Luis got right back to me with a quote and scheduled me for the next week. Joshua came at 830 am and worked until almost 9 pm. Such a thorough job. Covered and taped absolutely everything. Chipped away old finish (none of the previous refinishers had done this) and stripped and cleaned everything. I'd also decided to do the old ugly tile of the shower. There were chips and holes in the tile which Joshua filled and sanded to perfection. Yes it took all day and into the night but having such a thorough job is absolutely worth it. When I bought my place, it came with a nasty jetted tub that was clearly neglected. I didn't have the budget to remodel, so I've kept it. But after some failed attempts at cleaning it to my satisfaction and then just DIY capping the jets to use it as a regular soaker tub, I decided it's finally time to find a professional to do an actual conversion. While my tub turned out to be a slightly bigger/more complicated project than we had initially anticipated, they pushed through it and got it done. Luis made sure to loop me in every major step of the process--watching it transform by the hour was truly fascinating. It was obvious that they knew exactly what they were doing. The team worked non-stop from 11 AM to 9 PM. Their hard work left my brand-new tub glistening in its glorious new glaze, jet-free. Luis is even scheduled to come back to provide a silicone touch-up to make sure the tub looks 100% perfect. The lifetime warranty thing is just a cherry on top. Worth every penny, IMO. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for something similar. Finding someone who specializes in jetted tub conversion in LA was quite difficult. When my husband called the owner again he was extremely annoyed, saying it was his day off with his family & he did not want to be bothered. The worker told us he hates working weekends because the owner always does that when an issue comes up. As a person who has formerly run businesses I would have to say that the owner is way out of line. If you want time off with your family then you need to not be scheduling workers on that day.
