All of their technicians have been very competent and reliable, but I am especially pleased with Zach, who has been caring for my pool for well over a year. Each season brigs its own challenges with falling leaves, buds, and wind, but by the time Zach leaves it looks picture perfect. He is also good with any equipment malfunction. I utilized this company for an one time service because I already have a pool service but they were excellent! The reason I called for their service was because I had my house painted and there was a windstorm accompanied by rain and a lot of debris ended up floating in the pool and also stuck at the bottom. I tried cleaning it myself but paint gunk and little paper pieces are frustrating to clean with the net and I don't have that much patience. The girl who answered the phone and called back to answer questions was upbeat and pleasant. The guy who serviced the pool was very informative AND he did an excellent job. First, I want to mention that Justin, the owner is a pleasure to work with. He has always seemed honest and reliable. Unfortunately, he's not the one running the office or ordering parts. The problem I have with this pool company is that the office staff seems to have communication problems with their employees and customers. I ordered a pool cover BEFORE Labor Day, and it is now June 30. I was told the pool cover would be ordered and completed a while ago...still waiting. This honestly wouldn't be such an issue for me if the office staff bothered to call to update me on their delay. In addition to this issue, they took two and a half weeks to fix a small issue with a broken part because they forgot to order the part that we needed. Their unprofessional behavior has been really frustrating and I am now on the lookout for another pool company. read more

Professional Pools is just that - TOTALLY PROFESSIONAL! They are the best pool service we have ever hired and we have owned our pool for over 30 years - so that is saying a lot! They keep our pool sparkling clean, they have excellent customer service (they actually pick up the phone when you call), they come out right away if I need something and the list goes on. I never have to worry, especially when I'm entertaining, if my pool is going to be cleaned or not. It looks fabulous all the time! Additionally, they service my hot tub and now it is sparkling clean too (I thought I could do it myself but somehow the days would go by and it would look too murky to get in - and after all, I bought it to USE it, right?). Once something broke in our hot tub while we were on vacation. They came out right away and fixed everything. And they are so reasonable! I've been with this company for about 4 years now. Justin and Korie are amazing owners who work hard for their customers. The first 2 to 2 1/2 years I gave them a 4.5 rating. In late 2017 and 2018 I think they felt some major growing pain; including finding great employees both out in the field and in the office. This period definitely reflected on their reviews. In mid to late 2018 to current, I've seen an improvement; we have a regular tech, pool is sparkling, just got a reminder call that our booster pump is leaking.. greatly appreciated the heads up. They will be out to fix it. Since we are back on track with good service I am not ready to give them a 4 or 5 just yet - would have give a 3.5 if I could have. read more

We used professional pool service for about 5 years. Good in the beginning horrible at the end, which was almost comical. Apparently they don't appreciate loyal costumers? Whats also obviously apparent, is they don't understand that there are many other pool cleaning services to choose from in the area, who provide a higher quality service at a cheaper price. I reported this guy to the contract license board but unfortunately they can not prove that he did any thing wrong(because I sign the invoice). They can not fault him for his work ethics. I instead wrote Better BB. They told the board that they are willing fix the leak for free and capped off the pipe (sloppy job and no regard for safety) They still has not contacted me to do that. I closed the case because they has cost me so much stressed that I had been in AFIB while dealing with them. I also left multiple voice messages for March service refund that I never got. I paid $120 beginning of March they came 1 out 4 times. Cory told me it would be refunded never recieved. Again my point is, what they wrote and told the board were never done. I have not heard from Justin since I agreed and close down the complaint. KARMA is all I hope for now. On positive note I learn to not be so trusting and next time will definitely get more opinions. We have been with them since 2015. See, my husband gave them 5 stars back then (scroll down). But beginning late last year, their technicians have been slacking off. I don't know what happened. We have been getting new ones who can't follow simple instructions of using the side door to access the pool. Also some excuses are they called in sick (i totally understand it, i do it too esp for my child) but we have the $100 monthly pool service where they visit once a week. If i a technician is sick one day, there is 4 more days, 8 hours/shift to send another one right? Isn't that the "professional way"? So we let it pass and it got windy, the fire happened. Horrible times. So the missed cleaning and scrubbing piled more dirt and debris. Guess what? The pool log said they came but the pool looked untouched. (We have security cameras all over the house btw, its like freaking 7/11 here, that's what my husband used to do for x amount yrs, so we can see if they actually clean the pool) Turns out they just change the chemicals and do not clean the leaves and scrub. We have been getting the $50 service instead of $100. Roscoe my husband called the office several times and Korie (very nice!!) she read him what the technician "reported" to do and THEN ALL THE WORK ORDER CAME. Do this do that.. we probably threw away $700-1000 give or take for the last 3-4 mos with them. But still our pool is not clear. The last straw is another $400 work order just to assess and see if there is a blockage to clear the pipe of the filter... You know what, I told my husband enough is enough. The new techs are all about money and recommendation and now we have a problem with our pump. Just to be fair our pump is old but still working. The old technician with a curly hair who always wears a cap (sorry i am poor with names and my husband is usually in charge with these kind of things, I only pay) I talked to him before asking if our pumps bad enough to be replaced? Same year actually but earlier.. you know what he said? In time, but its still working. He said, just make sure that the canister that's attached to our kreepy krauly is always empty, scrub the algea and that will take care of it. I tell you guys our pool are crystal clear with him being the tech. Now, the amazing part is we haven't been getting our pool maintained (still traumatized by this company) OUR POOL IS FREAKING CLEAR with debris that can be removed. It has been 2 mos since we left this company btw. It looks clearer compare to when the slacker techs are coming in. I don't know about you guys but I believe in Karma. I really do. Korie and Justin are super nice and accommodating but this kind of service will ruin their business. They need to hire better techs or idk make sure they are PROFESSIONAL and honest techs. Anyway, wish us luck looking for another cleaning service. We need a quote for a new pump too that can repair the damage Prof service did. If you are a pool service company contact me. We don't mind paying monthly again but we need a fresh start. God has given us this pool for a reason and its blessing. I called the office and spoke to Kori regarding an issue I was having with my pool cleaner. She was very helpful over the phone in assisting me to diagnose the problem. When I was unable to do what she was instructing me to do, she sent over service manager Leroy in a timely manner and he was able to resolve my issue. I'll give Professional Pool Service 5 stars. They are very professional indeed! Justin transformed our pool/backyard into something I never even envisioned. Our old pool/ backyard area used to be the most boring place of the house. Now we just wanna hang out here and have guests and enjoy the relaxing and calming sound of water flowing. PPS tore the whole pool, installed new surface (pebble tech), coping stones and tiles, a new high tech led light that changes into different colors,then built me a deck and an outdoor shower. O, and the sheer descents (waterfalls) are heavenly! They also sealed the whole existing surrounding of my pool and installed deck-o-seal to make it look more nicer and clean. These people are one of the honest and nicest people I've met. They will do the extra mile to make the customer happy. I also had them do my pool cleaning service to maintain my pool's cleanliness and the balance of the chemicals. They are doing a great job! Justin answers my questions and returns my calls anytime I have some concerns. I will highly recommend them to anyone who wants a simple pool maintenance, to a total make-over renovation. Our pool pump finally gave up and it was time to invest in a new one. It is the holidays and having this extra expense on our holiday budget was definitely not something we wanted. Either way, we knew we had to get a new pump, pronto, to keep the water circulating and the sweeper picking up the leaves that were beginning to settle into the bottom of our pool, through the winter. Otherwise, we knew more pool issues and further expenses would arise if we didn't get this fixed quick. Given their reviews on Yelp, we called Professional Pool Service first. Unfortunately, the person I spoke to said that due to the holidays, their schedule was booked up until the New year. So I called another pool company who was able to come out and diagnose my pump, same day. That pool company came and checked the pool water, diagnosed my pump and said that I will need a new pump. I paid $90 for that diagnosis and they only took check or cash. They then e-mailed me our pump installation options to which they did not offer to waive the diagnosis fee if we did choose to proceed with them for installation. I checked model numbers of the pumps they listed and researched how much the pumps were, alone. Comparing the prices of the pumps, alone, against the quotes they sent me, the difference for the installation was just way too much for us. He then tried to sell me other services to which we just did not have the budget for. At this point, we're already $90 down...I was torn, because I didn't know if I should just proceed with this company or wait to get a second opinion from Profession Pool Service. I took the evening to reread all of the Yelp reviews from both Professional Pool Sevice and this other company whom I've already paid $90 to. Professional Pool Service, just had really convincing reviews, so we took a chance, went to their website and filled out our contact information, leaving a detailed message about our situation in the 'message' section of their contact info page. The next day, Korie e-mailed me back and said she would be able to fit us into their busy schedule. Given the opportunity, I booked the appointment for a diagnosis/consulation. Since we were already considering purchasing variable speed pumps, I called Korie, on the phone, directly to get more information on the IntelliPro/Flo pump systems. Korie was super helpful and was able to answer all of my questions about the pump, how it's installed, and even quoted me how much it would cost. She even told that if we do proceed with their services that they WOULD waive their $90 diagnosis fee. Already, I estimated that I would save a good amount of money going through them, even after already losing $90 to the other company, for the same exact pump. It was a no-brainer, I knew Professional Pool Service was the right company to resolve my needs that wouldn't burn through my wallet. On the day of the appointment, I met Justin, the owner. Justin was great! He diagnosed my pump, talked to me about my solar heating system and possible upgrades we could save up for in the future. His consultation that day was free knowing that I was going to proceed with getting our new pump installed through them. At the end of the appointment he still took the time to test our pool water's chem levels. Soon after the appointment, the e-mail for the pump to be installed came in with the same quoted costs we discussed verbally and I immediately 'accepted' the job. Justin's pool service techs were able to install the pump 2 days later (today). I re-met Leroy (we had mutual friends growing up in Fairfield) and I met Steven. They both were very helpful in letting me ask any questions I had and observe the installation process so that I understood what they were doing. After installation, Steven went through a bit of the programming with me so that I knew how to modify and schedule the variable speeds. He set up a baseline schedule for me so that I would be good to go for the winter. As I am writing this, the pump has been successfully installed and has been running for 2 hours now. I think choosing to go with a variable speed pump was definitely the right choice, but the services and the reasonable prices on installing this pump, to me, is what mattered the most, as it would to any customer. Through this experience, I'm glad we waited and took that chance with Professional Pool Service. They will be our 'go to' for any future pool service needs. Great Job!!! If I could possibly give a lower rating it would be in the negative numbers. They did a pool inspection for a prospective buyer. Everything he wrote was a recommendation hoping someone would spend the over $7000 he was asking for. What I found amusing was the diving board was in fair condition. Funny thing is there has never been a diving board. So now I know why Swim Chem does not only my house but every house on the street except one. I am having Swim Chem do an inspection since they have serviced the pool for the last 15 years. sad they are so sad read more

Unfortunately, we inherited Professional Pool Service from the previous owners of the house we bought. I can say that there is nothing professional about this company. After one of their employees advised us of some issues with our pool from the previous owners, a lengthy negotiation transpired. This pool service was tasked to do the repair. The pool was leaking at an alarming rate and after two cancellations to fix the pool they finally showed up, identified the issue and started the repair. Once the repair was complete all seemed well. I continued their service and noticed they sometimes would show up and sometimes they would not. All recorded on the service performed sticker on the side of the electrical box to the pumps. After a filter cleaning, the pool starting leaking again, in the middle of the summer heat wave. I notified Justin, the owner, of a potential leak/failure of the repair they did as the level was drastically reducing overnight and there was no pressure in the lines to run the pool pumps. Requesting them to immediately address the situation, Justin advised me it would be up to two weeks before they could come out. I had to go the the local hardware store and buy plugs to stop the flow of water out my return lines to the pool. After numerous calls over two weeks, Justin arrived, confirmed their repair failed and reluctantly repaired on their dime. The pool was dirty and showing signs of algae. I requested they clean the pool as a result of their repair failure and it took over two weeks for them to get the repair done all the meantime I could not use my pool pump. Justin would not cover the cleaning. To me, your repair fails, you take over two weeks to fix and you couldn't clean the pool when you were done, now that was very shocking from a pool service that has professional in its name. I then received a quote for a filter repair and filter cleaning service shortly after, submitted by Justin. When I called Korie to ask why this service was necessary since I already paid for a filter cleaning a month before their repair failed, she advised me Justin noted the repair needed and the filters needed cleaning, I advised the debris in the pool was a result of their failed repair and their delay in rectifying the issue. I also advised Korie the service repair Justin put in was not necessary as it is a $3 dollar part and their quote was ridiculously high. After failed attempts to service my pool weekly, I finally cancelled the service. I spoke to Korie, paid the last invoice and advised her to have Justin call me as I was contesting the final bill as they only showed up for half the month. Fast forward for 3 months and I get a collection for the 1/2 invoice. I contacted Korie via email and advised her Justin never returned my messages left to his phone and or when I called the office multiple times. I never got a monthly request to pay the service either. For an owner not to contact a customer for issues caused by their employees and themselves is unacceptable. My suggestion to potential customers or current, find another pool service. My suggestion to Justin, change the business name to Unprofessional Pool Service! read more

I was a customer for several years. The service just continued to decline over that period. I had full service, which was supposed to include brushing the walls down and cleaning the robotic vacuum. They seldom did it, I regularly had to call to complain. Every time I called, they would deny whatever I told them. They repaired tiles for me once...the tile came off within months, and it took me multiple calls to get them to admit it was the same tile they replaced (despite having pictures). The office staff is the worst, especially the office manager. She never seems to be able to address any problems, always argues when you call with an issue and is rude, not to mention rarely actually taking care of the problem. When they repaired my pool, they received the wrong (and sub-par) materials, but decided to use them anyway (I found out accidentally after they installed them). Called for service one time and couldn't get helped because the service manager was away on yet another fishing trip in the middle of summer. Totally crooked and lazy. read more

I tried to setup a winter cleaning/opening & regular monthly service. They were booked out for several weeks which I was fine waiting. I understood warm months were approaching so I patiently waited the 3 weeks for my scheduled technician to come out for the estimate. The tech arrived on time for my scheduled appt. on a Wednesday morning. He said someone would call me to schedule the cleaning & quoted me a price estimate. Friday morning, I called to get an update. The woman, quite rude, told me the office manager handles the schedule and there was a work order but that she'd call me back. "Probably Tuesday". Monday was a holiday. Tuesday came/went, Wednesday came/went. I called again Thursday morning but nobody answered. I then called another local pool company. He came out that same afternoon, gave me a quote and began working the next day. Not only was I willing to pay for the clean up but also their $120 monthly fee for full maintenance. I guess Professional Pool Svc didn't need another new customer. Ironically, a tech showed up unannounced or scheduled. I told him I wasn't interested in him doing any service & why & that I already had another company doing the work. read more

Although I didn't meet Justin, my father, who is also a local business owner, met with him concerning a clog in my pool's filtering system. Justin was honest and ended up giving my father a suggestion that saved me hundreds in costly repairs. My dad used his advice and we fixed the problem ourselves within minutes. My dad isn't easy to impress, but he felt like the owner Justin was honest and very knowledgable! I look forward to contracting professional pool services to help me maintain my pool because I am clueless! Not sure what's happened with this company. Had them for over a 1 yr for weekly service. Cancelled service this June (mid-month) because: 1. they didn't fix what they charged me for on my pump 2. they didn't place me on email notification so I would know exactly what they did each week because I had doubts (brush???, my chemical levels???,) which they'd promised several times but couldn't seem to follow thru with 3. took pool vac for repair & 2 wks later it was still gone, so when I called to inquire Korie found it sitting in their warehouse but nothing had been done to it & no one notified me. Those are only the most recent problems. I called several times trying to get things back on track but it didn't pan out. I have spoken to Korie & other office staff. Always super polite but nothing is behind that curtain. I absolutely feel I deserve a refund for services paid for but not received. However, they have gone dark on me. The greatest pool service I've ever received. I've gone threw quite of bit of pool services and not one has met the expectations as they have. I work nights and travel a bit so it's hard to get a hold of me and they are so reliable and easy to contact. Simply just a text. They've accommodated my payments as times got tuff with me when I was injured and not working. They leave me extra supplies if I need any or ask. Over all just take care of you and your pool. Each and every employee I've met. Completely respectful, outgoing and mainly hard working. My pool is perfect. I live in the country so it's hard to do so and they manage it!!! I completely recomend them to all pool owners. Specially as summers right around the corner. I wouldn't chose anyone else. These people are not just people who care for my pool.
