I happened upon Lush after several bad salons experience with the last severely damaging my nails. Each were highly rated and am now questioning these folks standards. When I arrived at Lush, my nail beds were severely thin and hurt when touched by hot water. My nails were ugly! I was going to cover them again with powder, but the technician refused to do so due to their poor condition and recommended an over counter treatment. I went home, followed the plan for 3 weeks and to my amazement it worked. Appreciating her integrity and complete client focus, I returned for a gel manicure. Service and attitude is impeccable! My nails continue to improve under Rhea's care , my cuticles are healthy and am no longer hiding my hands. The best part is my confidence! My nails makes me feel extra beautiful! I've been getting pedicures for my whole adult life and Lush pedis last twice as long as anywhere else.

Linda was great! It's hard to find nail technicians that like doing liquid gel, and do it WELL. It's nice to have your favorite nail technician, but sometimes schedules don't align and it's nice to know I could book with someone else who is capable of doing liquid gel as well as Linda. I have my nails done only on special occasions so I'm not as well versed on the process as the regulars are. Had them done at Lush in Northboro 2 days ago. My experience was not a good one. The manicurist began by gently (too gently) pushing back my cuticles. We reached the hand scrub after which I washed my hands. I wanted a French manicure. After she painted on the tips, she put a base coat on. So far not great. My cuticles were not looking good. She then put what looked like a nail strenghener on. It very clear and very pink. After that she set me up at the drying station. There was something very wrong here. Besides missing 3 steps to finish my nails I noticed that the "hermetically" sealed packet of instruments she used on me was not sterilized. In my profession, dental hygiene, we used those same packets for our instruments after putting them thru 2 other steps before placing them in the paper packet and then in the autoclave. before sterilization the packets are smooth. After sterilization the packets are crinkled and adhered to its contents. Enough said. theres more but I will end by saying that I will never go back. read more

I contacted the manager here on Yelp on a Saturday morning before they opened (I knew if I didn't message right then I'd forget to call) to make an appt. Sonny got back to me in 5 minutes and accepted my appt. I arrived early and got seen to right away however the girl's attitude wasn't the best and my manicure wasn't great, a little messy and reckon it won't last very long. I'm pretty sure the nails are all unevenly filed. I might be a little biased though because my nail place at home in San Diego was so awesome! It's just disappointing because everything else was fantastic and really gave me high expectations. They had little pebbles in the bottom of the wash bowl and a choice of a salad or sugar scrub. My nails deteriorated (several with polish just peeling off) throughout my vacation... it was gross/very disappointing). Also, despite never having an issue with pedicures wearing off... they usually just grow out...the polish has chips across the tips. Honestly...
