I happened upon Lush after several bad salons experience with the last severely damaging my nails. Each were highly rated and am now questioning these folks standards. When I arrived at Lush, my nail beds were severely thin and hurt when touched by hot water. My nails were ugly! I was going to cover them again with powder, but the technician refused to do so due to their poor condition and recommended an over counter treatment. I went home, followed the plan for 3 weeks and to my amazement it worked. Appreciating her integrity and complete client focus, I returned for a gel manicure. Service and attitude is impeccable! My nails continue to improve under Rhea's care , my cuticles are healthy and am no longer hiding my hands. The best part is my confidence! My nails makes me feel extra beautiful! Rhea listens, evaluates, recommends with the consideration of your lifestyle and creates wondrous magic with here skillful abilities. I contacted the manager here on Yelp on a Saturday morning before they opened (I knew if I didn't message right then I'd forget to call) to make an appt. Sonny got back to me in 5 minutes and accepted my appt. I arrived early and got seen to right away however the girl's attitude wasn't the best and my manicure wasn't great, a little messy and reckon it won't last very long. I'm pretty sure the nails are all unevenly filed. I might be a little biased though because my nail place at home in San Diego was so awesome! It's just disappointing because everything else was fantastic and really gave me high expectations. They had little pebbles in the bottom of the wash bowl and a choice of a salad or sugar scrub. This is an update to my previous review. Despite comment by business owner "Sonny P," I was never contacted. My nails deteriorated (several with polish just peeling off) throughout my vacation... it was gross/very disappointing). Also, despite never having an issue with pedicures wearing off... they usually just grow out...the polish has chips across the tips. Honestly... I've finally found my new pedi place! My first visit was yesterday for a Spa Pedicure. The salon was clean and bright and I was greeted cheerfully. I had an appointment and was seated right on time (after a quick trip to the very nice, clean, gender-neutral restroom). The stations and tools all appear to be clean, sterile, and well-maintained. My technician Kim was extremely pleasant, and I enjoyed chatting with her throughout my visit. The Spa Pedicure is reasonably priced at $45, and Kim paid excellent attention to detail. Her technique is gentle but thorough, and she checked in regularly about my preferences. The leg massage was relaxing and invigorating, and my nails look great! I also appreciate the convenience of online booking. I scheduled an afternoon appointment the day beforehand, and received a confirmation text the next morning (the day of the appointment) when Kim accepted the booking. Lush is about a 30-minute drive for me, but it's worth it for this ideal experience. I'm looking forward to becoming a regular. read more
