I live in California. With family in Avondale we visit a few times a year. We really look forward to a real Hoagie not what we get in CA. A few years ago, I got the worst hoagie from Primo, it was roll and meat nothing else (no lettuce, tomatoes, onions, spices or oil). I wrote a review on Yelp. Since then we have gotten decent hoagies but not up to the standard of a Philly hoagie. We came in on Wednesday. When we got home from the airport my daughter-in-law got us hoagies from Primo' s. My hoagie was good but my wife ordered a cheese hoagie and got cheese on a roll. Nothing else. Just like I got a few years ago. Please see the pics of her hoagie. Wow, what happened to Primos??? This place was fire 10 years ago. Now, $10.99 gets you a tiny sandwich and it doesn't even come on the signature primos roll anymore. I'm never coming back. Our Primos hoagies yesterday had zero taste. Was like eating a piece of bread with nothing in it.

I love Primo's as a chain, but the location in Kennett Square leaves a lot to be desired. Every time I have ordered anything from there in the past year, they leave something out and/or get the order wrong. The quality of the food is good, but I can't give a rave review when you make my sandwich wrong every single time. I think the employees at this location could use more training and it would go a long way towards making this Primo's better. For the KSQ area, Capriotti's is better. read more

Rainy Sunday craving a good Italian hoagie call Primos in Kennett it's my first time ordering from their first time I've had a hoagie in a while. I called and ordered two Italian hoagies mayo oil lettuce tomato onion pickles. I know we're in a middle of the corona epidemic. Go in to pick up my order. Almost done the cashier says well bring it out to your car. They do that go home rip open the wrap. There she is. One primo Italian hoagie. My mouth starts the salary can't wait set up on my table take that first bite rolls nice and crunchy and then it's just dry. I know I ordered mayo oil and all the other fixings. Seems like somethings missing. Just a dab mayo doesn't seem like there's any oil on it anywhere; little disappointed at this time. Walk to the fridge grab my mayo throw a little mayo on there that still doesn't do the trick. My cravings have not been met I did finish it. Overall good hoagie not the best not what I was l forward to. I know what primos is capable of doing. Not sure if these guys are so far from Philly they don't know how to make a good hoagie. Food was not good bc order one thing and when I got home to eat it it was something totally different. Worker were nice.

I went into Primo's on 03/23/2023 @ 4:32pm to pickup my order, when i get inside I went to the cash register to tell my name, the young guy behind the counter started to check me out when the owner came out and grabbed the bag and yelled who did these, yell again " who did these" still yelling you didn't label the hoagies and took the bag over to the area that they label and wrap and yelled again you will need to open these and label them. I couldn't believe that she would yell in front of customers. I felt bad for the employee's, I walked out and thought to myself those kids don't need that and should go looking for a better job, like WAWA or Giant. those places are looking and I have never seen and employee yelling at other employee. I suggest if you want a Primos hoagie go to West Chester, They have better deals. read more

"This is a really, really good sandwich." I end up saying that every time I'm here and I mean it. For years I hoped that a Primo would open in this area and this location does not disappoint. At one point I made it my mission to eat my way through the menu but abandoned that and am focused on my favorites. The folks that work here are always very friendly and the sandwiches come out quickly. This was the first time we have ordered from this location and it was a bit of a disappointment. We ordered 4 hoagies-the Italian was missing the sweet peppers on the side, The Nellies were on non seeded rolls and squished with very little meat. The chicken cutlet was on a non seeded roll and there were only 2 small pieces of chicken that was mushy. Overall a blah experience for almost $40. Only place around I know that slices the meat and cheese for each hoagie, as it should be. Best in this area. Store is difficult to find, set back from the road, so look for it. Only improvement would be more mature staff not closing the place down an hour and 15 minutes before closing. All chairs upside down on tables and they ask for here or to go? We loved this place when it first opened. My husbands first job was at a Primos in NJ. That being said, the past few times we have ordered, we haven't been happy. I called ahead and was told 30-35 minutes. I had some errands to run, so no problem! I get there 40 minutes later and pay for my food and the girl at the register literally says can I help who is next. Where is my food? I waited another 15 minutes and finally after the crowd left bought a soda and she said "oh what was your order name again?" ...... had been sitting on the counter the entire time ready for me to take home. I understand weekends are super busy, but we aren't coming back to this location. read more

We were hesitant to try this location based on several negative reviews. We decided to give it a try and are so glad we did. The bread was fresh as was the meat. We called in our order and it was ready for pick up when promised. We will definitely go back. read more

Horrible experience - zero star if I had that option. Had 24 hour advance order to pick up party tray. Arrived at scheduled pickup and they hadn't even starting making it. 15-20 minutes later I asked how much longer as I not only missed Game 1 kickoff because of delay, but had a house of guests waiting. They said "maybe 15 minutes" so my 12:30 pickup was "maybe" going to be ready by 1:30?? I cancelled the order, called Giordano's when I got in car, and Giordanos had my hoagies ready when I arrived 10 minutes later. I arrived at the Philly airport at 4:30 and decided to stop for a hoagie on my way to visit family in Avondale. We stopped at PrimoHoagies Kennett Square1278 Baltimore Pike Kennett Square, PA. This was a huge mistake. Since the name has hoagies in it, I expected a great hoagie BUT it was terrible. I ordered a Mild Italian Hoagie with sweet peppers. When I unwrapped it I had a roll, meat, and sweet peppers but no tomato, lettuce, onions, spices or oils, that I expect on a hoagie. It was dry and just a meat sandwich. Who would even say hoagie but not have tomato, lettuce, onions, spices or oils on it? I wasn't the only one disappointed, my daughter-in-law ordered a turkey and cheese salad but got a sandwich. Never again will I stop at PrimoHoagies and neither will my family - such as disappointing visit - I wanted a great hoagie and got a meat sandwich. read more
