I called to make a last minute, evening gel mani/pedi appointment. Not only did they squeeze me in, but they stayed late to accommodate my schedule. The salon is peaceful and smells of clean laundry. It was much more spa-like than the salons that blast daytime TV. Hannah was PHENOMENAL! She was extremely thorough and professional. Been there twice, both bad experiences. More recently I got switched between nail techs because the person scheduled before me was late...she showed up and took priority...I was shifted to a man ...not a problem but he did a horrible job, bubbling nails, sharp edges and just disgusting looking! Meanwhile the owner (I think) and this man's had a HUGE LOUD ARGUMENT while he was working on my nails. It was NOT a pleasant experience, I wish I didn't pay. This is for a wax appt only. Way last min decision to squeeze in an appt for wax and was kinda shocked to see how tiny this little place is. Don't expect a full body wax - there is NO private room or space for such in this nail place. I'll say though - for the space they have they def utilize it well and the decor is just adorable. Really kinda a breath of fresh air in comparison to some huge mill looking nail salons. Younger girl did my wax right away no waiting even though they were a bit busy. My only gripe I guess was the fact that everyone in the place can see what's going on - so yeah no bikini waxes here girls - I had just facial wax done while sitting in a super comfy pedicure chair and it was super clean, quick and relaxed - despite the lack of privacy. I've gotten my nails done at a lot of places. I got a fill done and she was quick, and now a week later I know why. They are all pulling up and breaking. They look terrible and need to be redone. Woman working there was completely defensive saying it's because she did a fill and not the full set, but that shouldn't matter, and the place I got the full set done lasts 6 weeks. I do not ever complain, but after them breaking so quickly I did go in to have them see and she did not help. Just kept making excuses and wanted to fix them. I think they need more technicians that can spend the time needed and do the job right. its always too busy and they rush through doing your nails and its done half - ass. The powder is done wrong. Let's see. In fifteen minutes early, finished twenty minutes late. Gel nail polish was painful for them to remove,from pinching my fingers with their crappy nail covers,to scraping off the old polish. I was in pain. Lady seemed nice but abused? Other lady on phone entire time, took time to yell at the lady doing my nails. To complete the removal of polish she basically sanded my entire nail to nothing. Got my nails done Thursday night, it's Saturday and my nails are chipping and peeling. Last place I got mine done it didn't start until after two weeks later. Extremely disappointing. LOVE this place! Over 1,000 dip colors- not exaggerating...! I had to take a pic this visit because I couldn't believe it. They just got in a bunch of new colors. The girls are sweet and it's super clean. I called at 7:05 to see if they could fit me in (they close at 8 - which by the way is later than everyone else in the area). They said of course! When I got there she asked if I also wanted a pedi (score!) so I didn't feel like I was keeping them late at all. All around awesome experience. This is my second visit. I came to Princess nails tonight to get a full set of gel acrylics. I first got a pedicure and had my toes painted which came out fine. After gluing on the acrylics I said I preferred them a tiny little bit shorter she cut all of my nails significantly shorter and they were not even the same length. I'm the kind of person who usually would not say anything and deal with them being longer or shorter than I prefer, but they weren't even and I dealt with my nails being too short for my liking the last time I got acrylics somewhere else so I didn't want to again. Instead of removing the acrylic, she just glued another one right on top. So all of my nails then had 2 layers of acrylic on the tips, and my left pinkie had THREE layers because she fucked up again. Then, someone else hopped in to start doing the dip process for whatever reason. She did not pay attention to brushing the paint/glue on evenly, so then the powder was uneven and the nails had bumps. She even filed the sides of the most wretched nail that had a huge bump on it and somehow gazed over it, and didn't fix it until I said something. I don't even care about the pain/bleeding with cutting my cuticles, that's the least of my worries. My nails are all different lengths, and they are crooked. They were clearly rushing and simply didn't care. I literally could have found more professionalism in someone's business in their parents basement. I could have done it better myself. Btw, this is my first yelp review, that's how bad my experience was. I'll be going back tomorrow either for a refund or a redo. UPDATE* I went back tonight and they would not refund it but they redid them and I made sure she took her time. She hurt me a considerable amount with the filing tool which spins fast and heats up and kept hurting the same spots. And she didn't have me wash my hands after filing before using the polish which is unsanitary. I am satisfied with the redo but will not be going back. read more

I had to change my color choice three times because their polish was all old and gross. The WORST manicure I've ever had, I left bleeding and had polish all over my skin. I made an appointment for three pedicures. The nail polish choices looked separated and expired and the pedicures were rushed and unpleasant. The water was significantly too hot. One of my friends left with a rash from the scrub and the other left with a scratch on her leg from the scrub. We all left with greasy legs and felt like we needed a shower. Pedicures were listed as a certain price and so we Venmoed that amount (because they only accept venmo) and we were followed out to our car because the nail polishes we chose were apparently more expensive. Terrible experience. Will not be returning and wish I didn't waste my money on it. There are significantly better places down the street for the same price. read more

The employee huffed and puffed the whole time, she was not gentle at all when filing and buffing my nails, and her facial expressions were making me feel as if i were a bother to her. Dirty salon, old nail polish, unsterilized tools, rude manager. Princess Nails is gross! The place is a total dump. The second you walk in, it smells like an old ashtray, they definitely smoke inside. Yes, they have a huge selection of OPI colors, but the selection is about a decade old and the first color I liked couldn't be opened bc it was dried shut. I should have walked out but I was in a hurry and needed a quick mani. How bad could it be, right? Wrong! The woman who appeared to be the manager was so persistent about up-selling me to a gel manicure, it got awkward when I said, "no thank you" 7 times. Then she proceeded to make fun of me in a her native language which was really amusing. The manicure was rushed and the nail technician, Paula, was nice enough. The soak dish was dirty, the tools were not sterilized. And the place was overall filthy and smelled so strong like cigarettes, it aggravated my sinuses! The color she used was so old, it was chunky on my nails, and after two coats it was pretty obvious, it had to be removed. I left with no color. I will not return. I love all the nail technicians at this salon they all do great work and are very clean and precise with the work they're doing. I am a hair stylist and need my nails to look perfect and clean every day. This is the first nail salon I have found that my nails stay perfect for the full two weeks. If you're looking for a great place to get your nails done, try looking somewhere else. This place is mediocre at best. My fill was awful from the start. The woman doing my nails cut my skin while trimming my cuticles multiple times. I was actually bleeding. Later, the artist took a phone call while paining my nails. More specifically, she was balancing the phone on her shoulder while painting. A minute later, she took out her iPad AND STARTED WATCHING TELEVISION. At the booth. While painting. She didn't even notice that her clear coat had black specks which were left on my nails. At the end of my manicure, she had me "dry" my nails under the incandescent light bulb (the one at the booth) as she set up her iPad on the fan/ black light dying station where she could watch it while cleaning up. It took me literally the same amount of time to dry my nails under the incandescent bulb at it did to get the fill. By the time I got home, a couple of my nails had wrinkles and/ or dents. I made a mistake and hit a couple of nails on the light bulb/ lamp while drying my nails. The artist didn't redo my nails. I know it's my fault, but there is a standard I've become used to where an artist will fix this mistake. Finally, I got home and realized that some of my nails flair at the tips, and others do not. Also, some are square and others are square- rounded. All of them look terrible and there was paint on my skin all around my nails on my skin. Overall, I suggest you take the trip into Worcester and get your nails done at a salon where the person doing your nails puts in even half an effort. read more

This was not the first they tried to guilt me into feeling bad by going elsewhere for my nail services.
