Our pool was over 20 years old, had settled at one end of the yard, and had some hard-to-find leaks that turned out to be much worse than we thought. We are thrilled with the results! The deck around the pool and the steps were also falling apart, so we had that demolished and redone at the same time. It was a LOT of work all at once. Matt coordinated everything and his team really went above and beyond. While rewiring the pool and hot tub, he fixed problems with our yard lights. Nice. They even noticed that our backyard gate latch was broken and wasn't closing properly as the workers went in and out and they repaired it so our dog won't escape. Didn't even ask. Just fixed it. Wow. Just to let yall know, their work trucks stinks up the neighborhood with exhaust real bad, and is also very obnoxiously loud. If they can't fix something simple like their smelly and loud truck I'm not trusting them with my hard earned money to fix my pool. Very ghetto. Even if there were quality was amazing which I doubt, I'd still personally rather spend my money with somebody that keeps everything in tact including their promotional work vehicles, those are the people that you know care about their craft. I've been a pool owner for over 20 years and during that time I've employed several different pool maintenance companies. Pristine Pools have had my business for over a year now and I can tell you that my experience with their services has been far superior than anything I've experienced in the past. They always do and excellent job with their weekly service, calling attention to any maintenance issues that might arise, and always keep everything running perfectly and keeping my pool sparkling clean. In the past I just accepted mediocrity and just figured checking the chemistry and adjusting the water accordingly, was all I should expect. Not with Pristine. Diego always makes sure I'm taken care of and makes it right if something is missed. I was recently considering buying a new pool sweep because mine wasn't doing a very good job. I signed up for the top of the line service Pristine pools offered "Premium" right after the completion of my pool 2014. Was a loyal customer, on autopay, and spent thousands for a tech to come to my house weekly to provide routine service which never entailed them being there more than a half an hour, ever. Their name is deceptive as in all the years I had them there was always some debris left behind even right after they left, definitely NOT pristine. In the fall of 2018 I received an email explaining they were raising my prices to what a new customer would have to pay plus an extra $10 because my pool had "complexities" (see photo) For the record I have a small rectangular pool. Clearly, this company was trying to get rid of any pools that might require more than a 5 minute drive by effort. I get the need to raise prices but from $140 to $170 a month and the fact I have to pay the same prices as a new client after being a loyal customer for years was a slap in the face. They're definitely going for quantity over quality at this point, which is unfortunate, so I took the hint and took my business elsewhere for a lower price. read more

Had my pool control panel and all the equipment replaced this year by Pristine Pools. I truly enjoyed working with Matt Vieira selecting my new equipment and adding solar heating. I appreciated the conversations we had about different options and benefits / drawbacks for some of the equipment. He provided good information and insight on how to integrate the controls. Our family loves using our phones to control the pool, spa and led color changing lights. Matt was great communicating when my project was scheduled to start and what they were working on each day as they replaced everything. The quality of the work was exceptional. Controls, pumps, heater led lighting and valve operation worked from the beginning. We had to make a couple little tweaks, noting major after the system startup. The system has been operating three months error free. When the equipment was replaced Matt saw an option to reconfigure the pumps for a more efficient piping layout and better placement of the filter housing. Moving the filter placed it in a spot where it could be reached and serviced easily without working over the pumps. Prior to replacing everything our pool sweep never worked correctly and had water pressure problem prevent it from running most of the time. They changed the sweep piping connection and corrected the problems we previously had. The sweep runs error free every day now. Pristine Pools uses an electronic work order system. Anytime they work on the pool or I submit a request my wife and I are emailed a copy of the work order. After the work is completed we get a follow up email summarizing the work completed. We have had a couple pool companies service the pool and none of them used the electronic work orders. We really like it. read more

Matt and his crew came in to fix and clean up the installation of a Pentair pool and spa control system that was originally done by a clueless general contractor. The tech who did most of the work, Sean, was friendly and most importantly clearly communicated what was happening every step of the way. Not only was the issue quickly and accurately diagnosed, but replacement units were ordered and installed a few days after the initial service call. So far so good. I called them after I noticed green algae forming in my pool. I gave my previous pool company 2 weeks, but they not only didn't see it, it got worse once I told them. Therefore, they are gone. I called Pristine. My account was set up quickly by their efficient office staff, then Matt personally came out and diagnosed the problem. Within 2 hours the algae was gone. In the coming 2 weeks they cleaned my chlorinator and filter; and I couldn't be happier. Highly recommended. It's been 7 months since I hired Pristine, and I must say they are very consistent. I had a problem with my panel which changed the cleaning schedules. A service tech showed up and repaired a couple of leaks, and Matt arrived to reprogram the panel. Beware, of the 5 stars!! Matt the owner is very knowledgeable about pool chemistry and can and will talk your ear off about it. This at first is very persuading, persuading enough to hire them as our pool service company. However, over the past year, especially the last few months and they have added fees to our monthly bill that were NEVER agreed upon and:or confirmed. First being I had asked if they would be available the following week if needed to check and see if I installed our new pool sweeper correctly. He stated he didn't have an available time at the moment and would get back to me to CONFIRM a time and date. He also wanted $160 to "calibrate" to pool sweeper. I never confirmed a time with him and never confirmed that I needed a calibration done; he showed up unannounced and performed the work without approval and charged us. The next thing we noticed was that he raised his monthly service fee $10 without notice, sneaky. The straw that broke the camels back was that I had the water tested from a NPC certified pool technician and the levels were extremely out of normal range. So much so I now have to drain my pool because the calcium level is 675ppm and the range should be 200-400ppm. The only way to fix this now, because the chemistry of the pool was not correctly done, or it was done and he did nothing to fix it. The levels were as such: Chlorine 5.0. Ideal range (1.0-3.0) pH 7.8 ideal range(7.2-7.6) Alkalinity 150ppm ideal range(80-120) Calcium 675ppm ideal range(200-400) Cyanuric acid 150 ideal range(30-50) As you can see this is not close to service and down right negligible. I asked for them to drain my pool 3/4 as needed to dilute the water because of the calcium levels and also pay to refill it and of course he went on about all this pool chemistry that I cannot understand and that his obligation was complete. The point is that if they had correctly measured and treated our pool the calcium levels would have NEVER reach a point where I have to drain my pool. I asked him if this is his normal procedure, to let calcium levels and all other levels continue to get so far out of range that the only remedy is to drain the pool? I got no answer. SO FOR ANYONE USING PRISTINE POOLS OR THINKING ABOUT USING PRISTINE POOLS, AVOID!!! I have experienced their service and it is marginal. Yes they received two stars because they showed up every week. Unfortunately they are like so many other pool service companies, they show up and that's about it. Find someone else and don't let the 5 stars fool you! read more

Very impressed with Pristine Pools! I can tell the owner, Matt, is very knowledgeable and takes pride in doing the job right . We purchased our home this summer and even before we finished the purchase we can tell the pool equipment would need to be replaced. Called and left message inquiring about opening my pool and doing some repair work--Jonathan called me back after 2 weeks--I explained where I lived, did Pristine service this area, he said yes and stated he needed to email me a form. I said great--this was a Thursday--no form, no email. This company is worthless. I only gave it one star because no stars was not a option. I had a variable speed pump installed by Pristine Pools last fall and I paid $3,500 for it. Matt never set up the pool solar capabilities because it was almost winter when he explained that you don't run pool solar to heat your pool. Now it's spring and I tried turning on the pool solar option and it's broken already. I called the company and they refuse to come out to even look at it without charging me another $100 service fee. I spent over three thousand dollars with your company and you won't even come out at look at it, really? Go with another company that stands by their recently installed products because this company is complete garbage! read more

As some other reviews have mentioned, Matt is a very nice and compelling guy. Makes the sale! Sadly, the follow-up work is far from satisfactory. At Matt's suggestion, we drained our pool, pressure washed the walls and refilled the pool with water. Should be the perfect starting point, right? Shockingly, in 6 weeks the water was green with algae. It was obvious that the chemical balance was improperly set. Then came the other surprise: nearly $100 worth of chemicals that I didn't even hear about, let alone approve, until my month-end statement. That was enough for me, we've parted company. This was a terrible experience, and seeing some of the other reviews here, I am not alone. If only I had checked them out here before I hired them. Sigh. What's the phrase? It's been almost 10 months since Pristine Pools replaced our pump and everything is still running great. I did have a short in my pool solar temp sensor and that was keeping me from turning on the pool's solar system. I didn't understand why and Matt explained it to me. He also gave me guidance on the best rpm to use with my variable speed pump to achieve the best results when using the solar option. Always quick to respond to an email or voicemail.
