We found PSS at the San Diego County Fair and I'm glad we did. Having 2 large dogs, our fragile screen door didn't stand a chance. When we saw their booth at the fair, we realized that was exactly what we needed. I gave them a call a couple weeks later to schedule a consultation. They came and took measurements and sent me a quote with a 5 week lead time on a front screen and back slider with doggie door. We went ahead and put in the 50% deposit to get the doors ordered. After 5 weeks, I gave them a call to check on the status, but due to back orders they were a couple weeks behind. We finally got our doors installed and they were awesome with one small exception - the doggie door closure was on the outside, not the inside. After a quick call to the sales guy, I scheduled another appointment a week later to have it reversed so that the doggie door locks from the inside. Now that it is installed properly, it is perfect and exactly what we needed. The 10 year warranty also makes this a great value! read more

Progressive was a great find. Todd Hakanson and team were very knowledgeable and helpful, even making sure ours was installed just before we left for a trip. The screen door has a nice, clean look... you would never know it's as impenetrable as it is. Looking from inside or outside, it looks like a normal screen -- good visibility through it -- but when you look up close, it's a million micro-holes in heavy grade metal. We are Pleasantly please with PSS's Quality and craftsmanship. We were looking for a security screen that we could feel save with and that would not take away the look of our front door. This security screen door looks like a regular screen door but is metal mesh (Crimsafe). From start to finish PSS stayed in contact with us. It took a total of about 6 weeks from measure to install. Not bad at all for such a great project and great craftsmanship. We choose to have it installed on the outer part of our entry and not right on the door. My husband had to cut some of our rock façade in order for the frame to attach to the house securely, which he reinstalled after the screen was installed. All Of the installers were professional and detail oriented. They cleaned up afterwards and keep us informed the Entire time. They took there time at the job to insure it was done correctly. We appreciate that. We will be contacting them to do more doors and windows in our home. We highly recommended PSS to our neighbor's family and friends. read more

I initially ordered two doors from Progressive Security Screens because I didn't want to cover the decorative windows with traditional security doors. I have four other plain doors where I had planned to install traditional (much cheaper) security doors, but after a couple months I was so happy with the Progressive doors I decided to spend the additional (significant) extra money to get Progressive doors for the other four doors. The most recent installer, Juve, and the original installer were both professional and efficient and thoroughly cleaned the area. I had been told the locks would match the existing doors. When I pointed out that they didn't match someone from the office dropped off the correct locks and Juve had them installed before he wrapped up. All the doors were delivered on the promised timeline, service was excellent, and I like the look, fit, and feel of the doors. I highly recommend them if you can afford the added expense. read more

Earlier in the year, we got most of our windows & half of the sliding glass door covered. We liked the look & the ease of opening & closing th screens. They felt solid as we tried pulling them off. We were very happy with what we got but regretted not covering all our windows. We also started to hear the rise of residential burglaries where the intruders broke the sliding glass door. We decided to get the rest other windows & the other half of the sliding door covered too. Even though the threshold is thicker, we are very happy with both sides covered. We also have a dog. Our dogs (1 passed away) tore up MANY screens. Our dog has scratched the screen MANY times & the screen looks untouched. We're very happy with the screens. Oscar was our sale rep. We like how easy it was to talk with him, that he respectful, and was not a pushy sales guy. We also got a quote from another reputable company but the sales rep was condescending which turned me off to put it mildly.
