelp because I actually did research tub resurfacing before going for it again. He explained exactly why the other companies work had failed,that it was something he commonly dealt with,and humbly in his cool Miguel way reassured me that his prep work would prevent my tub from ever looking like this again. So with my fingers crossed I had him come out and he showed up on time,did everything he said and the finished product is beautiful. Just so you all know....I waited 7 months to do this review because the last company's work started failing at about 4 months and got steadily worse until my bathtub looked like one you would find in tenement housing. Not anymore! My tub and shower pan in my master bath looks as awesome as it did the day Miguel was finished. He even came all the way back out to my house when one little spot needed a touch up. No hassle or haggling....just happily showed up and took care of it Fourth. This guy is one of the most personable dudes I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He had nice conversations with both my wife and I and was never in too big of a hurry to hang out and talk within the realm of reason. I've been a small business owner for many years and could learn a thing or two from Miguel's work ethic, professionalism, attitude and business acumen.
