My family has used Leucadia Glass for years and has always received excellent service. Most recently, I brought them an unusual window problem with my VW Eurovan--something they don't typically handle--and they were extremely willing to help and quickly resolved it. As always, friendly, professional, and dependable service. Highly recommend Leucadia Glass! read more

Highly recommend Leucadia Glass in the heart of Encinitas on the 101! We've used them for two custom shower doors and recently brought in our kitchen cabinet frames when our supplier didn't offer glass inserts. They created absolutely stunning custom glass doors -- total transformation! Friendly staff, beautiful craftsmanship, and quick turnaround. Love supporting such a great local business! read more

Take your money elsewhere. We paid extra to have pet-resistant screens installed throughout our home, expecting them to hold up better than standard screens. Unfortunately, our sliding door screen was dislodged at the bottom corner almost immediately by our cat. When I called to ask about warranty coverage or possible solutions, the customer service experience was disappointing. The woman I spoke with was rude, laughed at my concern, and told me that no one had ever asked about this before. Rather than offering any assistance or discussing options, she stated that they would have to charge us to come out and look at it. I understand that not every issue is covered under warranty, but I expected better customer service and a more professional response, especially after spending extra money on a product marketed as pet-resistant. Based on both the product performance and the customer service experience, I would not recommend this company. read more

Earlier, LG did several window screens for us, and we were satisfied with the products. Then, Dallas and Rubin came to our residence to do measurements for replacing 9-10 glass windows/panels/doors. They had hands-on experience and advised us what windows should or should not be replaced. We accepted their price quote believing it to be reasonable. Three weeks later the two workers came back with the products and did the replacement. They were professional and knew exactly what to do and did so efficiently. They were friendly and gave us additional advice. Great workers! read more

We ordered a large mirror for our bathroom. Dallas came out to measure. I was so impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. To start, he called me to say he was stuck in traffic and would be late for our appointment. Hardly anyone is so respectful of time anymore so I was impressed before he even arrived! Dallas explained exactly what he would need to do to get the mirror to fit perfectly in our space. Price was a little more than another quote I received but I wanted to give my money to a local company. Mirror was ready in a reasonable amount of time. Dallas came back out to install. He had to make some adjustments given our walls and ceiling are not plumb. Within a short time, the mirror was installed perfectly and it looks amazing. Excellent customer service from Dallas! read more

I had a glass window replaced, which was hit by a baseball. Ruben from Leucadia glass was available the same day I called for a quote and measurements and was very attentive to all my questions. The whole process of putting a new tempered glass into my door was very smooth and quick. He took out carefully the broken window and put in a new one. Ruben did an outstanding job- very clean and professional. I highly recommend their company. Truly exceptional. Price point is very reasonable. Thank you! read more

I had a broken window replaced at Leucadia Glass. I dropped off the broken window in the morning, and it was repaired by the end of the day. The staff were friendly, and the widow was as good as new for a great price. read more

They're always reasonably priced, great quality and with a rapid turn around. I've used them for many years.

I ordered glass shelves with a card board template I made to make sure the shelves fit in my cabinet. Leucadia glass cut them to perfection! Spencer at Leucadia glass hand cut them to absolute perfection plus they were finished earlier than promised. I ordered another shelf over the phone without a cardboard template and it was perfection again!!! I put shelving my antique cabinet off for too long because other glass shops cost so much. Leucadia's prices make sense and made a return customer out of me! ( found out my friends already cone here) read more

I had just spent countless hours refinishing an antique mirror frame only to discover I'd scratched the original glass pretty bad with my sander it was an odd size to replace, and I found one that was only a few inches too long at Lowe's, but they wouldn't cut it for me! I took it to Leucadia Glass the next day and Spencer cut it to the correct dimensions in less than 5 mins and only charged me $10! They were all so nice too, I would definitely come here again! read more

I stopped in last week to order 2 pieces of glass for our business. One was a replacement for a broken piece and I brought it with me so they could use it as a template. The other was for the top of a piece of furniture and I just had dimensions. Both pieces were ready for pick-up later that day! Amazing turn around and good customer service - they helped me get the pieces in/out of my car. And for a good price too. I was very pleased and will use them again for custom jobs we need to have done. read more

When my father passed away 30+ years ago, one of the things that reminds me of him is his old Chelsea deck clock. My dad was in the Navy and this deck clock was "acquired" somewhere during the time he served. I never heard the story behind the clock, but he always made sure it was hung in our kitchen. The clock moved from house to house with us and I never gave it much thought. Still trying to find the story of the clock, like what ship it was on, etc. Anyway, this clock is now on my desk and is a constant reminder of my dad. You have to wind it up ever 3-5 days to keep it running and while that sounds like a hassle, it makes me think of him. About a month ago the glass face of the clock fell off my. Desk when I was winding it up. Chelsea Clocks requires you to send the clock in and it costs about $60 all told. I really didn't want to ship the clock away, but wanted to replace the glass. I went to TimeKeepers (also a great little business) and the immediately pointed me to Leucadia Glass. Called them up, got a quote ($20), and my clock had a new glass face in 48 hours! Besides turning the clock around so fast, the people there were SO nice. The asked me about the clock, listened to why this meant so much to me. It's great to be fast and accurate and reasonable. It's even better when you provide genuine customer service. Thanks for helping me fix this priceless keepsake! read more

They came out same day to evaluate my needs. Prompt, professional and easy to deal with. A gem in our neighborhood.

Fantastic experience upgrading our master bedroom en-suite shower glass. Timely arrival for measuring and installation with really pleasant people. Ruben and his associate installed the shower surround glass and we're very careful and precise with the installation process. Everything came out beautifully! VERY happy with the resulting upgrade. I don't usually add negative reviews! I had nice experience with a rep her name wa Bri. Great service. Than a couple of weeks later I stopped in to place my order!!! No Bri, but an Angry! Cannot say enough good things about Kurt from Leucadia Glass. He came out to evaluate a very old double hung window that would no longer stay closed. It was a mess that defied my handyman's efforts and a lot of tradesmen would have immediately switched into sales mode. Kurt quietly and efficiently puzzled over it, then got it working again. I'm both impressed and grateful. read more

Amazing. I had an emergency situation with a double hung window that fell and was stuck behind the bottom window. I was concerned about the security of an exposed open window. Within 2 hours someone came by to evaluate the situation. Although I needed to call the manufacturer, the fact that they came by to try and help, same day, was fantastic! read more

Everyone at Leucadia Glass was knowledgeable and professional. They were realistic about their timelines, which has been especially important during this period of supply chain issues. We needed quite a few pieces of custom glass for a walk-in shower rebuild, and everything from scheduling an initial appointment, to measuring, to installing went very smoothly, and their quality of work was phenomenal. We will definitely use them again for any future glass projects, and we HIGHLY recommend them! read more

Great service , several past jobs and a small job today. Friendly , awesome neighborhood store. Support this family business!

This is the fourth job I have used this business for. First to make a small repair of mirrored furniture that broke during moving; second to change my kitchen cabinet glass from frosted to clear and to have custom made mirror glass for the back of the cabinets and lastly mirrored glass for a guest room wall and to make a tempered glass tabletop for a wood table. This is a family business and they are all so nice! They give friendly and helpful for my DIY projects are quick and their prices can't be beat. Great business! read more

I had a very unique but also very sentimental project that I brought to Spencer and the Leucadia Glass team. Spencer was able to provide not just insight and information on what would work best but celebrated with me when (based on his help) I was able to get the base of this mirror put together so that they could finish off the piece. I am so pleased and grateful that Spencer took the time to work with me. I would definitely recommend their services. read more

I am giving a shout out to Ruben at Leucadia Glass.they replaced a French window with double pane glass which had clouds in between the panes during the rains recently, there ere leaks from that window and no other window, leading me to believe it was the new window replacement. Ruben came over that day, inspected everything and discovered it was as a result of the "bulb gasket" and vinyl gasket, both of which were missing from that window frame. Although not the in his job description, and not something that Leucadia provides, he took the time to open the corresponding window, video what he was talking about, and videoing the problem one so I could get replacements by show-and-tell and not sound like an idiot. Ruben would take no money for his time (about an hour). I like to spread the word about nice things that nice people do! read more

One of the few longtime local businesses remaining in town. Was having some replacement glass cut for a picture. Leucadia Glass responded quickly to my email. I went into location just to make sure my measurements were correct, and they were very friendly and able to provide and cut my glass immediately at a great price. Spencer (grandson of original owner!) did a great job and took less than five minutes start to finish. Thank you, Leucadia Glass! read more

I had a french door break, and I started out with another glass shop. After two weeks of getting nowhere, I gave up and started over with Leucadia Glass. I was delighted with their service. I called them on a Monday, they came out and measured on Tuesday and the door was installed on Thursday. Four days from start to finish. And they did a great job. Ruben was our installer and he was pleasant and professional. I will definitely use them again! read more

Wow. Just had a completely bizarre interaction with the company owner who, as another reviewer stated, is very arrogant and unprofessional. We have a broken window and need it replaced. The guy that came out to do the estimate was very nice and helpful and said we can expect the quote in a day or so. Three days go by and the owner calls and tells me the price and expected me to pay him the deposit right then. I said ok everything sounds fine so go ahead and send me the written estimate and we'll take care of the deposit. He said they "aren't doing written estimates right now" because the girl that does this is out on medical leave. Um, what? I questioned if anyone else could provide me with a written estimate and he refused. He, as he's done in reviews below, referenced their "50 years in business" and said a receipt would be just as good as an estimate. Actually sir, it is not. Look, they may have been in business for 50 years but the practices of this company are not in line with construction standards. It's a normal expectation to receive an estimate for an installation of a window or anything else in your home. Just use caution and watch out for this owner...he was a bit much. He should also review the CA state contractors laws surrounding contracts. He stated they were licensed so he should understand industry regulations. read more

Amazing customer service! Really nice people who care, even if it is just about offering a bandaid!
