You would think that a restaurant that wants return clientele would make it right credit you for the food that you did not eat that they took back into the kitchen, but no they decided to only credit 1 margherita pizza out of five meals that were not edible. When I questioned are waitress crediting us for the rest she did not answer me she looked at me and walked away. We left and will not return. normally I always give a restaurant a second chance when they make the effort to make the customer happy, but not this time. Not sure if they have a new cook or possibly going through hard times. Reservations still take a year (though it's easier to snag a cancelation or weekday as they recently added online reservations in April 2026). However, it was well worth the wait (and I'm not sure why I waited so long to try it)! We left stuffed between the hors d'oevres, eight courses, bread, surprise course, and plenty of wine to wash everything down. On the positive side, the place was quiet which was nice, the manager (or maybe it was even the owner) when we asked for more water bought us a carafe so we didn't run out again (which I love), and also when we left I accidentally forgot my takeout container on the table and again the manager (or owner) ran out after us to get it to us which I appreciated so much. Relative to the food, it was average (minus the salt side of the burger which was not good). The soft pretzel appetizer was good and I had lasagne which was decent enough. I will say it was a huge lasagne portion (two squares)! Overall, I'm not sure I'd go back with so many other options.

I ordered it rare (of course) and it's served on a steak roll with lettuce, tomato, and basil mayo and a side of French fries. It was delicious and cooked perfectly and I would get it every time. At $19 it's not cheap (and it's messy to eat with stuff dripping and slipping everywhere) but it's like having an actual steak and a sandwich all in one. I would gladly eat this every time I go there. You can eat inside the cafe or they have a couple of (rusty) tables outside where you can nibble (and in my case dribble). We also took home a mini frozen Shepards pie (just ok) and some big type of big beans (pretty good) from the charcuterie.
