Take your money elsewhere. We paid extra to have pet-resistant screens installed throughout our home, expecting them to hold up better than standard screens. Unfortunately, our sliding door screen was dislodged at the bottom corner almost immediately by our cat. When I called to ask about warranty coverage or possible solutions, the customer service experience was disappointing. The woman I spoke with was rude, laughed at my concern, and told me that no one had ever asked about this before. Rather than offering any assistance or discussing options, she stated that they would have to charge us to come out and look at it. I understand that not every issue is covered under warranty, but I expected better customer service and a more professional response, especially after spending extra money on a product marketed as pet-resistant. Based on both the product performance and the customer service experience, I would not recommend this company. read more

Earlier, LG did several window screens for us, and we were satisfied with the products. Then, Dallas and Rubin came to our residence to do measurements for replacing 9-10 glass windows/panels/doors. They had hands-on experience and advised us what windows should or should not be replaced. We accepted their price quote believing it to be reasonable. Three weeks later the two workers came back with the products and did the replacement. They were professional and knew exactly what to do and did so efficiently. We ordered a large mirror for our bathroom. Dallas came out to measure. I was so impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. To start, he called me to say he was stuck in traffic and would be late for our appointment. Hardly anyone is so respectful of time anymore so I was impressed before he even arrived! Dallas explained exactly what he would need to do to get the mirror to fit perfectly in our space. Price was a little more than another quote I received but I wanted to give my money to a local company. Mirror was ready in a reasonable amount of time. Dallas came back out to install. He had to make some adjustments given our walls and ceiling are not plumb. Within a short time, the mirror was installed perfectly and it looks amazing. I ordered glass shelves with a card board template I made to make sure the shelves fit in my cabinet. Leucadia glass cut them to perfection! I had just spent countless hours refinishing an antique mirror frame only to discover I'd scratched the original glass pretty bad with my sander it was an odd size to replace, and I found one that was only a few inches too long at Lowe's, but they wouldn't cut it for me! When my father passed away 30+ years ago, one of the things that reminds me of him is his old Chelsea deck clock. My dad was in the Navy and this deck clock was "acquired" somewhere during the time he served. I never heard the story behind the clock, but he always made sure it was hung in our kitchen. The clock moved from house to house with us and I never gave it much thought. Still trying to find the story of the clock, like what ship it was on, etc. Anyway, this clock is now on my desk and is a constant reminder of my dad. You have to wind it up ever 3-5 days to keep it running and while that sounds like a hassle, it makes me think of him. About a month ago the glass face of the clock fell off my. Desk when I was winding it up. Chelsea Clocks requires you to send the clock in and it costs about $60 all told. I really didn't want to ship the clock away, but wanted to replace the glass. I went to TimeKeepers (also a great little business) and the immediately pointed me to Leucadia Glass. Called them up, got a quote ($20), and my clock had a new glass face in 48 hours! Besides turning the clock around so fast, the people there were SO nice. The asked me about the clock, listened to why this meant so much to me. It's great to be fast and accurate and reasonable. I am giving a shout out to Ruben at Leucadia Glass.they replaced a French window with double pane glass which had clouds in between the panes during the rains recently, there ere leaks from that window and no other window, leading me to believe it was the new window replacement. Ruben came over that day, inspected everything and discovered it was as a result of the "bulb gasket" and vinyl gasket, both of which were missing from that window frame. Although not the in his job description, and not something that Leucadia provides, he took the time to open the corresponding window, video what he was talking about, and videoing the problem one so I could get replacements by show-and-tell and not sound like an idiot. Ruben would take no money for his time (about an hour). I like to spread the word about nice things that nice people do! read more

Wow. Just had a completely bizarre interaction with the company owner who, as another reviewer stated, is very arrogant and unprofessional. We have a broken window and need it replaced. The guy that came out to do the estimate was very nice and helpful and said we can expect the quote in a day or so. Three days go by and the owner calls and tells me the price and expected me to pay him the deposit right then. I said ok everything sounds fine so go ahead and send me the written estimate and we'll take care of the deposit. He said they "aren't doing written estimates right now" because the girl that does this is out on medical leave. Um, what? I questioned if anyone else could provide me with a written estimate and he refused. He, as he's done in reviews below, referenced their "50 years in business" and said a receipt would be just as good as an estimate. Actually sir, it is not. Look, they may have been in business for 50 years but the practices of this company are not in line with construction standards. It's a normal expectation to receive an estimate for an installation of a window or anything else in your home. Just use caution and watch out for this owner...he was a bit much. He should also review the CA state contractors laws surrounding contracts. He stated they were licensed so he should understand industry regulations. read more
