The new drinks are not good at all and the bar seems really unorganized. Was hoping for a better selection of tequila. For such an "upscale place" they really lack in cocktails and spirits across the board...whiskey bars are old news. The bartenders and server seemed stressed out. The new bar manager seems clueless and doesn't even speak English which is weird considering the clientele here. Not sure what happened while they were closed but I overheard that a lot of people are planning on walking out because there is no leadership or organization which is kind of obvious if you just watch and listen. The scallops were pretty good though I will give them that. Overall the place seems like it got a cosmetic lift but the bones are falling apart. Service was amazing, music was great and not too loud. The Dj was some nice eye candy. Sometimes the music is so loud you cannot carry a conversation over brunch. I got chilaquiles and the steak medium rare but it was well done. Dry and cold as was the eggs. The tortillas were soggy but dry. I usually get this and it's sooo so good. This time it was not. Everything else was delicious. Just make sure if you get the steak you make sure it's not dry. One thing that made the experience not a total loss for me was the drinks and the server. Came for Easter brunch and still had to wait even with a reservation. Carbonation from soda fountain was nonexistent so our server said she would get it changed and our drinks came out disgusting and flat again. Service was mediocre and food took a while to come out even though the restaurant wasn't crowded. Once the food arrived it was cold and there was hair in one entree and the waffles were hard. The food was fairly mediocre. The atmosphere is kind of cool. It would be a good place to grab a drink. Skip dinner. The one exception was my wife scallops, which were well priced and was delicious. my chicken linguine Alfredo was extremely mediocre. My daughters steak tacos were mediocre. But worse, they provided a silverware which was dirty. Several of the utensils were dirty and not clean. Obviously no one is looking at them when they come out the dishwasher. Equally worse, they tack on a, 5% service fee, which is just a way to jack up prices with hidden fees and is really kind of annoying. I was so disappointed after 90 minutes a big guy came to our table and said your time is up time to go people are outside waiting for a table ladies. I said no one told us it was a 90 minute time limit. He said yes they did l was there when they told you. What liar unbelievable!! At the point l didn't want to have an argument with this guy if someone told me there was a 90 minute limit l would have left and went to the salted Pig where they know how to treat their customers. I really wanted to like this restaurant. The atmosphere and vibe is unique and classy so I expected the food to be tasty as well. The waiter was friendly; however, he messed up our order right off the bat. My table was discussing what appetizers we wanted and he took it upon himself to bring us an appetizer we did not directly order through him. We were having a side conversation about chicken wings and it was brought out. If that was the only thing that happened then it wouldn't have been a big deal. What led me to write this review was the quality of their tomahawk. My friend and I ordered one to share, and it honestly tasted like char and the grill. It's as if the chef didn't scrape off the old grease. The grill was so hot that it over cooked the outside of the tomahawk - it was charred and the inside was rare (we ordered medium well). I asked the waiter for some sauce to make it better and he brought out some gravy (eew). At that point I was a little annoyed. A tomahawk is pretty pricey. There is no reason to pay that much for a steak that isn't made well. I've had really good tomahawk from other restaurants where I can eat it off the plate with zero extra seasoning. The GM ended up comping us the tomahawk and brought us a ribeye (I asked for that instead of wasting another tomahawk) and it was still charred. In the end, the calculations for the tip on the receipt was also off. I brought it to the attention of the waiter and he tried asking why we were altering our tip amount. I don't like to be "THAT" person when it comes to restaurants and customer service, but that night was a little ridiculous. We sat inside and the music was extremely loud and it took the waitress almost 30 mins to come and take our drink order. Once we put our drink orders in it took another 30 mins for us to get our drinks, when the table who was sat after us and ordered after us received their drinks within 10 mins. Once we finally ordered food it was mediocre and definitely not worth the price. Plus they also forgot to bring one of our friends food completely and we had to ask twice where her plate was and it took another 30 mins for her to get it!! Service was just horrible, food is way over priced and they automatically add tip to your bill so no wonder the waitresses don't have any incentive to provide good service, they already know they will be tipped. It wasn't Fleming's or Morton's level, and coffee refills were somewhat slow, but we weren't neglected and the gal was friendly enough. Ambience: NO. NO. NO. Totally missed the mark on the brunch vibe. While the outdoor seating is lovely with patio heaters and passerby's, the whole mood is off by the blaring of club style music. It is Sunday. It is mid-morning. People are chatting and enjoying their brunch yet the DJ (Yes. Notice I said a DJ is present at brunch) is playing music like it's Friday night at 1130 pm!! LOUD, LOUD mixes of Big Pun, Drake anything you'd expect to be dancing to; AT A CLUB. AT NIGHT. As my boyfriend says the classiest place in the area. All jokes aside I do really like it here and it's "dog friendly". The wait is like any in posh spot; 30 min to 60 min on a Sunday. Our poor waiter was sweating and trying to keep up. Seems the same with the person managing the guests checking it. Food is great and it's def a party atmosphere. Most girls that that came up to me about my dog were pretty swasted. But they were happy swasted. There's also a couple brunch places if you walk down further but they were pretty jam packed as well. By the time we got to order they were sadly out of tacos! to my friends disappointment.
