He helped us arrive at a suitable energy-efficient Simonton models to replace 5 of our windows at a reasonable price. He also measured all the windows to be replaced and promptly provided a written quote. Three of our replacements were for original 30+ year-old single-hung windows which were no longer functional because their balances had failed. The replacement Simonton windows have a better design that obviates the need for such balances, which was of added value to me! The total window order, measured and made to order, was received by JWG within 3 weeks and installed within 1 week. JWG Windows arrived just minutes before the scheduled time for installation. We were fortunate to have a second installation crew (Alex and Ricky) join the first crew (EJ and Cody) during the installation process, which allowed the entire job to be done within 2.5 hours. These two teams operated smoothly together in good spirits, were respectful of our property (using drop cloths in each work area) and cleaned up the work areas. After they were installed, EJ demonstrated the windows' operating features, provided me with the manufacturer's warranty and answered my questions. The installation was quick, neat and attractive. About a month or two later, some of the insultation foam started to ooze out. Pelican responded immediately and remedied the problem. Based on this experience, I contracted with Pelican earlier this year to replace the remainder of my windows and all my sliding doors. The contracting process was smooth and the windows were ready in about four weeks. When it came time to install, Pelican arrived on time with four people. Every day of the installation (six total), there were at least four workers present. As before, they were neat, efficient and quick. Evan Wright, the owner, stopped by three times to make sure work was progressing appropriately. He even spent most of one day at the house supervision installation of a segmented kitchen bay window, which was tricky given the design and the existing granite countertop. While all of the crew members were great, Jorge, the boss was wonderful. He made sure to solicit our input as needed and kept us fully advised. I have recommended Pelican to others and they have reported the same experience. Pelican has my unqualified recommendation.

First - I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of the way Pelican handled the scheduling of the install - or rather, bungled. The crew arrived at my home this morning just after 8:00 am with no warning at all. Surprise! It turns out their scheduler sent an email July 18 with notice of intent to install to a fancifully incorrect email address. And, when they received no response from me (and why would they?), no one at Pelican deemed it prudent to follow up with a phone call. Fire and forget? 2 stars. The process to set this up was painless. Their sales/frontman (Isael) paid 2 visits, took careful measurements, explained my options and was a total professional. Not the least bit pushy. 5 stars. OK - on to the install. In a word - slick. The 3-man crew was efficient and from what I can tell (pics attached) did a very nice job removing the old, and installing the new. Again, very professional and respectful of my home, its contents, and my time. No fuss, no muss. The whole process for 6 windows was over and done in 4 hours. Again, 5 stars. The end result - no more drafty louvered windows, replaced with energy efficient, double glazed, argon gas filled windows. I'm pleased with the result, and recommend Pelican as a first stop when shopping for replacement windows.

I decided it was time to replace nine of our original house screens that were basically broken down and allowed flying insects into the house. We also needed a new "cat proof" patio screen door. Alex was our installer and precisely measured all nine of our windows that needed new screens. He was very polite and professional. A quote via email came a few days later from "John". Note that John was a previous owner so the identity of the person you communicate with via email is unknown. I NOTICED a typo for one of the windows being ordered and notified "John" via email that there was an error. "John" denied there was an ordering issue but in the event there was an error his team would fix it for no additional cost. - Wow, isn't that nice of them. Installation was a few week later because we had a custom screen order. And surprise surprise the mistake I originally noted from the quote had to be fixed and redone. So, had to wait another week for a new one to be built.. This is a small business and you'll have to deal with little issues like I had. But in the end you'll get perfectly fit screen windows and doors. Alex the installer did a great job. A few notes: * Everything was sold to the new owner including old business cards, email account and yelp account. * John's screens is two doors down from the original owners who now own a window cleaning business.
