They offer everything from manicures, pedicures, hair removal and more. They don't have anyone that is really good at nail art, but the fact that they were willing to try and learn a design i wanted, really met my expectations. I love supporting local businesses and never write negative reviews. But I'm so upset about my experience. First, I can't believe I gave this place another shot after they filed my natural nails down to practically the skin of my nail bed 2 years ago with the nail grinder. I returned today, 2 years later for a pedicure, hoping the incident previously was a fluke. I decided to get a gel manicure and the guy immediately started using the power tool on my unpainted, short natural nails, filing them down so much on the beds that they were hot and are still throbbing 5 hours later. I asked the guy to stop filing them because it hurt and he laughed at me. I said "do you have to use that? My nails have nothing on them." To which he made a tsssk noise and rolled his eyes at me. My nails are paper thin now, with gel polish over them. They were so healthy and strong before. I splurged on myself today and feel like I was being told by the universe I had no business doing so. She took her time to finish and shape my nail so that it looks super natural even as it's grown out. At 2.5 weeks later it still looks just as great as it did when I had them done. I heard about this place from my boyfriends family. It was close by so I figured why not give it a try! Mostly all of the workers here are extremely rude!! When you ask them questions they will roll their eyes and visibly get annoyed. They don't interact with you at all. They just talk to each other (take shit about you). My main residence is in Boston but when I'm home visiting family, J&J is the only nail salon I'll go to. They have always honored our appointment times and my current set of gel nails is on week THREE and the only signs of damage are on two nails: one I broke about a week into the manicure but the polish still looked amazing so I just rolled with it and the other is a little peeled around the edge of the nail but besides for that my nails still look phenomenal! My mother frequents J&J much more frequently as she lives in the area but we both refuse to go anywhere else for gel manicures or pedicures! I don't understand how anyone could rate this spa greater than one. My mother-in-law, myself and my daughter made an appointment for 4 PM. My daughter and I were visiting so this salon was new to us. We have been getting Mani Pedi's for many years from salons where we live and can easily recognized quality from a total waste of money and time. When we arrived, our appointment slots had been taken by other customers. Time has not been reserved for us. What is the purpose of making a reservation? When one chair became available, my mother-in-law sat for her pedicure while we waited an additional half hour for ours. because we were seated late for our pedicures she had to wait 30 minutes for us. The woman who did my pedicure did a terrible job. She didn't add any skin softener to the water bath and the water was cold. She had to empty a few bowls of water from the tank in order to add hot water She was rushing from the behind and didn't moisten or thoroughly trim the cuticles on my toenails. She buffed the nails on one foot but not the other foot. When I asked her to remove more of the cuticle, she became defensive and snapped at me. She gave one kind of massage on my right leg and a different massage on the other leg...absent minded to say the least, and the man working on my mother-in-law was downright rude to her. On top of this, the only polish they have, unless you get gel or acrylics was Esse and OPI. They didn't have any long lasting polish or "quick dry". The Color selection was quite limited and their prices aren't any less than anywhere else. Unless you are absolutely desperate, and prepared to leave disappointed. Do not go here. We cancelled our manicures and had them done elsewhere. At least our feet will be hidden by socks. read more

I walked in for a spa pedicure- I was taken right away by Angela and she gave a wonderful spa pedicure, hot stones, massage of feet legs, sloughing and buffing and polish .... my feet look younger and ready for spring fashions. This was followed by a seated massage in a face down special massage chair. Angela then gave me the BEST neck and back massage I have ever had. The ten minutes felt longer and Angela used every minute to apply massage techniques to relax my tight neck and shoulders. This was fabulous! The pedicure was like a bonus. Just left J and J's! They never disappoint! Had a relaxing hot stone pedicure. The gentleman that did my pedicure took the time to trim and shape my toenails. Polish came out excellent! Next my dip pedi! I had Cindy! She removed my previous dip polish (done at a different salon) without any trauma (to me or my nailbeds!!!). I chose a sparkly apricot color which came out beautifully. It cost me $65 Let me start by saying it is clean, quiet and relaxing. I didn't have to wait. The normal Pedicure was what other places call a spa pedicure. I had my massage chair and the foot bath they use plastic they toss out after you are done! I picked my color and the experience began. Leland was the person who did my pedicure and manicure. He was very thorough and did a great job. You get a 6 minute leg massage OMG my legs and feet felt so relaxed! Parafin wax? Yup! My feet and legs are so soft. Gel manicure! I got a hand massage, he matched the color to my toes! Parafin wax on both me hands about 1/2 way up my arm. Shoulder and neck massage while my nails dried! The only thing I can ding them on is nail art. Not his strong suit. And they charge $5 extra which I find pretty standard. They have a customer loyalty card which is great after 10 services you get a free manicure or $15 off a service. I will definitely go back! read more

I stopped in at around 3 pm on a Thursday and there were 3 or 4 other customers, but I didn't have to wait for my pedicure. I chose my color from their large selection and Cindy, my nail technician, got right to work. They have several pedicure packages and I chose the Hot Stone Spa. It included detailed nail treatment, a callous removing treatment, hot towel treatment, a 10 minute foot massage, and a hot stone massage. While my toes were under the dryer, I received a neck and shoulder massage. Everything was clean and nothing was rushed. They were pretty busy by the time I left, so I would recommend making an appointment or calling ahead. I'll definitely be back. read more

Just found this spot through Yelp as I was passing through the city of Auburn. It's in the middle of the Heritage Mall Plaza. They've been here for about 11 months. It's very clean in here and quiet. I came in for a pedicure. My nail tech, Cindy, was pretty thorough and took direction well. The foot massage was bomb! I'd recommend Maria, the lady next to me had her and she was very vocal in her service and made sure the client enjoyed the service every step of the way. Their OPI select is great too. For $58.00 including the tip we got a wonderful manicure and pedicure with a 6 minute foot massage, heal wax, exfoliant, lotion, and pretty painted toenails with a design on the big toe. For the fingernails we got lotion, paraffin hand wrap, a neck and back massage, hand massage, and a full set of painted nails. Best pedicure I have EVER received in my life. Immaculately clean facility, very friendly staff and a lot of extras I have never received at other nail places. They use a tub liner in all the pedicures for sanitary reasons. A 6 minute timed leg massage and a very effective oil on the heals of your feet. Not sure how there is so many positive reviews. Tried this place for the first time today. Typical nail salon where they're constantly trying to offer things you don't want, whatever no problem. During my pedicure the nail tech told me my toes were pretty except my pinky toe was ugly and what did i do to it. Also whatever got over it. She pointed out a had a callus and literally wouldn't stop talking about it and my $55 pedicure turned into a $70 one. Then we get get to my nails which were so thick, lumpy, and weirdly shaped. I told her i didn't like them she attempted to fix them, they were still awful. She calls over 2 other techs and starts yelling in a different language while they all touch my nails. She gets up and says someone else will finish you i can't help you. The other nail tech made them decent but still not worth what i paid i want to rip them off. Horribly rude people will not be back. I went here with my mother today to get a nice mani/pedi before a family vacation, and at first it was great! The environment felt nice, there were a lot of colors to choose from, all that. I very quickly felt rushed. I had an idea for nails that I wasn't completely "it's this or nothing" on- just a basic idea of what I wanted for colors and a theme. The techs kept questioning it, even when I said it didn't have to be exact, just in the same ballpark. My pedicure turned out at least fine, though we paid for the hot wax and when it was going on my feet, the plastic was left hanging behind my heel and never once touched, so that was for nothing. At least the color was nice. The manicure only got worse, however, when I asked for a single nail fix, as I'd broken one to a much shorter length than the others. They made it the perfect length- great! I asked for them to match the length for each of my other nails, which I'd grown out for this occasion after struggling to grow them for a while. A few clips later... and they're shorter than the fixed nail! The end comes right up against my finger tip! I'd asked for rounded tips, and I was given square, which shortened them even more. When I chose a color, it took 3 of the techs to still fail to find it. I chose another color, not wanting to be terribly picky, but the only other color they had that I was looking for (green) was a much lighter shade, while all the others were cat eye styles, which wouldn't allow me to do the original style I'd planned on. I settled on a lighter shade, which was fine. When it came to the design I wanted, the black was only layered on once, and the green is still visible through where it is. Lines look sloppy, and sparkles pretty much cover any of the design up. At first, I was fine with it- I didn't want to cause a scene in-store, especially with my mother. The more I look at these nails, the more I realize I absolutely despise them. They look as rushed as they seemed to be, they're not even close to the length or shape I had asked for, and the design is barely passable for what was originally requested.
