My first and last experience with this place... August 4 2022 went to buy a helmet. After 10 min of talking to the store guy I end up buying HJC cs-r3 and when I got home I checked the prices in few other places and I had what to see... just payed almost a double the price. Same helmet goes from $90 to $115... check for your self! Lesions learned I guess Thanks Prospect Powersports for destroying my first helmet buying experience!

This Motorcycle shop used to be my favorite trustworthy place but not anymore. I've been a loyal humble. Supportive customer here for over 4 years now I was extremely disappointed in Kevin trying to Rip me off my bike plus re sell me a brand-new Kawasaki z125 for $5800 when he already knows this bike only cost and worth $3300. But that's what happen when you're too humble. Anyways I had accidentally put diesel in my bike and bought it in the shop for repair / inspection. Later I received a call from Kevin telling me that I must pay A Ridiculous $3000 Grand on a whole new fuel system/ Diagnostics, then if my bike still doesn't work, I must pay another Insane $1500 for them to go deep inside the bike for more diagnostics. I knew right there something was not clicking. So, I called Kawasaki the company and they told me that this mistake is very common and known, all I must do is flush the fuel system out, clean the tank completely and then refuel it with the right gas and I'll be all set to go. And that's what I did and now my bike is running and working good again. On top of that he was trying to get me to sell my bike for $500. Telling me that the Bike is Not good anymore. I've only put 4,780 Miles on this Bike and I've had it for over 4 years now. BEWARE BUYERS! DONOT BE SCAMMED! Always think and do your research like what I did. You also will avoid being overpriced. Its ashamed how something like this can happen even at A professional shop especially after putting in years of my trust and dedication into this shop. Aside from that I've been a big party to this store because I've gotten over 179,000 Views. But after Trying to pull this sneaky Sly Move I must say I have to change my 5-star rating and perspective. The ladies are Managers they are very nice, and I doubt they was aware of this matter but be aware when coming to this store. You can't digest and trust Everything they say (Kevin). For the Inconvenience Kawasaki send me some free parts for my Bike. Also to note He kept insisting to see My receipt Of the parts I bought from Kawasaki. People were right about this place after all. It had to take me 4 plus years to see this. If Big Bruce was still here this wouldn't had happened. Bruce was always straight up with me. This will be my final message and comment, Buyers Do your Research and if they think / see you as a newbie they will try to rip you off. Take Notes. That is exactly what Kevin was trying to do to me. He had me thinking that my bike was all Done and ruined. Then on top of it he Quoted me the words "Small Mistake Cost Me Bigger" but also "One smart thinking quickly saves me from making even a bigger disastrous mistake". What ashamed! Go with your instincts and think about it very strong if it's worth it for you or not, and if you don't like what your guts are telling you then I suggest making a call to the bike makers and explaining your matter and see if they can help you with a better easier solution because Kevin words were ("sorry there isn't anything else they can do about it but hoping you pay them triple what they trying to charge you") because that's what I did and now I am happy that I've made the right choice and didn't fall a Victim of getting scammed. On top of it I had to pay $125 more dollars for service that was not even done except the fact of dropping off my bike and receiving a call back from Kevin demanding me to pay a ridiculous $3,000 Just for a whole new fuel system / parts plus an extra $1500 over a small "Do it yourself fix" Draining All the diesel out the bike and flushing the fuel lines completely changing the Oil filter then refilling with the right gas. It's Good to Go Again. What a Big Shame/ Disappointment. The Picture Below in the red circle is Proof of ME Bringing Over 179,000 Eyes Coming here and the fact that I had to upload / Re Write This Review From 5 Rated Best Stars to 1 Is just sad. Do not do this to people it's Insanely ridiculous and dishonest. Very Unprofessional and A Letdown not only to me but to other Customers and to the store/ Management Team. Be straight forward and honest, not beating around the bush and making up ridiculous absurd prices, trying to rob customers. Because later the truth comes out. If you do go avoid Kevin, do not talk to Kevin. Talk to Mike, mike is very cool and straightforward and trustworthy. Or talk to the Managers Direct.

I had some structural damage from a tourist on a Citibike. I was lucky. My handle bar was busted and loose. I don't have a garage or workspace in my apartment, so augmentations and repairs to my scooter are not possible. So...I'd duct taped it together for the time being. Don't say it! I take my 9 yr old to and from school everyday, I ride everywhere on this thing. I can get across town on a commute taking public transport 35-40 mins in about 10 minutes. I had expected repairs to take at least 2 weeks. Probably longer as the parts got to be shipped from China or whatever. I assumed it was going to be expensive. I was not looking forward to not having my transport. At all. I walked in. It was fixed, with parts in house, in about an hour. The price tag was more than reasonable. Coffee shop downstairs while waiting. Fantastic, low key, can-do staff. They fixed the brakes (no shop at home) did a complete check. Brilliant. Honestly. I have rarely been so grateful. My boy and I got our ride back. Thanks so much. David L

If Motorcycle Works was a movie, Tom would be the bike-whisperer that the protagonist/Matt Damon…read morepartners with in order to win Daytona or rob a bank in spectacular fashion. The pre-war wood and iron exterior of his shop may appear quaint to some, but inside is a state-of-the-art mechanics paradise. A while back, I bought a 1998 R1100GS with 18K miles and right from the start I started bringing her to Motorcycle Works in Brooklyn. For the next three years Tom performed all the regular maintenance and although I ride all four seasons, not once did I experience a serious mechanical problem. It was right about the time she hit 38K miles that my mid-life crisis went into high gear, and suddenly my brain was inundated with visions of riding West with the throttle rolled, stopping only for gas until I hit the California coastline. My biggest concern was not whether I was crazy enough to do it, but whether my 14-year-old bike would hold together long enough for me to see the Pacific. I had read something about how BMW's reliability was legendary, but I also knew that the same legend becomes worthless if my mechanic overlooks the smallest detail. It's one thing to go curb-hopping around Manhattan knowing that Tom's shop is a short distance away, but this time I'd be going across the country, and I'd be traveling by myself. I informed Tom of my intentions and asked him to give the bike a solid going-over and replace anything that could become a source of trouble. I expected a litany of potential issues, but the only thing he recommended was to replace the timing belt slightly ahead of schedule as a precautionary measure. I adjusted my suspension to handle the weight of my panniers and hit the road. If you ride in NYC, you rarely find occasion to break 100mph, and if you do, it's only for 3-10 seconds. On the open road, you can do it for hours, as long as you have the right machine- and on the eve of my 2nd day of riding, I had made it all the way to Kansas City. By the afternoon of my 3rd riding day, I was enjoying the cool, Colorado Rockies. By the afternoon of my 4th day, I was feeling a warm ocean spray through my open helmet while the alternating gray, black and yellow hues of the Pacific Coast Highway raced underneath me. I made it. Over 3,500 miles and my bike never blinked once. To those one-star reviewers who found Tom's demeanor unexpected or unnecessarily harsh, you should know that I once felt Tom's condescending wrath, in person, where shortly after he began inspecting my machine for the first time, he started chastising me for letting my rear tire dip eight pounds below the recommended pressure. Once I got over my own ego, I understood immediately that on a car, this results in a slight understeer or poor gas mileage. On a motorbike, a lack of adequate tire pressure means that your sidewall could fold in the middle of a turn. I'm grateful that Tom is a great mechanic. Perhaps I should be more grateful that his safety tips, and especially the manner in which he delivered them, were f*cking unforgettable.
