Menu selections midday are not much. I've eaten dinner here and it was better. Seems like they may be understaffed...server never refilled two entirely empty drink...had to request...then when she refilled one...why didn't she ask the person next to me? Rookie mistake, now she had to go back...food was fine...server didn't know what came with a kids meal, so when it was incomplete, she had to go back ...again...shame through the pandemic, service as the business rebounds is new...not very experienced. I am going to be completely honest, I am not a huge fan of the downtown Riverside nightlife. I would never pay a cover for any of the Riverside "nightclubs" or bars, because I usually never have a good time out there. The fact that the promoters for this club allowed for my girls and I to enter for free and avoid the $10-$15 cover charge thrilled me. My favorite thing about this club is that there is SEATING. I go to other venues and have to suffer for long hours standing in my heels, but Proabition is one of the only places where you do not have to pay for seating! I love the DJs who [play, the drinks are reasonably priced, and there is room to dance. Sometimes it feels like you are not in Riverside anymore, but in some club in Las Vegas. I am deducting one star because the cover charges can be RIDICULOUS!! But other than that it is a fantastic venue to go out in Riverside. I have also come for Sunday brunch with my friends and I have also high ratings for it. Food is a little pricey, but it is delicious. The bottomless mimosa prices are very reasonable too. I would definitely come back here for both brunch and clubbing. read more

I went here with my husband and I was so excited. We had a reservation but we waited more than 10 minutes to be seated. I don't understand why have a reservation if you won't be seated at reservation time. Any way the music was fun, upbeat the mimosa was good. I ordered French toast with potatoes, eggs and bacon as sides. It was a lot of food. I loved it. But my bacon had a black hair on it. The manager was on sight so I told him. His remark was "Pigs have hair" "I tell all the customers animals have hair so you will get some hair on your plate". We laughed at his remark. To me this is very weird. Why would he say that. I understand pig have hair but black? This was human hair on my food. He tried to offer me a fresh plate I said no. I didn't want anymore bacon. The issue was not resolved. Like it never happened. Last month we attended the Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn and were looking for a place to grab dinner and drinks. With so many options on Yelp, we opted for this place based on the reviews and they delicious looking food. Considering how busy it was, we were seated fairly quick. Our server was super friendly, she brought our drinks orders pretty fast. They offer live entertainment which was amazing, unfortunately we were seated to close to the gentleman singing and it was too loud for us to enjoy our company. The server was quick to move us to the other side of the restaurant which was nice of her. The food came out quick and was pretty delicious and our drinks were perfectly made. If you don't want to read my full review tldr: 2 stars from rude demeaning staff but good ambiance and drinks. I wanted to go here for my birthday dinner but wasn't able to due to a large (100 ppl) party. I had booked online and needed to increase the party size, but when I called the host said there was nothing he could do. Which was fine. When I told him "I get it, it's okay thank you for your help" he replied with "get what? What do you get?" Okayyyy. Now the night of my birthday dinner we ending up going there anyway for a couple of drinks around 10pm (my party was now 5) and was met by the rudest bouncer. I had stepped to the side to dig my wallet out of my purse and he kept saying MA'AM I NEED YOUR ID, when I was clearly digging in my purse to get said ID. Then he said to get the hair out of my ears and show him my ID. Bruh. After that while checking everyone else's he made rude remarks about every single person there for no reason. They were all sober, patiently waiting in line. Finally get in and the DJ was okay at best- catering to whatever was left of the big party I'm assuming. The music was so loud I felt like I was screaming. The bartenders were really nice. Drinks were good- strong but didn't taste like I was taking a shot. There was a outdoor area with heat lamps we were able to sit under and at least enjoy the rest of our night. All in all, I would maybe go back and try their brunch but I will never go back in the evening. read more

Upon first arrival this bar was very lively and appealing. I came with a friend just to order a few drinks at the bar around noon on a Saturday. Upon looking at the menu many of the signature cocktails ranged from $12-15. I ordered a lemon drop which was not on the menu. The drink came with a white orchid in it. Nice presentation, but I think that's what I paid for this cocktail was $19! It was prepared with Tito's vodka not a high premium vodka. I ask for the manager at the time to explain why this drink was ridiculously priced he claimed it was made with a 1 1/2 pour of vodka! If single drinks are being sold for that amount they should be published on their drink menu with prices included. I definitely will not be patronizing this over priced bar! read more

Lol it's a lot but here we go. We went on Saturday May 11th btw. The only thing good about this place is the drinks. Me and my bf requested a song, DJ said he would play it after two songs. 3 or 4 songs go by and he still wouldn't play our request so my bf went to go ask again and even offered the bitch ass DJ 50$ to just play the ONE SONG we wanted to listen to. Mind you the club was dead so clearly we weren't the only ones unhappy with his little music choices. Next thing u know everything just went left, we had maybe 4 or 5 "bouncers" coming to kick us out. As we were being escorted out the DJ was telling us to go home on his microphone as if we weren't more than pleased to after being in his ghost town of a club. He needs to humble himself bc after all you're a DJ in Riverside acting like he's making more than we were willing to pay him an hour for one song. Now let me get back to the "bouncers" as we were being escorted out one of the bouncers tried to grab me so I swung at him. Keep your hands to yourself. Especially bc I was never refusing to leave throughout this whole time so no need to try and grab me when you're like 250 pounds and I'm a petite woman cooperating. DJ shouldn't agree to play a request if he didn't want to, he should of just told us no and we would of left it at that. Also 4 or 5 "bouncers" weren't needed to kick me and my bf out but then again they had nothing else to do so maybe that was the most exciting part of their shift that day. I'm not quite sure. As for the place I've been for their brunch and for dinner and we're both amazing! It's perfectt for a birthday or graduation celebration. I actually celebrated my birthday with my friends here and then also had all my family here after my graduation! They have bottomless mimosas AND bloody Mary's with a full bar with awesome drink choices. There truly is something for everyone! Definitely a hidden gem in Riverside! Love this place oooo also! I waved one of the managers and told him about it, his manager answer was " oh it's because we have the doors open" really dude, that's your management answer. We all know fruit flies are due to unhygienic areas. Just go back and continue doing nothing like you were all night, the other manager on staff was busy catering to his girlfriend at the bar, 2 managers on site the bathrooms were dirty, the fruit flies were ridiculous. Have been here a few times now over the last couple years. The few folks behind the bar are top-notch, service-plus individuals. They know how to make a nice Old Fashioned, are willing to modify upon request, and are some of the friendliest I've seen. Walking by you might think it is mainly a whiskey bar given the name of the place, but I will say the food is sneaky good here. I most recently had the salmon and it was terrific. Well cooked, very flavorful with a nice chimichurri sauce on top. Mashed potatoes were better than most, and the grilled asparagus paired well. Prices are reasonable for what you're getting. I went to havè a $150 dinner. Waitress told me i can stay for DJ n bar since i dine in after 10:pm. I decided to stay. After i ordered a drink at the bar. One of the security came to KICK ME OUT from the bar and said i have to go and make a line to pay a cover. I explained the Waitress told me o can be there since i dine in. Guy was very rude and he didn't care. I went to talk to the mamagar owner and he was rude too and explained due to COVID-19 THEY HABR restrictions. They need to train their staff. I came to ProAbition when it first opened and lived in Riverside. It's been about 3 years since I was last in town. I was there recently with a group to see the Festival of Lights and I suggested we eat here. Let's just say I felt sooo embarrassed I suggested this place. We were here for 2.5hrs, and not b/c we were having a jolly good time. It came down to the service was HORRIBLY SLOW. Food and Drinks were ok but not worth the 2.5hr wait. What went wrong: 1st ordered the blue cheese fries through the yelp voucher. The fries took awhile and we were already really hungry walking in. The fries came out and they were cold and stale. It took forever for our waitress to come back and take it. 2nd our server was just slow. drinks took forever, water refill took forever. When the fries came out they gave us 2 for the inconvenience. One basket was perfect the other was still a little cold but we ate it. 3rd the wait continued. We think the server forgot to put our order in b/c the manager came to our table and apologized and ordered a round of drinks for everyone. 4th the table that came after us got their food. At that point we were about to lose it. FINALLY the food came out. But hey guess what? those round of drinks from the manager we ordered before the food didn't come until we were done eating!! Finally we were done and ready to go. We were seated at 8pm we left at 1030pm. Any appetizer you select will be excellent! But you need to try the Brussels sprouts! The patio area is perfect to relax with a mule and take in the view. The servers were friendly and ready to help us explore the menu. It can be daunting to select the right item so sharing with them your taste and preference is always best. My fiancé made reservations for us here for Valentine's Day. We showed up at our reservation time and the hostess said she didn't have our reservation saved and that they should've charged us $30 to hold our spot. She says she can seat us anyways. After we sit, the waitress lets us know that the hostess should've told us that they are only serving a specific menu tonight, they have a 90 minute time limit, and you can't only buy drinks- you have to purchase the $65 (per person) 3 course meal they had on the menu. We let her know that we had only come for drinks and appetizers and that we would only be having drinks and she said that was fine since we weren't told before we were sat. After we got our drinks, we waited about 20 minutes for our waitress to give us our check which we eventually just had to track her down ourselves. Terrible service at this place. We had a reservation yet still waited 40 minutes past our reservation to get sat. Our server was very absent and constantly kept forgetting our orders. We ordered 3 shots and it took 30 minutes for us to receive them, after she kept bringing the wrong drinks..... how do you mess up a shot?? She did apologize a lot, so that was nice. We barely saw her the whole night and just sat at the table with no drinks or food, and when we did get the drinks, some were missing because she claimed she never put them in. The food was very good, however. We had to request the check 3 times, and once again waited a good 20-30 minutes for her to drop it off. The worst part is, our party was 6 people so auto gratuity applied. It was 20% auto gratuity and additional 3% service fee for every entree. Auto gratuity of 20% is unusual, it's usually 18% but I would have been okay with that if the service was good. I left very upset, will never go back simply because of the service. Definitely ruined the experience. I would recommend sitting at the bar to enjoy the ambiance. read more
