Dear internet surfers This is April, owner at Chaba Day Spa. I would like to apologize to those angry customers who had bad experiences for the past 5 years we have been opening. I am a small business owner who is trying so hard to run my first and only one business in my life. Please understand that I would never wanted to run a bad business in town since I am also a Millbury town residence. As my business grow, we found mistakes and negative feedback. I addressed and discussed each problems with my staffs each time and hope we will serve our value customers better and never want to make the same mistake again. I would like to ask for your kindness if it's any problems in the future please ask to speak to me directly and we can find the better way to fix problems instead of posting negative feedback of your one time experience on Internet. It took me 5 long years to build my place so please let me know what went wrong. I would love to make my Chaba better. Georgiana : sorry my receptionist was new to nails system and did not know it takes only 5 mins to fix one nail. She tried her best to book you in. Believe me she would like to hear a nice happy sound of a customer than a complaining angry sounds. She cried after you screamed and hung up the phone. She left the shop afterward. :( Karen L : you left with a smile on your face and told us how happy you are and even give my girl big tip. After you get home a couple hour later then call to complain your acrylic nails are not as long as you want. We offered to make your nails longer if you would come back for no cost but you won't let us. We tried. I understood that you said you are a massages therapist who is working at other place nearby but why do you need such a long acrylic nails? You also complained about our Christmas light decor but the owner is Asian... you know!?! I don't know how to apologize with my senses of fashion and decorations. Sorry that I love Christmas so much because my country don't have Christmas to celebrate :) However I took them down a month later.. may be you would give us a second chance? No more Christmas decoration in Spring and Summer I promise. Janet V : I am truly sorry and already discussed with my technician. She did not understand that she cannot says those things to a pregnant woman. She is an older generation of second language speaker. She was wrong and I addressed it. On the cell phone part I apologize and they ALL should know that is a big NO at work. Also that day my receptionist called out sick so we were short staffs so that's why nobody at the front to offer you any tea/ coffee / water. I was the one who cash you out at the end and I remember that I said what a nice color choice and congratulate to you on your pregnancy. I wish you would let me know that day something upset you. Sorry I did not know all about it. Kara L : Spa mani+ Spa pedi=$50. But you did a gel mani instead so its even out with Reg pedi+Gel mani = $50. It's a misunderstanding how my girl explaining to you. We did not overcharge you at all but it fit in the total normal price. After she knew that she gave you a regular pedi instead of spa pedi so she let you know it will be same total if you do gel mani instead of regular mani and you can still use the gift card to cover the total amount. I do keep all my book and gift certificate references. I can show you my record on how we charged you on things that day. I really wish you would discuss with me before give out bad feedback on Internet from your one time experience. But I am truly sorry for running late on you. Most of the time all of my staffs are trying to be on time for every customers to keep everything flowing smooth and easy since we all sharing pedicure station one after one. If anyone who is using the tub before was running late to finish so the next one will be effected by that issues as well. So they all know to be on time as much as they could but unfortunately we do running late sometimes. We are not matching so we do have bad days or good days. We get tried too so please be patient with this matters. Even our customers are running late for appointments time sometimes too. Nails service is not only service we offer at Chaba day spa. We have great Massage, Facial, Waxing, Lashes extension. Please try our other services and enjoy your visiting time. Thank you for all the supports :) read more

I hadn't had my nails done in 6 years. Minh was fabulous. She was patient with me having to reschedule, took her time with my horrible nails, and was friendly & professional. I made an appointment to see her again for another gel manicure. Everyone who was working there seemed upbeat and happy, making it a comfortable experience for a nail rookie like myself. I can't wait to go back! read more

I come here regularly to get my eyebrows and lip waxed and let me tell you I am very particular about my eyebrows and I always leave here looking PERFECT! I have also gotten a facial and a massage here before and loved both experiences! Great atmosphere, great people and great prices! read more

If you havent gone you really are missing out. Alyssa is a knowledgeable and intuitive masseuse . I highly recommend.

I've been here a few times for massages and once for a pedicure. The staff here is really nice and the pricing is very reasonable... $65 for an hour massage. The massage therapist I've been going to (Jen) does a great job listening to you and your muscles to adjust the pressure. The oil they use isn't too greasy and afterwards you're given a hot towel to clean off. Be sure to drink lots of water before and after to flush out the "toxins." read more

Never called me back to confirm my appt when i left them a voicemail. Mind you they had over a week.

I love this place, April the owner is very accommodating, I often have to change my appointment because of my crazy work schedule and she will do her best to get me in, it's nice not to have to go to a big chain and actually have a enjoyable experience getting my nails done, everyone is friendly and will have a nice conversation with you if you want and not be ignored like some of the bigger places, if you have a problem they will do their best to resolve it, I think I have had all the girls work on my nails whether it be a pedicure or massage I definitely will continue to be a customer to a local business verses a mall store, small town vibe, I usually have Bupp for my gel nail but have had Nini too, April and Rain for lashes or facial , read more

Chaba Day Spa didn't give me that warm, relaxed, spa glow. The masseuse wasn't friendly or welcoming and the rooms were dingy and dusty. The massage itself was okay but I won't go back. read more

Great neighborhood nail salon/day spa that is clean and delivers great service. The owners and technicians seem to know all their clients by name, and there is a fun, friendly atmosphere. Very different vibe from a traditional strip mall salon. I've had several shellac manicures and pedicures, and the results always last for a long time. Waxing is great...April is fantastic at shaping my brows. Massages are a treat, and very reasonably priced (especially when compared to Boston prices). Only downside is that appointments are not readily available, especially if you want gel or shellac manicures. Best to call ahead, but the experience will be worth it. read more

I always love to get massage, I have back, neck and shoulders pain from work and driving. When I know Gee work for Chaba Day Spa, I quickly called and went to see her for Thai combo Massage. She is very professional, friendly, patient and give great massage. Thai Combo is combinations of Thai massage stretching, acupressure with deep tissue/Swedish and Hot stone altogether in one session, $75 for 60 mins, $100 for 90 mins! She had great techniques and she focused on my pain area. I felt so good after session and already made another appointment. I got massage from Gee at another spa before and I highly recommended to friends and family to come see Gee for massage at Chaba Day Spa! Usually $65 for Deep tissue or Swedish massage. Its reasonable price!! read more

Chaba Day Spa - Day Spas Near Me - Millbury, Massachusetts

I came here after experiencing the worst sciatica pain and lower back pain I've ever had to the point where I could barely walk or bend over. I got a Thai massage from Pimey. I may have spelt it wrong but she did a combination of deep tissue, stretching and walking on me during the massage. The progress I've made since I left is like night and day. I know I need to keep going probably every two weeks to really fix the problem but I already feel better and it looks like I need this more than my chiropractor . If you need a deep tissue massage and help with lower back pain/sciatica definitely give this place a try and give her a try read more

Love, love, love! The friendliness of the staff and other clients, to the atmosphere, is terrific!! Highly recommend

I had been looking for a new manicurist because I love getting the shellac manicure and my last girl got fired from another salon. I decided to try chaba after never had going before or knew anyone that had been there. The girls at the desk were extremely friendly and offered me a drink and showed me to all the nail polishes. They had a great variety of different brands and colors! April completed my service and my nails came out gorgeous! There is nothing like a good shellac! The price was great too- $8 less than what I had been paying! I totally recommend this spa, I have been back already for another shellac manicure and spa pedicure! My only recommendation would be for some light music in the background. read more

This is the only place in Central MA I will go for a manicure. The staff is incredibly friendly and they all remember you by first name. The pricing very low and well worth it. There aren't many chairs though, so it's best to make an appointment in advance. read more

I've been here many times for massage and also for a pedicure. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I've had a lot of tightness in my shoulder, back and neck and after a session with Chutimon, I can always feel a big difference with increased range of motion. I highly recommend Chaba to anyone looking for therapeutic massage!! read more

A newly renovated spa with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. The massage is reasonably priced and great quality. The spa also has full service nail care facials and waxing available. Check them out and call to make an appointment today. read more

I had a spa pedicure done here. It was a good job but not worth the 10$ extra. It seemed to be the same as a regular pedicure. My nails did come out very nice. read more

Place wreaks of acetone, to the point where I was afraid a spark would ignite a huge explosion and breathing that stuff is a health concern. They gladly take your money for gift cards but try and schedule a massage and you have to bend over backwards to accommodate their schedule not yours. The receptionist, an Asian woman was rude and unprofessional. I wish my wife had told me she intended to buy me this gift card I could have saved us both money and headaches. I go to Worcester for my massages and wouldnt be caught dead here if it werent for the outstanding balance on the gift card. Avoid this place at all costs ad go to a place that appreciates your business. read more

The ladies here are fabulous. i'll get my nails done somewhere else but i will only go here for facials. They use great products and i am a product junkie. Gm collins from france. i took off a star because its so hard to get an appointment they are never able to take me when I'm available and its hard with three kids to find mommy time. I pay about $50 dollars for a European Facial and it takes about an hour. its very relaxing. I've also had ear candling services as well and while it was alright i prefer to go there for facials. read more

I went there once. Pretty good experience, they kind of ignored me at first because I wasn't a regular but half way through started treating me better. They did a good job, gel nails are lasting. They didn't tell me they were charging me an extra five bucks for some sparkles and I wish they would have told me. But the receptionist is very sweet and makes you coffee or tea. I will go back for sure. The place is very nice and clean and they are very good at gel nails. You would be surprised how many people have old crusty gel polish. Theirs is new and clean, it stays on and that's super important to me. So over all a good experience def a go to for gel manicures. read more

A big thank you to all the wonderful people at Chaba Day Spa! My daughter and I came to MA for a weekend getaway and started our mini vacation with a massage, manicure and pedicure...it was AMAZING!! So relaxing...nice people and great conversation...and they did an outstanding job with all of our services. I do have to add a note to this because there are always some people you can never please..no matter how great the service is! While we were there another woman was having a manicure. The lovely young woman doing her nails kept on asking her if this was what she wanted, etc.....the woman was like this is great...on and on. After she left, and while we were still there she called and was yelling on the phone about what she got wasn't right...not what she wanted...blah..blah. The owner handled the manner in a very professional manner...saying how sorry she was and please come in we will re-do or she would give a full refund. The woman on the phone kept screaming...said she was going to write a bad review and tell everyone not to come to Chaba..then she hung up! So...if it appears on this website...take it for what it is worth....NOTHING!!! i would highly recommend Chaba Day Spa...great service, prices are great...and WONDERFUL, HARD WORKING PEOPLE! We will be coming down this way again and again one of our first stops will be to Chaba Day Spa. Thank you for everything!! JJ read more

I had a pretty bad experience here for my first try and before you think I am a disgruntled customer, let me explain exactly what happened. I live in Sutton and Chaba always has looked like a fun and very convenient nail place/spa. I travel to westboro to get my nails done and love the place I go to. My boyfriend told me he had the best massage here so I bought him a gift card for another massage. No problems so far, the staff was very friendly when I purchased the gift card. I looked around and it looked like a nice, quaint place to get pampered. My boyfriend bought me a seasonal spa manicure and pedicure gift card. I was so excited. I made an appointment and went inside. The girl at the front desk was not who I remembered, a young college girl, she was pretty standoffish and rude. I explained I was here for my first time and that I was here to have a seasonal spa mani/pedi. No problem. There was another lady there getting her nails done. The receptionist told me that the other technician went to blackstone mall and would be back soon... UM, ok? So I waited.... The lady shows up and they stuck me in a corner chair (there was no one having pedicures) so I was a little thrown off, the lady rushed in and sat down. No hello, nothing. I told the tech that I had a gift card for a SEASONAL SPA MANI/PEDI! And I was upgrading my nail polish on my hands to gel. She nodded. She gave me the most rushed pedicure ever. Barely massaged. My heels were SO rough still when I got over to the chair. I was stunned. That was a SPA pedicure? My boyfriend paid extra for me to have a wonderful pedi. Whatever though. I went to the nail station and again she gave me a speedy fast manicure. There was no one else waiting. It wasn't close to closing time, why was she rushing Me? She shaped my nails awful and the polish was bubbling up, which gel manis are not supposed to do. The receptionist came over and talked to the tech. The lady realized she gave me a basic pedi and mani instead of a seasonal spa one. I literally was livid. The worst part? She apologized but said "sorry, you still have to use your gift card", are you friggin kidding me? What was I supposed to say, no? This place is so unprofessional! I was looking forward to being really pampered and instead I got the basic treatment (which sucked) and my feet just looked like they were washed with soap and not smoothed out and my GEL polish (which last 3 weeks for me normally) was peeling within a week. Place is a joke. I had a miserable time and was forced to pay for a service that I didn't want in the first place. I don't know how many more times I needed to say what I was there for and it was written on the gift card? I sincerely hope the owner reads this and realizes that maybe she should make sure her staff is polite, overly accommodating, coherent to understand the services wanted, and maybe they shouldn't be up at the mall shopping. I will never be back. read more

CAUTION - Do NOT go to this "spa"!!!! If I could give this place no stars, I would. I had an appointment for artificial nails this past Saturday, March 28. Although it was nice that they could squeeze me in at the last minute, I still had to wait approximately 15 minutes before my service began. Once started, the manicurist seemed to speed through doing my nails. After nicking my cuticles with the buffer, she glued on the nails and cut them to a nice length. I confirmed that this was a good length. She then proceeded to file them down so much that by the time she finished, my nails didn't look any longer than when I first came in! I mentioned several times to her that they were too short, but the manicurist (who has the personality of wet cardboard) said nothing, absolutely nothing!! She just kept going. After polishing my nails, I mentioned again that they were too short and her answer was "They'll grow". EXCUSE ME????? "They'll grow"???? The whole reason I wanted artificial nails is because my nails DO NOT grow!!!! The only thing I liked about my manicure was the nail polish color, which I had brought myself. Overall, it didn't even look like I had had anything done to my nails! It just looked like they had been polished and that's it. I left very disappointed and was so upset that I later called the manager to complain. She did offer to have me come back so that they could put some gel on the ends to make them longer, but at that point, I didn't want to spend one more minute there. The "spa" is one big open space with Christmas lights (the kind with the huge bulbs) hanging all over the place, tiny chairs for the "waiting room" with a filthy looking love seat thing. The receptionist never greeted me when I came in and was more interested in texting on her cell phone and going next door and bringing back Thai food to eat at the front desk. ALL of the workers seemed more interested in getting take-out than in their clients! I myself am a massage therapist and I would NEVER be eating food in the salon in front of clients. Again, AWFUL, AWFUL customer service here and the manicurist is a disaster. There are so many better places out there! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I've been here three times. Mostly because it's just around the corner from my house. The first time I went, I got a hot stone pedicure. It was pathetic. A really basic pedi with some amateur use of heated stones. The second time I went, I got the express polish change, and that was okay I guess. This most recent time takes the cake, though. My baby shower is on Saturday, and I wanted to refresh my toes since I can't really reach them myself right now. I walked in, and no one greeted me, or offered to get me a drink. I picked out my color, and found one of the techs at the pedi station on her cell phone. She gestured at the chair, and I sat, putting my feet up. I had to get the lady's attention to ask for help rolling my pants up. She looked at my pregnant belly, and asked when I was due. I told her I have two more months or so, and she said, "oh... Big belly! Twins?" I said, "um, no, just the one", and she said, "hmmm, belly too big". I was mortified, gee thanks for making me feel even more like a whale! I put my feet in the scalding hot water, while she continued to text on her phone. A few minutes later, she asked which scent I'd like, I chose lavender, and as she was putting the salts in the water, she spilled some on the towel, then proceeded to shake it, so I ended up with bath salts all over me. She removed my previous polish, and did a sugar scrub on my leg... But most of my leg was still dry, usually they dampen your leg a bit first, so it was pretty uncomfortable. She did my cuticles, during which she nicked my big toe a little, drawing blood. Instead of disinfecting it, she just wiped it with the towel my feet were resting on. Then she got a phone call, and chatted on the phone for several minutes, ignoring me completely. I'm certainly not coming back here. I honestly don't know how they can call themselves a spa! read more
