I made an appointment for a Friday morning for a pedicure and when I arrived staff seemed surprised to see me. I had to wait 30 minutes for a seat to open up and once seated waited an additional 15 minutes for a technician. The water was cold and I was repeatedly told they would be with me in a moment. Eventually a technician came over and the entire service lasted 20 minutes, felt rushed and was not satisfied with end result. After waiting longer than the actual pedicure lasted I just wanted to get on with my day. I have had issues with this spot before and with so many other salons nearby I wouldn't recommend Q nails. read more

I went in because I needed a dip manicure before my engagement/summer party, my salon I always go to was completely booked out until Monday and I had to cancel my appointment. When I arrived it was just really awkward, the woman who took me told me how bad my nails looked and how my old salon did a bad job because it's "too thick" my "type of nails need thin" which isn't true at all they break easier. The comments kept coming how small my nails are, talking about them to other customers, i had to cut them because of my job and she would not stop making comments. The vibe was awkward for me because it just felt like a sales pitch the whole time. The color I picked out and what is on my nails is not great. I don't do round but now my nails are. She made comments about how my old nails look and how they should with the "rock" (my engagement ring) She kept pushing me to come back, asking where I live and such and that this is better, I was kind and said of course we will see, but it was just non stop pushing. They kept saying how they only had 30 minutes left and as soon as it was close, everyone started cleaning up quickly rushing customers out, having customers and staff get up to mop and clean. The woman next to me told me it was cash tip only which.. rubs me the wrong way? I don't know I think there should be options. I go to Colours in Worcester and it's either Venmo, cash, or card. When I checked out it even had a line for tip, but I was told not to fill that out. I did ask if anyone had Venmo but was told nope, I did go and get cash out at my bank 5 minutes away, but by the time I came back they were closed... Needless to say even though it is close, I don't think I'll be back, this is probably my least favorite manicure I've ever had and I'm trying to figure out how to fix it. When she was done my nails I had a good brow wax but to my total dismay and first time ever I was given a firm thumb with a RUBBING ALCOHOL clean up ... YIKES AND OUCH .... This was the first time I've gone here. I went here for a full set acrylic with gel polish for 2 people. Our appointment was at 11:30 and they didn't take us until almost 12:30 and we were on a time crunch... I understand they were busy but it was no excuse for how my nails turned out. The lady I got to do my nails (not sure her name) was awful, she was multitasking between answering the phone and scheduling appointments and doing my nails. I've been using the dip powder for many years, I normally visit another salon, but my manicurist went on vacation so I went to Qnail salon, the lady was lovely and very kind, I did notice she was not changing some of the tools and using an old file, I did not want to be the rude customer and I just let her do her job. Not a huge color selection, which should have been a sign for me. Was seated for a pedi and they proceeded to remove my toe polish with a very abrasive nail file. No polish remover, just harshly scrubbed the polish along with most of my skin off. I mentioned twice that it was not gel. I just got a smile. Polish was worn off within 1.5 weeks. Didn't even visit the beach. I have never had a more horrible pedi experience. Very disappointed!! read more

I have been her a few times. The first few times they were great. The last 3 times were not. I have come back because it's the only place near me who takes walk-ins. And pedicures are usually a last minute decision whenever time comes available. My experience today put the nail in the coffin. I will not be returning. I came in for a gel pedicure. I had gel on my toes already. This lady scraped my polish off with her finger nails. I have never seen gel be removed without soaking in acetone. She then filed my toenails so incredibly aggressively that she cut up all of the skin surrounding my toenails. (When I complained that it was hurting, she blamed it on the nail file being new, and continued. And did not even apologize). I am literally sore leaving this place right now. The only nail salon I've ever been to worse than this one is the one across the street! The nail tech sanded part of my pinkie finger off, too make it worse he saw my skin on the tool and was like "haha look its your skin" he then put some unknown liquid on it that stung without telling me what it was. He also made my middle finger bleed. On top of this I have top coat all over my finger that I have been peeling off, as well as white polish. Now, I got a french tip, and I wanted my nails short but almost medium length, so because I wanted french I requested a light/nude pink underneath so it wasn't obvious that the white tip started off my finger, well he didn't put a base color just an extra coat of top coat. He also made the acrylics so short! they were the same exact length as my natural nail. Has potential to be a good nail salon, arrived at 5:45 PM on a Tuesday night and did not start my nails till 6:35 PM highly recommend making an appointment. Seemed to pay close attention when doing cuticles also thought it was interesting for a five dollar up charge you can get a hot stone massage! Seems to be some confusion at the register, I waited a while at the register with no one coming over to cash me out. I think there was a dispute about the price because after I paid it they were having a conversation about it. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I walked in hoping it would go well because of the good reviews. I was getting a acrylic fill and was prepared to pay $25 as it had shown on the website. So the lady immediately starting ignoring my requests and tried to make me pay more by giving me the gel colors to look at when I asked for regular polish. Then when I asked for them a little shorter she said ok and half my tip was gone. I told her it was too short and all she said was ok. Then she leaves one hand much longer than the other. Right before she is going to paint my nails she says she will have me pay, i said ok and she said $33 dollars. I said um no on the website it says $25. She pulls one of the other girls over and says oh well the website is old and it is $5 for coffin(my nails were already coffin shaped before I walked in) and $3 because they are long. My nails weren't long and all she had to do is fill in where my nails grew out. So told the girl I wasn't happy with the service or the nails and she said what don't you like and I told her they were way too thin which they were. If I opened my fridge door these nails would pop right off. She said I'll tell her to make them thicker, so the lady made them thicker. Then as the lady was painting them she was so careless and rushing she flicked paint on my shorts. I will NEVER EVER GO HERE AGAIN worst experience ever. read more

I've put off writing this review in hopes I would get over it, but I am still very upset with my experience. I went into this salon because my normal salon was booked that day. I was immediately put off by the nail techs (Kerri) attitude to the point I texted my friend about how uncomfortable I was. The first thing she says with a disgusted look was "your nails... are so thin." Then continues to have an awful attitude when taking off my previous polish, just shitting on everything about them, and being really rough as if I was an inconvenience. An older woman even came in (clearly a tiny confused) and Kerri literally rolled her eyes and sighed at the woman in-front of her for asking a simple question. As time went on we got talking and had decent conversation, to which I figured things were looking up. She then randomly started telling me about how poor she was and how she only gets 2 clients a day, doesn't make a wage and only lives off those 2 clients tips (her words not mine), to which I sympathized with and tipped her over (!) 20% regardless of her attitude. I went home and noticed the dip I had got had very un even surfaces and 2 nails were lifting. I hate to be a pain so it really took a lot out of me to build the courage to ask to get it fixed, which may sound silly unless you personally have the same issues lol. I went back and very nicely asked if just the 2 nails that were lifting could be fixed. Kerri (with the nastiest attitude) says that they're not lifting and basically gaslights me into thinking I'm seeing things. I said no, they are lifting, my hair is getting caught in them, and I just want the 2 nails re done, not my whole hands. The other lady was talking in Vietnamese, but I could see her pointing to how the dip wasn't even covering the whole nail and it was not done right. Kerri scoffs and walks away for someone else to do my nails without saying sorry or anything after accusing me of lying?? You would think you would be happy to help a customer who tipped you well an hour prior, but instead made me feel like an idiot and extremely uncomfortable. The lady who fixed them did it incorrectly, which I could tell while I was there, but I was so uncomfortable I just left after, and didn't feel comfortable asking to even out the surfaces etc. They all were looking at me as if I was the issue. I'm very awkward and hate confrontation, so trust me when I say, I am OVERLY nice to others and there was absolutely no need to treat me the way they did. I'm going to guess I was played with a sad story for a better tip (and if not, i sympathize, but I still find it unprofessional to talk about money to a client you just met) and then got scoffed at and eyes rolled at me for asking her to fix something SHE MESSED UP ON. I went home and used my own nail stuff to fix the uneven surfaces after just paying to get them done which was very annoying. Now it is less than a week later, and to no surprise, the 2 nails I said were lifting, have completely lifted. It's the principle, more so than the nails. I never, ever write reviews but this left such a bad taste in my mouth I couldn't not share. I also don't think my writing is doing the situation justice; just know it was so rude to the point I felt like I was going to cry lol. I wouldn't go back to this salon for multiple reasons, including random up charges (which I saw someone else say too in the reviews) awful attitudes with an unwelcoming environment and bad nails. read more

Went in for eyebrows today. I layed down and the associate instantly degraded me for having uneven brows(which I have always had- one is straighter than another). I have never been so shocked, and disgusted at how I have been treated at a "spa". Her exact words, before even saying hello, "your eyebrows are uneven *shoves mirror in my face*, what do you even want me to do." The only thing I can complain about is they leave too much space from the cuticle so you need a fill a lot sooner than need be.
