It's not an issue to me that businesses are busy but if you have customers calling and scheduling an appointment two hours before they need to come in and you tell him that's a good time why are you setting walk-ins before appointments and they tried to ask me to come back tomorrow because they're busy but they already told me 6 PM was a great time to come in read more

I went and got my nails done with my mother in law and tell me why my nails are already falling off and it hasn't even been a week! I have never had this problem. They upsell you and over charged me. I have never paid this much. I am super upset and I will not be returning. The lady just did dip nails and didn't even ask me. I wanted gel. I have a dip nail kit at home I could of made last longer than this! read more

I like this place for lunchtime pedicures. On the days that I figure I'm going to need to kick some ass, I head over here to spruce up my polish. The employees are careful and attentive and really do a nice job. It's always nice to have my feet tickled by strangers too. They say it's for exfoliation, but I think they just like to see me squirm. read more

If you don't have all day, don't go here. Making an appointment is totally irrelevant. I'm very disappointed. I've been coming here for a couple years, but the last 3 times I've made an appointment they've taken other people ahead of me. Very unfortunate, but I'll be finding another salon. read more

Ive been a long time customer at pro nails. over time, the service has declined. I stopped booking appointments and would just do walk ins because I would end up waiting anyways. If I asked for how I wanted something done, I would be questioned as if I shouldn't do it the way I wanted. For example, I would ask for an (American) French tip and would be told I should just get clear because what's the point. Today, I had such a bad experience I won't be going back. My nail technician kept hurting me and I let her know. she's an older lady and her hands were shaking the whole time. She was cutting off too much off the sides of my nails and my cuticals. I flinched involuntarily and my foot kicked up, she scoffed at me... The side of my big toe was bleeding. Not a lot, but it was from cutting too much off the side and she tugged on my nail for it to detach from my skin. Its going to be irritable while it grows out. I did not get an apology and she acted like she was annoyed with me. From there I said, please do whats needed to finish and I won't be getting paint anymore. It takes a lot to make me feel uncomfortable to go back somewhere and not tip. Especially when someone's touching my feet and legs, I want it to be a good experience for me and the other person. I have had good experiences and there are good nail techs there, but I've had one too many bad experiences to give them my service again. read more

Not impressed! Went in to get a quick fill because my original/best nail tech @ Artistic nails went out of country to visit family for holidays. I had up instruct the tech at Pro nails to pick off all acrylic and ensure she got the air pockets. She did a half job and low and behold; 2 weeks later when I go to get my fill and take off polish I have 4 nails with fungus! Smh! Never again Pro Nails! read more

It is not a good thing to see your own blood during a pedicure. Which has happened to me more than once here. The last time it took a month for my big toe to heal. Fortunately, no scar. There is no way I'm going back here after they tore my big toe open and acted like nothing had happened. Took quite a while for the bleeding to stop. No bandaid either. read more

Very sanitary. Barriers between customer and nail tech during manicures. Asked us to wash our hands and sanitize before coming in. They were super nice, and my calves/feet feel BLESSED. Would recommend and will be returning in the future. read more

Cindy did my manicure. It was rushed and uneven and I was shut down and ignored when I expressed my concerns. I will not be returning.

Called the day before and made appointments for 3 of us and requested that we sit together. Got there for our appointments and all the chairs were full and we had to wait. Finally after waiting almost 15 minutes I was seated but my friends were still waiting. Another 10 minutes pass then they are finally seated but at the opposite end of the other row of chairs. When one of my friends said something, the old man who seemed to be in charge just laughed. When she said it wasn't funny he and the old lady both laughed. Very rude. Will not be going back. I don't care how good the pedicures are when you have an appointment you should not have to wait while they seat walk ins ahead of you. Customers should be treated with respect. read more

Please, do not go here. I have been getting my nails done for years. Acrylics, gel, and regular polish. I decided to go here and within 5 days my GEL polish was coming OFF. Never have i experienced this. Gel polish is made to last 2-3 weeks. Not to mention when i went in asking how much do they do gel polish there , the lady told me 25. When it was time to pay she told me it was $45!! When I asked her why she told me in the beginning it would be 25 and is now charging me 45 her only response was "It's $45." Like WHAT?! At least be honest from the gecko. This is why i asked previously what the cost was. Or i would have just gotten acrylics with that price! All in all super frustrating and i will never be going back. Not worth my money. read more

The worst manicure ever. The nail technician was distracted watching television and buffed my nail down to a bloody nailbed. She didn't seem to care at all, and was annoyed when I pointed out the bleeding. She then charged $45 for the manicure and asked how much tip I wanted to add to the charge. Seriously???? read more

I've tried many nail places since moving here, and finally found a place that nows what they're doing! I like the fact that all the workers will make an effort to say hello and my nail tech was very nice the whole time. She shaped my nails perfectly and did an overall beautiful job! The owner of this salon is a raving witch! She is rude and combative. The technicians tell you one price for the service you received and write another LOWER price on the receipt they give to the owner!! I would NOT recommend this salon to anyone. read more

I used to go here for yeeears and they were always so good, recognized me, and very kind. Since they've moved down the University Mall, service has declined. They don't respect appointments, I made a noon appointment, was on time (even early) and I still had to wait 30 min because they let two walk-ins go before me. Recently they also did my nails and I had asked for a glitter ombré but instead I got color with a BLOCK of glitter. Literally raised above the rest of the color. So sad to see this place go downhill but I had to be honest... read more

I asked for a $20 pedicure for myself and $30 for my husband. We have gone to other places and paid less than $50 for the both of us and got much better service. We ended up paying $85 for the both of us because the lady said I told her I wanted the MOST expensive pedicures, not the LEAST. My husband's feet barely look any better. So not only did we come out with bad service but they pretty much got a $35 tip. NEVER AGAIN! read more

Didn't even get inside, first person couldn't understand me on phone, second was able to tell me prices... shellac nails are 20 for mani + 25 for shellac and pedicure is 35.... 80.00!!! I said do you offer discount if you get them all? He rudely snapped no.. so forget them read more

Got the special pedi and enjoyed the care they took with the toes but the massage was very calf heavy. Toes look and feel great!

I've lived in Alaska my whole life (28 years). I could never find a place that seemed clean enough and was affordable compared to the prices in the states. I Loved my experience here! I went on a Sunday about 2 weeks ago about 30 minutes after it opened and got service right away. Thao did my pedicure and she made sure she cleaned it all (no shortcuts) and the massage was lovely. I usually hate massages at nail salons but I actually enjoyed it to where I started to snooze off. The Pedicure cost about $30.00. I ended up give $20 tip because she did such a great job! Will be back soon! read more

Talented technicians and a brand new office space. They have a good selection of colors and they don't shortcut any of the services. Services are also consistent and prices are clearly marked. We had an appointment for three people at 4:00, and it took 40 minutes past our appointment to get seated, and the third person in our party hasn't even had anyone get started yet on her nails and it's an hour past our appointment. Her water is cold and she's not getting one. And I see two other people just got up and left. This place overbooked people today. But they gave us a free pedicure and apologized. So switching from two stars to three. read more

I visited for the first time today based on location and Yelp reviews and was pleased with the service. The tech who did my pedi was very quiet but she took her time and was gentle and thorough. I was impressed that a regular pedicure took 45 minutes at a time when the business was steadily busy. I only waited a minute or two for service and never felt rushed during the entire visit. I will be back. read more

My husband and I have going to Pro Nails for pedicures for a while. They were recommended to us by a co-worker. We are both extremely happy with their service. I highly recommend making an appointment as every time we've been in there, it has been very busy. read more

This was my first time getting my nails done here, and I don't think I would ever go back. She cut the fake nails much shorter than I wanted, so much so that they just look like normal nails. My go-to pedicure place in Anchorage. The foot massages are THE BEST and they go to town on ragged cuticles (yes, they have power tools)! Its sometimes hard to get in as a walk-in because they are crowded, but its worth it. The pedis last a long time and are reasonably priced in comparison to the market rate here. read more

Very inconsistent service here. I've had maybe two good experiences out of five, and today it was awful. To begin, the technician didn't ask if I wanted a regular or deluxe pedicure (deluxe!), and she was perfunctory in performing every aspect of the service. She did give a decent leg massage - my favorite part - but it didn't last long enough! The worst part is I suspect the facility reuses clippers and other tools which are stored in a caddy between chairs. I didn't see any sterilizing equipment and when new people were seated, they did not bring out new tools. If there hadn't been so many people, I might have asked about the sterilizing protocol. I should have anyway, for my sake as well as others. I really hope I don't get a fungus from this place. Years ago I got one from a pedicure and it takes a very long time to recover. Pro Nails really needs to institute more sanitary procedures and better customer service. Nothing Pro about it. read more

Never going back. Walked in and it was nearly empty. After waiting over 35 minutes we were told to come back later. Would've been fine if we'd been told when we got there that it would be awhile. Never recommending to anyone else ever again even though we've been going there for many years. We've always put up with the wait even when an appointment was made but this was ridiculous. Haven't had good service in a long time anyway. read more

This is the best nail place I have been to in Anchorage. Very clean and excellent massage chairs! You get a great hand, shoulder, or leg massage depending on whether you get the mani or pedi. Although I have never been turned away for not making an apointment, they do get very busy after work and on weekends. If your toes need a little TLC in the long Alaskan winter, I recommend taking them here! read more
