Completely RUINED my nails!!! I have been getting builder gel/Russian manicures at a private nail tech for the past 2 years but she moved to a far location. I decided to come here since I saw they offered builder gel and the reviews weren't bad. I had gotten my nails done here a number of times but the last two were HORRIBLE. Whatever lady that works at chair 17 completely overfiled my nails, they hurt afterwards and all my nails started to break which they never do. The next time I came back, hoping that maybe it was a me issue and was too harsh with my nails (again my nails never break as I have pretty strong nails). I had a different nail tech, once she removed the builder gel my nails immediately hurt, especially with the drill. I have never been in that kind of pain before while getting my nails done. I decided to cut my nails short and they still have been breaking! All my nails are completely broken and have rings of fire on them. Basically paper thin where i need to be so careful with what I am doing otherwise they break so deep that they hurt. I have never had this happen to my nails before, even before I started going to a private nail tech and was going to other salons. Will never come back here. read more

If I could leave negative or even 0 stars I would. This is going to be a long but NECESSARY review. I have been getting my nails done here for the past 4-5 years with very minimal issues, nothing that would push me away let alone leave a bad review. However, this past appointment will very much be my last. I booked two days in advance asking for a full French gel X set on my hands and a full French gel set on my feet. The conversation ran normally over the phone, asking time and date I'd like to come in, and my appointment was booked with no further questions. This conversation seemed like the normal nail booking convo I've had over the phone for the past 4-5 years, so I thought nothing of it. Day of, I go in for my 10:30 am appointment and, as per usual, I'm sitting there for an almost extra 20 mins waiting for them to call me. Once called, I sit down with an older lady who asks to see what I want for my hands. I show her the picture and she immediately says she can do it and even takes a photo of my phone as reference. Not even 5 minutes later, the manager (?) (a white old man with a receding hairline) tells me that there's no one there to do my design (a cherry.) and that they were going to start me on my toes until someone who is qualified to do designs comes in. I said no problem and made my way to the pedicure chairs. The pedicure went fine, although I noticed none of the tools were cleaned or sterilized besides the cuticle clippers. Once the lady was wrapping up with my toes, an assistant comes by telling me that they are unable to do my French GelX set and they only have the time for a full color. I tell her that their poor time management is not on me and that I booked two days in advance for this specific set (which was for my birthday trip btw). I also remind her that the owner came and told me that someone would come and do it. She leaves to go verify what I said with the manager. A few minutes later, he comes marching over telling me they don't have time to do my set. I, again, repeat that their time management is not my problem and if they aren't going to do what I booked for, then I would like some kind of reimbursement. Without hesitation he goes "you absolutely will NOT be getting any type of reimbursement." So I quickly say they need to figure it out then because, for the third time, that's what I booked for. He then begins to gas light me and say that, when booking, they always ask "what type of French set" the client will be getting. That's when I lost my shit because, not only have I NEVER been asked what "type" of French set I'd be getting in the numerous years I've been coming here for French sets (since he claimed that I wanted a DEEP French and that would take muchhhhh more time than a regular French), but HE WAS THE ONE WHO MADE MY APPOINTMENT OVER THE PHONE. He quickly began blaming the person who made my appointment for not asking me what TYPE of French set I wanted and I told him I could give him a time stamp of when I called so that he could speak to that employee. He refused to see the time stamp because him and I both knew it was HIM who made the appointment. After this altercation, two nice young men came and finished my nails off for me with what I originally wanted, without any problems. More issues arose 3 days into my trip when my gel polish had peeled off. When I got back, I tried calling the salon to book to fix the nails and noticed they had BLOCKED my number when my calls went straight to voicemail but they had answered when I used my friends phone to call. In conclusion: AVOID THIS SALON AND SAVE YOUR MONEY BECAUSE I PAID ALMOST $200 NOT INCLUDING TIP FOR A POOR QUALITY JOB AND TO GO BACK AND FORTH WITH A CLUELESS PRICK WHO TREATS THE SALON AND ITS WORKERS LIKE A SWEATSHOP. read more

Everyone there is so incredibly talented! When I had called for my very first visit they had asked me if I wanted a design on my nails. I declined and was a little bit baffled by this question because I had never been asked that before. It turns out that all of their nail techs are fantastic artists as well! I opted for a regular Cat Eye magnetic gel polish on top of dip. I noticed they had far more Cat Eye nail polish options than my normal, go-to, salon. John let me know that next time I come in I should get a nice design on my nails and showed me what he and the others could accomplish. I was blown away! Next time I come in I will definitely get a fancy design. And I must say that the prices were beyond reasonable! I usually pay almost twice as much for what John did. I will be back in a couple of weeks! Don't forget to leave a generous tip. I came here twice and unfortunately I had two bad experiences. I came due to a lot of recommendations, but it did not live up. I only got pedicures so I cannot speak for the manicures. It seems to be a place that if you're not a regular it's probably not the best place. I went a few months ago for a pedicure and the water was SCALDING. I'm a hot shower girl all the way, so when I say it was scalding please believe that it was next level pain. I immediately alerted the technician and pulled my feet out. She shut off the water (did not run cold water) and began pulling my feet to put it back it. It was still scalding and now the burns have made my feet sensitive. I asked her to run cold water and after 30 seconds she began to push my feet back in again. This was traumatizing and there is noooo way that this is the usual customer experience. I wish I said something to the manager but I was so shocked that I wanted to leave as soon as possible. Nightmare. read more

Truly got a VIP experience at VIP. The salon is beautiful and just a little boujee---just what you want from a salon. Clean and professional. I waited about 40 minutes for a walk in but I expected a long wait. I got a pedicure and a fill for my acrylics. Katie was an excellent technician she did both my mani and pedi. I have been going to VIP regularly for over a year now, and it's hands down the best nail salon I've ever been to. In the year before I found VIP, I tried 4-5 other salons that were mediocre at best, and at worst, terrible. I never went to one more than a few times and felt no loyalty or connection. It took one manicure at VIP to convince me not to go anywhere else. I can't think of one negative thing to say. The salon is clean, bright, and modern. The staff is friendly, talented, and very responsive to calls or messages. I always get a dip manicure--they do a beautiful job and it always lasts for weeks. If I didn't constantly want a different color on my nails I could probably go up to a month with no cracks or chips. The prices are extremely reasonable, especially given the quality. I see Kyle or John for my nails and always leave happy. They take pride in the salon and love what they do, and it reflects in their work. Geeze. I've gotten my nails done 1 month ago and those bad boys are still sitting pretty. They're not handing on for dear life, they are fully intact with no breakage. You know after a couple weeks, and your nails start to slowly come apart and usually you first start noticing when you're combing through your hair and a strand gets stuck hinting at a fill and or replacement. Nope. Suckers are going strong, despite nail growth, nothing has changed. The force is strong in this one. The parking here kind of sucks, not too much parking and the lot there is narrow. The establishment is clean, and the staff are friendly. Somewhat pricier than other places I've been to, but they produce good work here! read more

I went and got a gel French and a deluxe pedicure. The tech I had was kinda rude when I asked if I could upgrade to the detox pedicure- she basically said no (it was at 530 and they close at 7 so I thought maybe it was because of that) but she was still rude about it. The pedicure itself felt very rushed, which was disappointing since it was the deluxe and you pay a lot for it. She was also trying to convince me not to get the french manicure I had booked (she was trying to convince me to do a solid color) I told her 2x I wanted the French manicure. When it came time for the nails, I needed some tips to be added since some of my nails were broken- she seemed annoyed by this and laughed when I asked her to do my index finger as well. She didn't cut or file my nails before putting the tips on- so you could see my nail behind the French manicure. The worst part was that my nail fell off 4 days after getting the manicure. Now I'll have to go somewhere else and pay for another whole manicure because I got them done for an event I have on Friday. Overall- seems like they just try to get as many people in and out as possible and the service suffered. read more

This nail salon was a great find! I moved to Worcester recently and have been struggling to find my go to Salon, the search is over! The staff are courteous and call you by name when you come in and leave. They offer coffee, tea or water. Kyle is amazing! He's nice and pays attention to what you want. Loved them! I used to go to Creative nails on Park Ave but I got tired of being disappointed by them so I decided to try out VIP Nails. First off, the salon is so cute inside and seemed very clean and welcoming to me. I was attended to very quickly, I got there at 12:45 and they got started at 12:48 (I spent the three minutes in between trying to pick a color lol). The picture of my nails wasn't the original color I picked, I picked a very light green, almost leaning to the teal side and I wanted a few lines of glitter. I wasn't sure how Maggie, my nail tech, would do a marble design but I thought that she would do two coats of the color and add the glitter over the swirls. She only did one coat and kind of put the glitter in random ways which left my nails with a color that I couldn't see much of and so I was a little disappointed (but that was also my fault for picking a light color and waiting until she was done to properly look at it). So I went to the front desk to pay, I thought I was just going to have to deal with the nails but the receptionist asked me how I felt about them and I shrugged because I wanted to tell her but I didn't want to be a pain in the butt but she was extremely sweet and asked for details on what I didn't like and she walked me over to Maggie's station and asked her to fix the things I didn't like. I felt bad and I was worried she would be mad and half-ass my nails redo but Maggie was understanding about it and did a great job. I highly recommend this place!!!!! I just wish they had a tip option for us who pay with card. read more

This is my second time going to VIP Nails before writing this review and I definitely recommend this nail salon in worcester!! There are so many talented nail artists if you are looking to get some nail art on your manicure. If you want a manicure with no nail art, they are amazing at it as well!! The nail techs make sure your nails are taken care of and they take their time to make sure your nails look stunning. I tried their gel and it lasted 3 weeks for me before having to go back. They also offer dip and regular manicures. There is a parking lot available which makes it super convenient to come here!! I think they are fairly priced as well so definitely a must-try. read more

I might not come back for a manicure because I wasn't as impressed with the finishing or the duration (started chipping about 3-4 days in), but my goodness I will return for a pedicure any day. I was veeeery relaxed, so much so I almost fell asleep as the ambiance was nice and tranquil. My pedicurist really took his time with his work and I swear I gave him a tip solely based on his leg/foot massage. Not many people really exert a lot of force during the massage portion, but wow we really went to town. My tired feet appreciated it tremendously. My review is not for the nail salon as a whole since this was my first time going and I've only seen one nail technician. The nail salon is very clean and had endless color options! My review is for the actual nails that I walked out with. Here are the pictures of what I asked for versus what I got. Uneven/splotchy nail polish and a weird nail shape that resembles white chiclets gum glued to my nails. Before the nail tech started, I asked if she could clean up my cuticles. I understand that cuticle cutting is not usually included when getting a full set, which is why I requested that it be added on. She decided to cut my cuticles after painting my nails, which resulted in my nails looking like they already had a week or two of growth. Getting your nails done nowadays is pricey, so I felt the need to speak up and let the technician know that due to my cuticles being cut after the fact, the nail polish did not cover my entire nail bed. She was kind enough to redo the nails, but she definitely rushed the process and made me feel uncomfortable for even saying anything. She painted my nails twice before the two women beside of me (one who was there well before me and one who showed up at the same time) even had their nails painted once, which is very telling. In the end I paid a lot of money for nails that I could not wait to remove. read more
