I went for a massage due to neck pain. The woman doing the massage was very sick and was constantly sneezing and using a tissue. When I turned over, her snot dropped onto my body, and when I went to pay, she was sweating profusely. I will never go back again and just hope that I don't catch the flu or covid. Cannot recommend and would encourage everyone to beware. read more

Went there for a massage. The place is clean and the massage was good. There were 2 practitioners, and one of them was really really good. The other one was on the gentler side, although I'd prefer firm pressure. The prices are reasonable too. My only suggestion would be if they could use some good quality oil instead of the strong fragrant lotion, it would be more effective. I felt like the lotion they used has a strong smell and not of the prime quality. Everything else was just perfect. read more

Thank goodness I was able to get in for a 90 minute deep tissue massage. Joy is such a fantastic massage therapist. Really worked my neck, back, legs and arms. She is very professional and knows the pressure points. HEPA air filter machines in the spa now. I've gone here for about a year and always feel so much better after. There are some health products she sells now. Also, Joy just purchased a mobile massage table so she can travel. Might try that next. Try the Infrared sauna,I have in my previous visit... it is awesome. read more

Wonderful reflexology massage. They incorporated back, hands, and neck as well at the beginning of the massage. It's not the fanciest place and the decor is very tacky and odd, but they know what they're doing and they don't overcharge. I had an incredibly relaxing and good foot massage here and would certainly return! There will be a bit of a language barrier, so just be patient with them. They're very professional and gifted at what they do at Ruth Spa. read more

After discovering Ruth Spa online, I booked my first massage there several months ago and have returned several times since. Joy is a wonderful therapist, who works my tight and sore muscles well, providing relief to my chronic pain. Ruth Spa is the first place I ever experienced hot stone, of which I am now a fan. I like that I can set up my appointments via text message. Joy runs her business in a small, professional space with clean private rooms. Simply fantastic and outstanding Tui Na therapeutic massage finally close to Sudbury, Wayland, Weston, and Framingham. First some background. For several years we preferred Swedish, Thai, Traditional, or Ayurvedic massages. About 5-6 years ago we got introduced to Tui Na full body massage (combination of acupressure, deep tissue, and Swedish, and a very unique different technique hard to explain). Tui Na traditional Chinese massage helps heal ailments caused from a build up from stress in the body and specific areas of tension and pain and yes as the Chinese saying goes "no pain, no gain". Traditionally the masseuse first determines how much pressure you can tolerate do unless you ask them beforehand to be a bit gentle. A few weeks ago I discovered Ruth Spa Massage and found out that although not on their menu, they also specialize in Tui Na and we decided to set up an appointment. What a pleasant surprise - the place is incredibly clean and spotless. The massage rooms look quite elegant and by far the nicest Chinese massage parlor we have seen. We clarified again to ensure the masseuse understands what Tui Na was. For the first time, we did not volunteer the trouble spots and they did not ask us what our preference was except how much pressure we wanted. And Oh boy how happy we were. Both the massage therapists within no time were able to read our bodies and determine what was best for us and go to work. And yes they do know Tui Na. After an hour we couldn't feel our bodies and had the sensation of floating above ground. 2 weeks later I referred a good friend of ours who took our recommendation and had an incredible first time Tui Na massage. Finally we don't have to drive to Boston or Waltham and have a place 5 minutes from home. read more

Ugh, worst massage ever. There is a language barrier with the people that work there. I asked for a deep tissue massage. I did not get one. She didn't know what 'tickle' meant. She was tickling me with her finger tips. She left her phone on the massage table and every time a text came in, her phone dinged. She received a phone call during the massage and had to leave the room for a minute to talk to someone. The only good part was the price but I think I am worse off with shoulder and neck pain than I was before I went in. So sad and frustrating! read more

One of the best things about COVID is the opportunity to try new places. My friend and I happened upon Ruth Spa looking for a foot massage place and we couldn't be happier. First, and foremost, the safety measures taken were commendable. Remove your shoes and change into sterilized flip flops, temperature is taken, hand washing and hand sanitizer is required. Additionally, the "no touch" check in was great. (Use your phone to,scan bar code) The place is immaculate and exudes relaxation vibes. Big lazy boy chairs, nice lighting, and great temperature. Sometimes, places get too hot but this was not the case. It was perfect. Joy and Lucy are amazing. We opted for 90 minute foot massages and by the time we were done, it felt like we were walking on clouds. I highly recommend this place. Go ahead, book an appointment, you'll be happy you did.
