New owners! The place has been revived! New, pedi chairs and new staff. Don't get me wrong, I've been co Big here for over 10 years. I wish I was a regular, but I don't have that luxury. I go maybe 6 times a year. I have always loved their prices. And they've always done a nice job. But... I just went for a pedi. Like the cheapest one (prices have not changed) and, Oh my goodness... it was amazing! My nails came out great, but the massage on my calves and feet, so so so good! She is a highly skilled professional. Oh and she managed to get me to relax while my 6 year old had her first mani/ pedi ever. Let's talk about how amazing the woman was who took care of her! She was super sweet with my daughter. My daughter allowed her to trim a hang nail, I wouldn't have been allowed to touch. She was super kid friendly. Did an amazing job on her toes and fingernails, and treated her so well. We loved every minute of this experience! Thank you L&T! We will be back! read more

This place was excellent! I am someone who gets dip with tips and typically when I go to switch sets nails, salons will try to shove things under the nail or take a drill to the nail so that the natural nail underneath breaks too. However, this place took the time to remove the nails properly to protect the natural nail and make the overall process painless. Jack did my nails and he did a great job going and evening out the nails afterward because sometimes dip can be uneven without taking the time to fix it. Overall great experience! read more

Clean, friendly, fast and the pedis last looooonnnnggg!

Called ahead for a pedicure with a friend, and they made no mention of being on a tight schedule. When we arrived, I felt very pressured to select a color - the nail technician stool directly behind me and was essentially aggressively whispering suggestions in my ear until I eventually selected a polish. The entire pedicure lasted about 7 minutes - I couldn't believe they were already painting 3 minutes after I sat down. I honestly couldn't even tell you if they buffed anything at all. Ultimately we figured out it was because they had several other appointments 15 minutes after our arrival. Giving 2 stars only because the paint job looked clean and the nails were shaped nicely. read more

I enjoyed my mani and pedi experience at this salon. And for such a affordable price!!!

The MAIN reason I go here - for some reason their gel manicures seem to last longer than other salons. I can't explain why. Perhaps they don't keep adding thinner to the polish to get the most out of the bottle maybe it's because they usually do three coates instead of two...but whatever the reason I can usually make a gel maniture last three weeks or more without chipping. But it really depends on who does it. Jessica the owner does the best job the rest of the staff are really better at traditional manicures not so good with gel. I've gone to other salons and my polish was chipping in about 5 days. At L&T I've had a few gel manicures where that happend but they were not done by Jessica. When she does it you can easily get three weeks unless your hands are in water all the time. I agree with a previous customer who stated the owner can give you attitude sometimes. I've seen it occasionally but usually only when the salon is very very busy and she gets stressed out. It is not professional but frankly if i can get close to 4 weeks out of a 25.00 manicure I can ignore attitude. Yes the place is clean but the other salons in town are just as clean but their gel manicures are not as good. I also think they give excellent pedicures as well. I don't know if they are any better than any other place around - but they ARE good.And my polish won't chip for a long time either. I think they are smart enough to know that can't mess with the product like a lot of other salons do. I've seen some places put a ton of thinner into a polish bottle to get the last drops out of it but that polish won't stay on your nails for long so it's not worth messing with it!!! Here they donn't seem to do that and as long as they don't I will contiue to get my nails done here. read more

I would give this salon 0 stars if I could! I just went in and at first it was ok because my friend and I weren't able to get an appt anywhere else and they took "us" within 5 minutes. The. We asked if they had dip and they said yes the colors are over there. The color were VERY limited and not presented nicely at all and the color were inaccurate. My friend had dip on her nails and they said they would start to take hers off before they did mine but instead they just took me while my friend contributed waiting throughout my entire manicure. During my manicure she didn't prep my nails, push back my cuticles, etc. In addition my nails polish is completely transparent because she didn't put enough coats on. Towards the end of my manicure there were multiple people who arrived. So, right when she with my nails, instead of taking my friend who had been waiting for over 20 mins, she began helping a customer who had just walked in. Also she charged me $37 for a very terrible manicure, and I know for sure I can get a better dip manicure somewhere else for MUCH cheaper...my DOG could do a better dip manicure than this!! I go here ritually for gel mani's..I have been doing my nails for years with different salons they have the most reasonable prices... Some places charge 30 to 50 for gel mani's... when i moved back to town i decided to check this place out... I love the staff they are sweet and down to earth.. honestly to work in the industry they do in this town especially with some customers who have a sense of entitlement and treat people like they are below them is not easy... they have to deal with a lot of nonsense all day long from very rude people.. I have seen it first hand. Anyone who can not understand that sometimes people have bad days especially when you work 11hr days everyday... should just not go out in public. read more

Very clean place, staff was very friendly. I paid $50 for a Pedicure and a manicure with OPI Gel. Not a bad price. I only went here because my son was at a birthday party down the road and had to kill 1hr-1/2 and it was perfect timing. Got out in time to head back down the road to Fore Kicks and pick him up. I honestly think the girl forgot to cut my cuticles on my nails, I didn't notice it until the next day. I came to L&T nails because of the reviews and I was not disappointed. Last night, I had a manicure and pedicure. Since I talk all day at work, when I go to a nail salon, I prefer quiet relaxation. L&T did not disappoint. The lavendar lotion used during the pedicure and the chair massage made my stress go away. Then, onto the manicure. The hand massage was amazing! I left with my nails smooth and shiny in a spring shade of pink. But today proved this salon is top notch. When I got home, of course I smeared. I tried to fix it myself, only to make it worse. I noticed L&T did repairs, so I walked in today for one. Not only did they repair the smeared nail, they touched up the others AND re-topcoated. :) They did not charge me anything for it, even though it was my fault I smeared. I'm so impressed with this salon's business, courtesy, and professionalism. As icing on the cake, the prices are incredible (i.e. $35 for a mani-pedi). I will definitely be back!! read more

Went here during my lunch break for a gel mani and it was awful! Asked for two colors and they had no idea what I was asking for. The lady didn't even paint my entire finger nails with the polish. The gel mani was over priced ($27) usually I pay $25 closer to where I live. Would not recommend. read more

Went there with my aunt for my bday treat. When doing my pedicure the tech dropped one of the nail implements on the floor; which she then picked up and continued using-so unhygienic!! My aunt's tech did not even file her foot nails properly- my aunt had to point it out couple of times. My manicure looks gooped on and untidy. And I was barely out of the salon when my manicure smudged. Waste of money- I will not come back here again! Update: My pedicure smudged in the evening in about 2 hours-see attached pic. read more

Having recently moved to the area, I needed a new place for a pedicure. Came here on a Friday late morning. Overall, the staff were friendly and did a good job on my pedi (& my daughter's mani). They were able to give us an appointment the same morning I called. It wasn't overly busy but all 3 nail techs were with customers before, during and as we left. The spa pedicure was a little shorter (in time) than I'm used to (20 mins only) but it worked out fine for that day. Prices are about the same as other salons. The only downside is the salon and equipment seemed a bit dated. read more

We were treated very well, and were able to sit next to each other for both gel manicures and pedicures. The staff was super sweet and accommodating and my nails came out beautifully!! In a 3 mile stretch of Northborough, there are 5 nail salons. L & T is my favorite! It's clean, the people are nice & they don't seem to have a lot of staff turn-over. They do a great job! They do a good job at a decent price. It is best to make an appointment because you might end up waiting for a while if you don't. However if you plan on driving down and waiting in person, don't call first because they try to talk you out of coming in if they are already busy. Even when I have said I do not mind waiting they push me not to come in and wait. You should know that sometimes the owner can give you a bit of an attitude. I went in when it was slow (afternoon time) and the owner gave me the 'bums rush' out the door. I was quietly sitting under the nail light to dry my nails because I always end up smudging my polish by leaving too early. No one else was waiting to use the nail drying light and there were maybe 2 other customers in the place. The owner came over and demanded that my nails are dry by now and motioned me to get up and leave. I explained to her I was just trying to make sure my nails were completely dry before leaving but she motioned for me to get up anyway. She made me feel as though I was kid or not a paying customer. A friend of mine also went there recently to have the owner give her an attitude every time my friend asked to see a specific employee. The newer employee they have is not doing the best job and both of us have been cut during manicures before. I am still a little upset by being pushed out the door like I wasn't a paying customer and an adult. I don't look that young to be treated like an unruly teenager. So sadly customer service is not a high priority here. Not sure if I will be going back again after the way myself and my friend have been spoken to by the owner. Sadly I was the one who got my friend to start going to this place compared to another place nearby because L&T does have slightly lower prices than other nail salons in the area. I care about cleanliness but also customer service, as having years of working in retail, treating all customers well and equally is the key to a business's growth and survival in this market when there is so many competing businesses nearby. Honestly I am shocked about how my friend and I have been treated so abruptly by the owner. We are always pleasant adult customers and always make sure to tip the staff. If the owner reads this then please start being friendly and polite to ALL of your customers, especially when we are adults and paying for a service, if you want customers to return time and time again. You can't be nice to some and abrupt and pushy with others. read more
