It went to 300 dollars a month for about a year with no other options given. We used a tiny space of the unit but that didn't matter to them. They didn't negotiate any other options, toys remained in the until maybe worth 300 when we were charged 300 for a year month after month. I would never give them business or recommend business again. What started out as a compassionate business quickly gave us the cold shoulder. Just sad.

I had my things in my first unit for about 6 months, and then I rented a second unit for my…read morefurniture for about 3 months. Some things I was not happy with were that the "climate control" was on the warm side. When I got my furniture out some of the off-white pieces had darkened and discolored, I assume from the heat and humidity. Also, some items with glue or adhesive were damaged. I don't know what temperature the building is supposed to be kept at, but it wasn't cool enough. When I rented my first unit there was a trash can in the lobby area where the elevator is, but eventually that disappeared. The dumpster is also inaccessible to customers. There is a restroom by one of the elevators, but every time I tried to use it, it was locked. If vagrants getting in the building and using the restroom is a problem, then why not require the doors to be opened by codes all the time, not just at night, or put a key code on the restroom door? That way paying customers are not inconvenienced too. I was driving about an hour to get to the storage business, so a restroom would have been very helpful after a long drive. Many times when I came to put something in or get something out of storage during the week, the same car was parked right in front of the doors to the elevator. I never saw anyone getting in or out of the car while I was there, so I can only assume it was an employee's car. There is not a shortage of parking, so why park in a spot that is going to cause an inconvenience to customers? If I ever need to rent a storage unit again I'm not so sure that I will go with Big Tex again. They are pricey for what you get.

The floors are well lit and the security in the building is impressive. The location is easy to get to and there is ample parking. There are plenty of dollies available for you to unload and load your belongings. The building is climate controlled and kept at a comfortable temperature. There are maps on each floor to help you find your unit. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a storage unit that is clean and in a building that is well-managed in the Museum District. .

One of the managers, Mitch, even offered to help bandage my arm (see photo) when I got a pretty nasty cut while moving some stuff into my unit. The cut was pretty bad. A lot of blood. I think a lot of folks would have let me handle on my own, but he insisted on helping and was very nice about it. Now every time I see him he asks how my arm is doing (all healed now w/ a nice scar as a reminder to be more careful!). Connie is very nice and helpful too! Don't hesitate if you're looking for storage in the museum district or near the med center. This is the place!! You are the targets slated for non-rental even when they have your money. These people are liars and vessels implanted to oppress a certain population.

I ended up renting the unit the same day so I could get the exact unit I wanted because the system didnt allow me to reserve that specific unit for some reason. Overall great place to rent a storage unit if youre looking for one! It's month to month so as long as you notify them 24 hours before the day of the charge they won't charge you the following months rent. Super easy.

This facility is not climate controlled, I have a thermostat in one of my units and it reads 82*. Most of the cameras have been removed. They no longer treat for pests and there is no maintenance. They have removed majority of the cameras around the facility. Each unit, no matter the size, cannot have over $5,000. total of worth in their unit. If u do it's not covered. We lost our conference room, coffee bar and the great employees that made Amazing Spaces a great place. The new owners are a bunch of suits who are only there to make money. I was told today that rent will go up every so many months. Read their contract it's all in the contract. I have a lot of units here and I'm looking for a new facility to move to. I had a lot of friends here and most have moved out. My rent has gone up $200. since July. This place is a rip off and don't do it you will regret it!!!!

He was friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in, explained everything clearly too. We could see the security TVs behind him, and that's great knowing that this place is secure! Kevin offered to take us to the unit and show it to us, and made sure we understood how the lock and gate worked. He made a generally annoying task very easy! He never hesitated when asked a question - this man knows his stuff! If you need a storage unit, this would be the place to go!

She's extremely helpful and attentive, has helped me and my sister navigate consolidation of units based on size needs and is just always is willing to help no matter how frustrated I become from the parent company. She always smiles, is friendly with my son (he's 8) when he comes in with me, and waves everytime she sees us arrive. I maintain that price increases are random, happen as frequently as quarterly, and are huge jumps. This is my 6th year here. The "pests," has never happened again and the facility has been maintained.

My movers had propped the door open and apparently the "manager" came and told them to keep it closed. So then I stood at the door to open and close it because it automatically locks. I literally had the door open for less than 30 seconds to allow the movers to get in and out and she comes out screaming "I told you to keep the door closed". I told her I didn't appreciate her attitude and asked for her supervisor. She said "I am my supervisor." It's a storage building. Do they expect stuff to magically come and go without opening the doors? :-D Had to call customer service to report her. Maybe I'll get a call back from the regional mgr but this lady picked the wrong bitch to mess with cause I'm not going to stop until she's out of a job. Avoid this location unless you want to deal with her. This is clearly a pattern with her (Hanna) if you read some of the other reviews on Google.
