Food was way too overpriced for the quality. Small portions and no flavor. If the food quality was higher then I could understand the pricing to match. But you could get way better food at the mission inn for about the same price with the downtown ambiance. All the doors were open and it still smelled inside. Toilet leak?!? Called at 11am to make a brunch reservation, lady on the phone said the only available spot was 3pm. Arrived at 2:50 to be told the kitchen is closed until 4pm, which is when dinner service starts and that brunch ended in 8minutes... why would we be offered a 3pm reservation when brunch ended at 3?? The hostess was talking to another hostess, then when I said I was meeting my party there, for our reservation, the hostess told me to just go inside and find them when I thought she should have walked me. The waitress came to our table and said what's wrong? We had no idea what she was talking about. I had to asked twice for my drink, she forgot it and was annoyed she forgot it. I asked for the whisky list and she again was completely annoyed. The food was fine, not what I remembered. Three times someone came to our table to clear our plates when we were clearly still eating. My husband's old fashion tasted like they mixed incorrect alcohol. My husbands salmon was extremely salty and my ribeye tacos were dry, spicy, and thrown in the plate. For $400 I'd recommend finding a different place to spend money that has service will at least match most other restaurants. Not sure who to leave this review for as the information lack of good business seems to have been on both organizations. I reserved a table for 2 since the local radio station as well as proAbition advertised live music. My husband and I were on time and seated quickly . The radio station advertised that they'd be there at 7. ProAbition also was under the impression they'd be there at 7. They didn't show up until 9! But that isn't why I gave ProAbition 2 stars. First, I ordered a whiskey flight and our waitress didn't have any idea which whiskey was which. She was not very helpful when I asked if there was a spicy drink on the menu or what was good. In fact she was horrible. She literally left in the middle of me asking questions about the menu and seemed very annoyed that we weren't sure what to order yet. I asked about the "Kfrog dinner specials" AS ADVERTISED ON PROABITIONS PAGE, not KFrogs and was told, as if I was asking for the number 2, "we don't do dinner specials here". Really nice place, loved the music and atmosphere. We ordered the fried mushrooms and blue cheese tots. Loved both. Main meal was Chile like chicken had great flavor, seafood linguini was ok, but have had better. Our server was excellent. Only weird thing was you had to show your bill to prove you paid more than $30 to get valet for $4 verses $8. In the end the valet still charged us $8 when we spent over $150 in the restaurant. Steaks were very good and tender but potatoes lacked flavor and I think there were 2 asparagus on my plate. The service was terrible! As they seated us they immediately got our drink order but then we didn't see anyone for a half an hour before they took our food order. Took awhile to come out. Our steaks were hot but but the rest was cold. We had planned to stay there after our dinner for drinks but as I mentioned service was not good. However there was a group of younger 20 something year olds next to us who were there only to drink and had no problem getting the staff's attention and the drinks coming. We tried this place while at the Festival of Lights. To start off we had the wings and green salad...amazing. I had the Mahi Mahi and my wife had the fish and chips. All the food was delicious and tasty. The service was on point and our waitress Gianna was so helpful and friendly. I recommend this place for a perfect dining experience. On a Sunday, came with my husband and our daughter, her guy and our 2 1/2 yr old granddaughter. They didn't have a booster seat only high chairs however they gave her pillows to sit on. For checking in on yelp, you get a free french fry appetizer that has Bleu cheese and and cheesy sirrachia sauce. I had the salmon, great salad included. Super yummy, buttery. Daug g terrible had the fish and chips... whole fish! Hubby had the garden pasta it was supreme. We had excellent service from ashley, very attentive and knowledgeable on the food and drinks. This place has lost its way. Last few times in it's been a dreary drab place with no energy. No one talks to the customers, food is over cooked and bland. I usually don't like to leave reviews but this place made a lasting impression on me. The location and the restaurant itself is beautiful and has plenty of parking spaces in the area. Me and my friends are total foodies and I have to say that this place blew us away!! Luke was our server and he was very knowledgeable and knows his way around the menu. This is my second visit to ProAbition and unfortunately I left unsatisfied with a two-person bill of more than $100, including a 20% tip. As would be expected with a speakeasy themed joint, the drinks were good and as we were there during happy hour they sell a good moscow mule for $8. In total we had one MM and three beers between us. The service was decent, although my wife commented that the hostess didn't appear to want to be there. The server was attentive and the food came out promptly. We ordered the ahi tuna appetizer which was pretty good except it was quite salty, even for a salt lover such as myself. Also, the tuna was not as high of grade as the ahi we had recently at a local chain fish house, which wasn't entirely unexpected. A few pieces were a bit chewy as if they had some connective tissue. Overall the flavor of the appetizer was to my liking. My concern was our dinners. My wife got the street tacos and I got the heart attack burger. The street tacos are technically an appetizer and they come as four decent-sized beef street style tacos. They were okay flavor wise but the meat was more chewy than I would've expected at the price point. I tried one and did not finish it. Overall only three of the four were consumed by the end of the meal. My real beef, pun intended, was with the $18 burger. They claim it is made with Kobe beef; I've had waygu steaks and 'kobe' burgers before and this did not taste to me anything like that. I'm sure part of the issue was that I had ordered it medium and received a burger on the far side of well done. Somehow, even with the patty having been cremated, the cheese still was not melted on top. Also, considering how dry the patty was, the bun was soaked by the time I was halfway finished. I ended up abandoning the bun and picking at what I could. One more thing, I must have missed it on the description but it was topped with half a hot dog, pinned to the bun with a toothpick. The hot dog was nearly as chewy as shoe leather so it was sent to the trash can with the rest of my burger and the fourth taco. All in all, my recommendation is to skip the food and come for the drinks and entertainment. The beer is reasonably priced and the whisky selection is top notch. Also, last time we were there they had some amazing live music and the club was fun later on in the night. That was pre-COVID of course. read more

We came here last night with a reservation. When we checked in, the three girls at the front said they weren't taking reservations, despite the reservation having been made via Yelp. They agreed to do the right thing and honor the reservation, but only after many eye rolls and telling us how we were lucky they just opened. We walked into the dining room with the big screen and the first thing we noticed was the horrible smell. Think burning a seriously strong cinammon/holiday scented candle to cover up the smell of sewage. I almost left. But we sat down and waited. And waited. And waited at least 10 or 15 minutes to have our drink order taken. It was another 10 minutes before we got our 3 mixed drinks, but were still missing a bottle of beer. It took my friend getting up after 15 minutes, going to the bar, finding it on the bar and telling bartender we were waiting for it. The place wasn't busy at 4:45pm, but you would have thought they were slammed. Our server acted like it was a big inconvenience to take our order. It took at least 25 minutes to get our appetizers, which were eventually brought out with our dinners. I ordered the flat iron steak, which was not flat and so raw I couldn't cut it. The potatoes were good, but that's all I could eat. My friends seemed to enjoy the airline chicken, burger and the Asian wings. All in all, very disappointing dinner experience. From the "hostesses" out front with their terrible attitudes, to the horrible service, to my inedible meal. I will not be back and would not recommend it to anyone. read more

Bar staff extremely friendly, attentive and great service. The restaurant part was good. Got the tater tots as appetizer and they were delicious! (Tip: check in on yelp and get free tater tots! Well worth it) We got the smoked house burgers and they were good, but very messy. Good portion. Garlic fries that it came with were amazing. Someone in our party ordered the chocolate cake and it was extremely dry so they sent it back. My only issue is the drinks are overpriced, long wait for the food and the bill issue. Website said you could split the check 2-3 ways per table but we were told had to be only one bill. We were a party of 10 so they rushed us at the end to pay because they were setting up for the night club part. Our waiter was Pepe and he was fun. Overall it was something new to try but doubt I will return until prices or the whole bill policy changes. read more

I would put ZERO stars if I could. I came here last night with my friends for my best friends birthday and upon entering they said they would hold my best friends keys for her because she had a pepper spray on them so she couldn't bring them inside. When we were leaving we were informed that they GAVE AWAY her keys to someone else "on accident". I'm not doubting that it was accidental but the fact that there is no system ensuring that mistakes like this do not happen is purely unprofessional and honestly just down right STUPID. Rightfully so, my best friend was frustrated and instead of offering some sort of help or compensation for their mistakes, the security guards verbally assaulted us and even STEPPED UP to my best friend informing her that he is "not the one to play with" all while the manager we requested to speak to WATCHED! The short blonde woman working in the front is quite literally useless and couldn't even maintain a conversation without being defensive and denying that it was her fault for giving away my best friends keys. This incident is truly disappointing and I'm sure it has either happened before or will happen in the future if they don't replace the literal idiots they have working/managing the place. I don't recommend coming here unless you want to risk not having a way home at the end of the night because their only solution to our problem was "getting an Uber". Literally idiotic and disrespectful to women. We were a group of 21 year old girls they were disregarding the safety of and offering ZERO assistance to. Nice club! read more

Taking into consideration this restaurant had to adjust to mainly outdoor dining, and they are probably trying to accommodate as many patrons as possible, I was still very disappointed in our experience last night. They took our temperatures and immediately sat us, which seemed promising. The table was a good six feet from the couple next to us, which was great. Then halfway through our meal, they sat a party of four between us and the party next to us. Since we were eating we didn't have our masks on, but the table next to us immediately unmasked when they sat down. The man on the bench next to my boyfriend was maybe a foot from his shoulder. We were both surprised that they would wedge four people into that spot, so we asked the waiter about their seating protocols. He asked if they took our temperature (?) and then offered to move us to another table, equally close to another couple. At that point we had been there 25 minutes and felt super uncomfortable, so we left. On the way out I asked the hostess about their seating rules and she told me that there were "different social distancing requirements for outside dining." I looked it up on the state, county and city Covid pages and found no exemption for mitigating six feet of social distancing (with NO masks) in outdoor places of dining. This is totally the reason that we will be back at Purple level soon and businesses will be closed once more. If not for risking my life, I would have given them 4 stars for slow but reasonable service and a delicious espresso creme brûlée (that I didn't get to finish). The host got scolded by the manager when they passed by which seems to be because of the table switch. I Over heard them when they passed by. The whole time none of the servers, bartenders, hosts, or bussers were smiling. Seems like a very uptight management - I personally wouldn't want to work at a place where I'm just making money. Walked over from Mission hotel and there was 3 couple's in front of me to check in (no reservations), I checked in with hostess at front while she was training a new employee gave my name and phone number I was told it would be 15 to 20 minute wait, walked over to bench across the street to wait. 30min later noticed couples gone and new guests had arrived and walking in, I approached hostess (new) she stated that my name wasn't in the system, then (old) hostess stated that something happened and my name was dropped out of system... So while be seated waitress checked on couple next to me but never took a drink order or even greeted me, finally took order but so quick to get back to input station to pull out cell phone and text, I ran into a security person I knew that was working there and he had to get the butter, syrup and cranberry juice that I wanted.... when time to pay bill she takes card and tried to set up tip for 30%, beware of this tactic as they tell you to sign but cover tip area with hand and when ask for unit to sign she stated they've been stolen so they have to hold onto them... gave $5 for tip and she frowned at me..!! read more
