Most of the places wouldn't repair just the glass or they had a minimum requirements i.e. a three window minimum. I called Kyles Glass for a bid on two glass jobs and information about a potential for more. Between his bids and the reviews he was an easy choice to make and I couldn't be more pleased. Especially, concerning the replacement for my son's (cracked) bedroom sliding glass window. Kyle suggested tempered glass for more safety and since my son has autism it was a great idea. The frame had a slight dent in it making it a tight fit and when he attempted to do the replacement in my driveway (needed to be done same day) the tempered glass broke. No problem, he cleaned up the mess and replaced it at no additional cost (of course). doing a nice job of mitigating the tight fit issue. He also went going beyond the scope of the job and adjusted my window sill (the bottom part of the window frame the window slides on) so it slide easier and finished with making the slash lock easier to maneuver. The second job involved replacing a garden window's main glass that had become extremely cloudy due to a seal leak. Kyle took his time and was even able to reuse the casing (molding) that went around the outside of the window. He had cautioned me it might not be possible as 30 year old molding can be brittle. Every time I look out that window now I send a thank you out to him. It is so beautiful and clear! *****+ again Another note of appreciation is that he offered to add (safety) clips to my bathrooms mirrors until I made a decision on replacing them. He did not ask for an additional for this. I just worked with Kyle's Glass to replace one very large window upstairs and repair two windows downstairs and remove four huge mirrors out of the bathrooms in my house. Kyle is very responsive as well as Christina. His wife, who manages the office and got this done within just about a week and a half Did not have to break the mirrors to get them out of the house. He was so skilled at removing them that they didn't break and he was able to install that huge new window upstairs. That's 5' x 8' totally on his own and did a great job, cleaned up well and took care of it very quickly, I interviewed four different glass or window companies and Kyles was the best he did windows and glass replacement also which I found out that many companies do not do both. Got 3 quotes to replace several windows in our new home. I chose Kyle not only because of price but because of his no BS approach. I had all 3 companies check all of my windows, we have 36 windows on our home, and Kyle was the only one that talked me out of doing several windows the others said should be done. AAAAA+++ We bought our house with a cracked window in the upstairs master bath, and never got around to fixing it. Finally, I just couldn't stand it anymore! The skylight windows were old, one was cracked, and the laminate was starting to peel off in places. It was just an ugly site in an otherwise nice master bath. (Check out my before & after shots to see for yourself!) I looked online and found Kyle's Glass. In my initial call, Traci was friendly and helpful on the phone, and set up our first appointment for a free estimate. Shawn & Robby arrived to check things out and get measurements, and to help us decide on the color of the tint. Then Kyle came out to re-check everything, including the height issues. Once we decided to go ahead, the team came out, and put up scaffolding in our patio below. On install day, Shawn and Robby (both cool & competent guys) arrived with our new window panels, ready to replace them. Surprising to us, it took them only about 2 1/2 hours from start to finish! They did an excellent job, even with our Shelties barking in the background and our Sulcatta African tortoise walking back and forth under the scaffolding. (They didn't even flinch; in fact, they found it entertaining!) The photos make it clear that changing out the windows made 'a world of difference' in the look of our master bath! I no longer have to apologize for the cracked window pane, and the room looks better and cleaner already. We highly recommend Kyle, Traci, Shawn and Robby--the staff we worked with at Kyle's Glass. Around December 2020 I wanted a quote for some mirrors to be put in for a karate studio. I called and was in contact with Kyle (who appeared awesome). However he said my receptionist would get back to me with a quote. I called two more times within a reasonable amount of time to give them some leeway to get back to me and never heard back. The receptionist said "Im busy and will write it up/email it to you later." Still ....crickets....So I called yesterday February 27, 2021to see if he could remove and relocate the ones that i had to buy from themirrorcompany.com and the receptionist who must really be unhappy in her job just sounds miserable and said that's not true and she had sent me the email awhile ago on December 21, 2020. I checked all my spam and every inch of email....I really didn't get anything. I know it doesn't sound important; an email but we are talking thousands of dollars that may have been saved if she only sent it to me. So she sent me a forwarded email from December 21. 2020. I believe her name is Christina. I will tell everyone to steer clear of this business due to customer service. My mirrors were still a great deal at the mirror company. I used Kyle's Glass 10 years ago and Kyle was so amazing (both price and service) that I kept his number so I could use him again. Fast forward to today, I called to try to get an estimate and the lady that answered the phone was a rude and didn't seem to want my business. I asked some pretty basic questions based on recommendations from the California licensing board and was given answers contrary to what the licensing board permits. When I informed the lady about this and asked if she would revisit that policy to comply with licensing rules, her response was "I dont care if Kyle could lose his license, Kyle doesn't care either." I asked if I could potentially talk to Kyle and her response was "probably not for several days until he has office time" and "you should probably call around to get other quotes." Unfortunately, Kyle has now lost my business and I will be going to another vendor to get my windows taken care of. Shame, I really did like Kyle. I hope Kyle reads this and reaches out, I'd gladly inform him of what his receptionist is saying that could put him out of business by losing him his license. read more
